[X] [Find the Castle]

If Rin is willing to hurt civilians now, that alone should tell Shirou that something's not right with her. And knowing that, Shirou is aware that he's incapable of using mind magic to see what's wrong. So at the moment, Rin is a problem he can't solve. It probably wounds him deeply to know he can't help one of his friends, but he can't just chase Rin and abandon Medea and Circe. So back to the forest he goes, and if necessary, to summon Mordred. There probably won't be much forest left after Mordred reunites with her father.

I'd probably also factor in an action to compel Mordred to meet up at Illya's castle. Or make her way to Shiro. Who will either be heading to illyas castle, or to wherever the hell Rin is.

Can Mordred make herself invisible? Or is Shiro too low in mana to allow her too.

[X] [Go After Rin]

Imagine massacring citizens just to have a fancy cup on your shelf.

At least use it to drink chocolate milk or something
But Rin is japanese! So she's likely to have a lactoseintolerence like 90% of it's population!

But yeah something is off about Rin... Disturbingly so.

like others said, we're in no condition to fight Saber, Rin and Kotomine and his servant. We need to gather our strength and properly plan this rather than bumrush it at the first oppurtunity.

That doesn't really stop the Japs… same with the Chinese.

I do believe she is part Finnish though, her gran or great gran being an Edfelt (or Swedish, Finn nobles tended to be Swedes)…

But yeah something is definately off with Rin. Perhaps she's been corrupted, maybe she's had her mind meddled, or maybe meanie Artoria made her kneel…

Or salter tried for Guinevere round 2 and found some new ways of 'persuasion', in between 'romantic' glutton dates at Maccas.

Assasin didn't kill Rin for a reason. Also we would get bodied by Saber and Mordered would drain us dry, Rin will answer for this before the war is over.

Results so far. Yes I'll manually tally write-ins.

[X] [Go After Rin]

Welp, that sound is my heart breaking. Gods, Rin, why? I don't know how to fix this - it's a clusterfuck, after all - but I can say I look forward to the next part. And it evoked feelings in me, even if they are of sorrow.

You let out a breath, then take another step forward. "If I have to Tohsaka, yes."
It's a minor nitpick, and my knowledge of English punctuation is middling at best so I tend to stay silent about them for the most part... but here, the lack of commas of address makes me read this as a verb. When you have to Tousaka, you have to.

Hmm, so what made it different from the decision to continue to the castle? Far as I can see, we dropped into a shop, and Saber/Rin lost sight of us for a moment, allowing Sakura to summon Archer and prolong the fight. Maybe? I am still not sure about the logic that separates a good fight from a Bad End. For a moment I thought it was because Rin wouldn't get the big guns out in the city, but she dispelled that notion real quick.

It'd be nice if the fact that Sakura and Rin used the same spell didn't get wasted on Shirou. That's about as much advance warning about their situation as he is going to get.

"You could have killed her, easily." Caster says, an accusation in her tone.

"Yes." Assassin agrees, then turns to look at you all with a small smile. "But I do not believe that would have been correct."
Yeah, not with her Master. Although I am wondering what alternatives are there for us. Have Taiga call her caretaker to school to give him a disciplining speech?

It is quite literally now or NEVER. So obviously we should go after Rin now, lest we regret it later.
You mean while we're heavily injured and the party we're pursuing are going toward Bri "Tha Human Sized Nuke" hannala (who already almost killed us and did kill a lot of people trying to get us, and that was when we were in much better shape) and more importantly, are fresh as fucking daisies? Mordred we can command seal in to deal with Saber, likely in a mutual kill seeing how their lives ended, but what in the hell is your plan to deal with the murderous Indian Servant?

See, on the one hand going to the church probably means having to deal with Salter and Brihannala together.
On the other this might be the last and only chance to do anything in terms of Rin, since we're perilously close to having no more options for her. Might even say that letting us have a do-over in that regard might have been too nice, but if we're being given one might as well use it.

Locking in 48.

We are in NO SHAPE OF FORM to deal with Salter, let alone Kirei and very likely Brihannala. We need to reunite with Big Sister ASAP.
Rider powered-up by Illya has very good chances against Salter.
Or better then Rider, go with Berserker. I think a full tilt Mordred would be able to deal with a lot of the problems we have right now.

And if nothing else she can finally get her grudge match with dear dad.

Actually, it is very strange that Assassin didn't kill Rin. Would've been easy, and it's not like there's a pre existing relationship doing so would've interfered with. The way she phrased it makes it sound like a dig at Shirou stopping her from poking at Ritsuka's mind to tell her whatever she wanted to know, but that feels petty and out of place. The not killing that is, the verbal slight is perfectly in line.

So what was her concern about killing Rin given such a perfect opportunity?

My guess is that is was just to perfect. Her Servant was very occupied, she was completely alone, was focused on the fight, and acting somewhat off. She might've suspected this was a setup to get Rin killed, for whatever reason. And while I can't think of a specific reason, given who likely gave them this power, that fits. Maybe just get rid of Rin to control Saber directly.

The enemy retreats, and we can continue our mission while hitting what is believed to be a safe locale at a time when we need to recuperate. Only downside I see is being too far away to deal with other complications in the city, should they make themselves known (not out of the realm of possibility).
