I don't know about the others, but for me I just don't think it's a good Idea to draw attention by screaming on a Battle field. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if an enemy heard what we'd said.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm voting for this mostly because I was reminded of @RomanceNinja's top tier shitpost. That and if anything happened to our precious cinnamon bun, I would kill everyone in this thread and then myself.

As someone noted before the fight against that Alruamon was something Verge could have potentially lost. If he wasn't as experienced, if his skill was lower and if he wasn't boosted by a ton of stat points it was a fight he really would not have been able to come out on top in. Wouldn't have exactly led to a bad end, but it still would have been rather unpleasant.

Maybe, though I would think that Fu would be willing to help the babies over fighting if asked. As it both feeds in making sure she does something really important and allows her to be a leader too. Two things that she would enjoy doing.

Edit: Soemthing else to remember is that because of the Sorcerymon studying decision Verge slept in. Normally he wakes up much earlier.

so guys am back from work and thought about our situation quite a bit
Established Facts so far
1. our opponents went for the overkill here, I mean at least 4 champions vs. a group of rookies, no kidding, somebody wants us dead
2. Gramps, Sparks and Flamemon, all our notable fighters were in combat when we woke up,
What does this mean for us, well obviously it means that our chances for winning this are not very good and even if we would a victory here would probably leave us to injured to escape before our enemies come back even stronger
So what should we do?
Obviously here is the answer the flee
Now since we have established the easy part lets move to the meat of the topic
How do we flee without giving up on anybody or losing the majority of our community?
Easy, by going onto the offense,
Confusing right, but let me explain
1. Flamemon is engaged with his Light counter part and is currently injured where is opponent is not
2. Gramps is currently in a fight wit 3 Bakemon and has no skill to harm them,
3. Sparks is currently on the way to get his mech and has proven stealthy in the past, despite being a fucking ball of fire at that time
So our options
1. Helping Gramps, clearly out, since we lack the skills to harm Bakemon
2. Helping Sparks, possible, but to what end ? I mean we know there is at least one Devimon still out there, the Bakemon appear to be immune to physical and lighting damage, while our mech is still damaged from the last fight and these are just our known factors
3. Getting Lunamon and Tresh to safety, possible but would most likely mean to abandon everybody else, due to Verges personality and the fact that neither have combat experience which means that they would need somebody to protect them while they flee
4. Help Flamemon, clearly out, we are Statwise to weak to even support him during the Fight
So I give to option 5

As he should be at a high enough in his stats considering his age, he would have the drive for such considering the set up and it would fit his theme. The only thing that is nagging me is if he will do it before Gramps is taken out or not.

But you are wrong about one thing. Gramps absolutely CAN hurt and even delete the three Bakemon. He's just been out on the back foot since there's ya know three of them attacking at once.
Beyond that Verge has a satchel not a backpack. Plus Verge doesn't know where the other baby digimon (or Auger for that matter) are. Trying to convince Sparks to not fighting might be difficult considering who's been raising him.
Edit: Verge could theoretically hurt the Bakemon if he got his claws on them.

True, but if it did happen it would at least help buy us some more time and possibly allow us to save more of our village. As more champs wouldn't be a bad thing here.
Heck, now that I think about it, this might be where we evolve too. As we are in theory strong enough for such and could easily be put in a position were I could see it happening here too.

Consider his and Flamemons limited definition of heroism. I.e. beat the *villains* and save the others by beating said villains...
Verge would need a decent write in to convince Sparks to turn away from his mech (which provides a shit ton of power and defense) and right now the PC isn't exactly in the best place to give a speech.
