[X] [Rin]

Well, this is a difficult choice, but alas, I'm (mostly) sure that the Point of Divergence for this timeline was us finding Medea, so for the moment, I'd like to see if Rin will still get best husbando Archer, or if we'll have to deal with something else this time around.

looks at marisbury summoning fucking Sauron. you sure about that?
...Would you believe me if I told you that I actually forgot about that? Like, I forgot he even existed!

Still! With that reminder...

[X] [Illya]

Murderloli is bad... Unless she's on our side, of course!

So, I'm guessing that Rin managed to summon a Saber. It just won't be the one we're expecting.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Luke Skywalker.

That... would honestly end really well for her. And for the grail war. He's a fucking murder monster firmly on the side of good. (I stick with EU canon)

[X] [Rin]
In which a girl's dream comes true.

[X] [Illya]
In which the hunt is on.

Reminder question, is approval voting allowed? Torn bc rin being a disaster is always fun, but ilya's prompt sounds fantastic

EDIT: ty, edited post for both votes.

Sakura looks back to where Caster was standing, only to find herself looking at the small collection of shoes you kept near the door.
Just because Medea is going along with your idiocy doesn't mean she's going to involve herself any more than necessary.
She then looks back, her eyes searching your face for several long moments. "You're… a magus?"

You nod. "My father… my adoptive father, was one, and he taught me a little. I'm third rate, if anything.
Nah, you're more of a remix. A mimicry. A... faker.:V
Sakura continues staring at you, then closes her eyes and lets out a sigh. "That… Shirou." Sakura then squirms a little in your arms, and you move your hands away so that she can sit up herself.

She still seems rather out of it, kind of jumpy and more than a little nervous and worried. "I…" Sakura draws in a breath, like she isn't sure of what she was about to say.
Sakura isn't sure how much she can tell because Zolken is watching everything we do through the countless rape worms inside her body that can gruesomely murder her at any time.
It must be a magical artifact of some sort, you had never seen one in person, but from what little you understood they could be amazingly powerful. Especially something like the Holy Grail. "So it's a contest, why were you so frightened then?"

Sakura freezes, like I had brought her back to the very beginning of this conversation. "Because… masters kill masters Shirou. And it will not end until there is just one left."

… Oh. It's a blood game.
Blood game, Battle Royale, Grand Melee, Murder Death Kill, the name may get different localizations but the thing described is all the same.
"I have no plans on taking part." You admit.

"W-what?"

You shake your head firmly. "I rescued Caster because she was injured. I didn't summon her, if she needs me mana I'll supply it, but I don't plan on hurting anyone for a wish."
Ah, Shirou, Shirou, Shirou. Lemme tell you a tall tale. A story about an azure Erinaceinae that can break the sound barrier. He was a hero, beloved by all, who always faced down planet-ending threats time and time again with a cocky grin and a snappy one-liner. But what most people didn't see past the way-past-cool attitude was his mind. He lived for the moment, yes, but each moment was meant to be spent experiencing the world, finding all sorts of thrilling adventures, and enjoying them to the end. But most importantly, he wanted everyone that same freedom to experience all life had to offer. So every time he faced down his enemy, he never finished them off. Even when pushed to the brink by a nanite roboticizer plague that consumed his friends, the hero always left his foe to make the choice of whether to continue his evil ways, or make something new. Even when he and everyone else knew the outcome, the hand still had to be reached out.

What lesson do you see in this, young hero-to-be?
Sakura looks away, her hands wrenching together. "Shirou that's… not how it works, even if you don't fight, you have a servant now. Other masters will target you. I would…" She cuts herself off there, unable to finish her statement.

"No you wouldn't," you finish for her. "I'd never hurt you Sakura, and you'd never hurt me."
Zoulken: "You can, you will, and if you don't I'll make you explode him with rapeworms, then your sister, and finally yourself."
Sakura stares at you, her hand clutched before her chest, then she hiccups, tears spilling from the corners of her eyes. "Shirou!"

You barely catch her before she collides with your chest, crying in… you hope relief, you fear worry. Your hands move around her back, pressing her against you as she sobs, one hand slowly moves through her hair as you let her vent, your eyes however, stay focused on the corner Caster disappeared into.
Jokes and forced references aside, we should remember that Shirou isn't stupid or unintelligent. He just has severe PTSD and doesn't have a healthy self-image.
Smiling, you turn back to the kitchen and take stock of your supplies. You don't have much, you had planned to go grocery shopping after school today… but that opportunity was robbed from you. "After lunch we'll need to go out, I need to get groceries." You pause then, looking back at Caster. "Do you… have other clothes?"

The woman was dressed in the same robes you had first met her wearing, and beyond the bit of male clothes you had bothered her, you doubt she had anything else to wear. You'd ask Sakura, but Caster was a good half a foot taller than her, her and Taiga were about the same size… but you didn't rightly know what was up with Taiga at the moment. Or, ever, honestly. But now especially.

Caster says nothing for several seconds. Then answers simply. "No. I do not. Nor do I require them. If I have need to leave I can hide my form."

You frown, ignoring the sound behind you of Sakura getting some pots and pans out. "Well, I am going out after lunch if you want to… go out and get some clothes, or anything else you need."

Caster tilts her head again, a rather favorite pastime of hers. "I do not require anything, but I shall follow in your shadow to monitor."
Pft. Ya'll don't need Rei, Medea is providing all the Tsundere we need right here!

Nah. FGO already did the Star Wars crossover so we can give that something of a closer look. Considering Sakura's plot-essential nature, her own hidden dark feelings, and being the host of a time-space breaking darkness, she would 100% of the time summon Anakin Skywalker in all his Chosen One bullshit glory. Anakin Skywalker would definitely care for Sakura and want to help her get with Shirou, but unquestioningly end up walking into Grail Mud to become Darth Vader and help end the world.

In which a pact is formed.
OK, let's check in on the guy we need to stab repeatedly in the kidney.

What did she get, if not Greek Superman?

Grabbing the bowls you drop them into the sink, pouring a good amount of soup and water into them to let them soak, then the three of you head out together, Caster slipping into your shadow as you cross the threshold.
Soaking a bowl in soup sounds counterproductive to getting them clean.
