im glad you guys chose training , even if boy is a bit too whiny for my taste sometimes . I think it will be great character building to go the slow and steady route rather than quick power grab.

"-then I accidentally headbutted her mount, in what was an attempt to merely halt it." You explain with a wince. "To which she then laughed, saying it was a *Nice one* and that it would *teach Ironsides not to be so pissy*."

Just saying that makes me feel… embarrassed. Spirits below, such crude language.

Frigimon lets out a harsh cough, followed by a series of *hrmms* and *humms* that if you didn't know better, would believe was a stifled laugh.

But… Frigimon wouldn't laugh at another digimon's misfortune.

The icy caretaker finishes up her little fit, then sit up in her chair with a loud clap.

"Thanks for the stories sweeties, they'll be a big help!" Her cheery words send a surge of warmth through your core, a… very nice, happy feeling. It's almost as if you're brought back tot the past. "But I have an important question to ask dearie, do you like her?"

Like… Imperius Angewomon?

"Aye?" You reply hesitantly. "I… don't fully understand your meaning ma'am. She was my leader and comrade… if difficult to interact with at times. We fought beside each other on a number of occasions… are you asking if she's somehow my enemy now?"

"Not at all Verge. I meant… tee-hee, something else." She giggles, writing down another line on her notepaper. "Hrm, just friends then."

"That is correct… hold. *just* friends?" Your head tilts in confusion. "What else could we be?"

"Oh that's… well nevermind that sweetie." She replies, ending the line of conversation. "I need a different male lead to pair her with is all."

Come... again?

"Male, lead. I understand the words, yet together…"

"Oh-um." Frigimon stiffens, and looks through the window at you in panic. "You... heard that sweetie?"

"Aye. Was I… not supposed to? I admit, my curiosity over the term has been piqued."

"Well…" The caretaker whirls around her office as if looking for an explanation, but after a few seconds sighs and lowers her head in embarrassment. "It mean… a womon's partner in romance."

Then...these talks were about… romance? How? Why? I...

"I admit to not understanding the situation. But I would still like to provide assistance, if I can."

"That's so kind of you Verge." Frigimon replies, clasping her mitts together. "Of course I'll welcome your help."

"Very well, how exactly may I... provide assistance?"

"Well… with you-I mean, Ser Brink, but he's out of the running."

Ser, Brink. Why does that sound so famil… moving on.

"I could try her stern superior officer… but that might turn things into a tragedy at the end. Which some demographics like." Frigimon explains, slipping again into her more *technical* manner of speaking. "The charming pirate captain is an option, but would require significant plot and course restructuring to allow for more characterization and a proper pairing. Erstwhile the last option being the roguish wizard may work, but only if the novel's protagonist is capable of forcing him into monogamy."

… moving on. Moving on. Moving on.

"Lord in heaven! Zis-this is such a difficult choice… what do you think sweetie."

"I… er…"

===AN: Pick One

[] The Tragedy?... it would be most similar to reality, and how it works. It's rare that the server has *happy* endings.

[] The *Pirate Captain* you're confident in her ability to… *restructure* her story. In fact it would probably be a good idea. For… reasons you can't quite comprehend.

[] Something about the *Roguish* wizard sounds… funny? Mayhaps she should choose that option.

===AN: Yes, these suggestions are each based off characters that appeared in Inheritance. Yes, Verge is trying not to put much thought in it since it's making him uncomfortable.

Verg I like you pessimism.

Is this that character in her other book? The one that saved Sparks ass.

Verg either deal with those feelings or crush them entirely.

So the talk of romance has got me wondering if we can move Verg off Ardat route and all others at this point. Also looking forward to Sparks reaping what he has sown.

Frigmon is already sad :( writing this stuff gives her joy. Writing a spicy pirate romance sounds a lot better then an angel losing her love and him dying.

Fuck it, time to counter-troll Sparks! Accidentally but it still counts!

I cannot decide between cynicism and piracy.
Flip a coin then if you've manged to get it down to two choices.

The option is there so she won't mind it. If this was a write in then I'd be more against it.

Do we count Verg choosing to ignoring him when he messes up as counter trolling? Cause if so then he does it quite a bit.

Ehhh the sparks option feels gross tbh, sparks whole flirtatious harem personality always leaves me feeling a bit iffy.

Choosing the route wizard is less trolling sparks here and more making angewoman from badass female brash leader with a wild side to just another one of his conquest , and then it also puts her in the "rival" position against fish queen , cake girl, and whoever else sparks picks up.

If romance is the main goal for frigimon here and one of the main ships is the angewoman I think it looks better for tragic route or spicy pirate OC story route

... I'll note that Frigimon's works aren't warping reality or anything like that. She writes "Humon" characters in the "Humon" world. All similarities are totally coincidental, and not all her novellas share the same universe.

i.e. This is a trashy romance novel with allusion to "reality" and based loosely off Verge's descriptions of his allies.

Here ya go Sparks. We got you a cameo.

"Frustration from a lack of progress is understandable. I suffered from that myself." You explain warmly, before settling into an utterly serious tone. "The training you're asking for will push you to the very brink physically, and mentally. Are you certain about trying it?"

"I…" He gulps, then clenches his fists in determination. "Yes. What do I have to do sensei? Fight you?"

"That would accomplish little at your current level." The flat dismissal makes him flinch, but ignore it and continue onwards. "I've already considered this possibility and will model your training after… the regimen another mon put me through."

"Oh no." *Boy* whispers, his eyes widening in horror. "You're going to make me train like… uh, you."
Really love the moment where his hotblooded shonen answer crashes into his common sense catching up from behind to realize what he just agreed to. :D
