The two forms while similar are not the exact same. And while Verge noticed the similarities (and was having a bit of a mental breakdown over her and Thresh over it) that got cut off by seeing MetalTyrannomon. Verge has a fantasy that his siblings are locked up, and definitely not out serving Count.
Stay strong Verge, that spark of hope you dream about can yet be near.

Also, check out the pictures wrist. See anything familiar?
Well that just makes it plain we need to have our head clear then, as if we can spot that IC we could clear up a lot of stuff.

The last time Yggy's influence acted like this was when we met MAGNAMON. I think our little brother has been eating his root vegetables...
....Or the RK forms and powerful mon of their lines resonate with Yggdrasil because of how tied together they are. Also we have zero proof that either mon have encountered Yggy outside of the super vague familiar feeling thing that I addressed in the start of this.

One thing to consider.

Our lost family might get their own flashes of recognition if they hear the names "Verge" and "Sparks" calling out to each other.

So, sudden Gloaming interrupt. I don't think any of us expected that. Question is, was this just a target of opportunity or something more?

Oddly enough, GranLocomon isn't present for some reason.
You called him GrandLocomon in an earlier sentence.
An hour later, the entire army begins it's final march north, ready to put an end to the war.
Its not it's.
Just like how the formerly prevelant storms of wind have drawn to a sudden halt.
Prevalent.
What looks almost like a living shadow fall over the land as your numerically superior foe soars forward.
Foes not foe, for how could a singular enemy be numerically superior.
you decidedly mvoe your gaze away to focus on the wings... of which there are two sets

Cherub HolyAngemon roars, drawing his sword from it's sheath
Its again. Its is possessive while it's is the shortened form of it is.
A few moments later, thousands of digimon meet in the air, talons clashing against blade and rod and are followed by scrams as hundreds of attacks land
Screams.

So... this subvote makes no sense to me.

Why do y'all think Sparks is MAKING this offer? Because we're family, and to support us.

Its the equivalent of saying "Dont support me because we're family and family supports eachother"

:???:

Saying that we appreciate the offer but don't want him to do that for us would be way more accurate.

[X] Accept

Because fuck it, he wants to be the batman to our superman I can appreciate the sentiment.

You lumber towards the opening ready to stem the tide, but are met with a wave of sound.

"Howling!"

The air in your chest throbs, gorging itself not only on a thread of wrath, but traces of an unfamiliar yet instinctive power.

Howling!

Your roar hits all three of the airborne digimon as a literal physical force, rocking each flyer back and making them flinch.
So that's what this was, Verge using Growlmon's move.

Growmon - Wikimon - The #1 Digimon wiki

I wonder if this means Verge can use Growlmon's attacks with Verge using Growlmon's Blade attacks with his claws and gaining the ability to breathe fire, also if this unlocked digivolution options.

--[X] Frame Reinforce, BlackGrowlmon hits HARD, if they can damage your gauntlets, you're going to need the added defense.
--[X] BlackGrowlmon's spiky configuration and ability to damage chrome digizoid makes exchanging blows and damage or grappling difficult. Aim to get an opening to Uppercut and stun, then Hammer Rush to keep them continuously off balance.

3rd Of Wind: Battle Between Brothers
[] Refuse
[] Martial Desire

Alternative:

===

A myriad of tumultuous feelings rip through your core: doubt, confusion, sadness, pain. Dealing with everything at once is simply not possible.

So you turn it into fuel, letting everything be consumed by Wrath and a naked Desire for battle. Devotion and his Will struggle against the raging flame, turning the rampant urge to destroy into something usable. Your mind rejects everything but the BlackGrowlmon, sharpens focus down into a razor's edge. The choice is made. You take a stance, dive into sin and grin towards the Worthy Opponent.

Counts servant makes the first move, springing forward with a practiced grace that belies his enormous size. BlackGrowlmon covers the last meters with a roar of "Growl Claw!" and thrusts his metal-tipped claws straight towards your sternum. You sweep his left arm away with a fore-paw, expecting to knock the taller mon off balance. Only to be surprised when he turns into the deflection and spins, sending his other arm's blade streaking towards your chest. The metal-coated blade smashes against your other war-gauntlet and glances off.

However your foe's body only spins all the faster.

This momentum, he's-

"Dragon Spine!" A red and black blur slams into your mid-section with enough force to lift your rear-paws off the ground and launches you half a dozen meters back across the pockmarked earth. Your body reels with the impact, ribs cracking while a noticeable indent appears on your chest. But you embrace it and catch yourself, raising your guard just in time to catch his next move. "Exhaust Flame!" A stream of pitch-black fire washes over your crossed arms, stripping away the thick fur and burning down to the very bones themselves.

The opponent stares up at your from all fours, his arms sunk wrist-deep into the earth at the end of a quarter-circle he'd carved to stop his momentum.

Skilled. A combination to break my defenses followed up by something to occupy me while he recovers... Perfect.

"Zehahaha! That's it! Come at me!"

"Gigigi, gladly!"
He darts forward in an explosion of rock and lifts one arm high as if wanting to repeat his prior performance. You ready a counter for the strike-only to blink as he suddenly lunges low. "Dark Blade!" Sinister energy wraps around the grey metal of his right arm as it lashes out towards your hip. With instincts screaming "Danger!" you drop down and punch at the technique smashing all three golden spikes against the hazard-empowered move. Victory flashes across your features as the move grinds to a halt and you step around to reply with an attack of your own. It's the only thing that saves you.

BlackGrowlmon twists, his feet digging into the ground, as he swings around into a rising uppercut with the opposite arm. "Dragon Slash!" His claw rend directly through your side, sheering through fur, muscle and even bone before finally ripping free. Data explodes from your new wound along with terrible agony, but in the end it all adds to your own momentum.

"Atamageshi!"
Your left arm sweeps low, smashing into the Demon-Dragons legs and knocking him off his feet. "Crescent!-" Your right arm follows suite, aiming to take the Worthy Opponents head.

This is the end.

"-Dawn!"

Your gauntlet strikes... empty air. For a moment you freeze, watching in stunned silence as the enemy cartwheels away.

What the-that's!... Spirits above that's ridiculous!

Despite the urge to call him out on the impossibility of what just occurred, you find yourself grinning in excitement. Despite the injuries this is undeniably fun. With your faculties back to the near-norm it become apparent that you'd yet to use one of your most potent abilities. High Programming.

Healing first. And... I cannot let him keep the initiative, I already bear two wounds from it, which reminds me... I cannot trade blows. The risk is too great.

This time you charge after the recovering champion, lumbering across the battlefield and bowling aside several small unworthy figures. Just as expected the black dinosaur lunges forward a third time.

He's taller, more agile and undeniably better. But you have one thing firmly on your side. Weight. Every step tears the ground asunder, showering those around you with hails of stone.

Your claws soar towards each other, shining silver against dull grey. And in the end it's his arm that is blown backwards. He spins around with the momentum again, but this time you're following through. Before his opposite arm can land a hit, your blades hit home, wrenching three gaping wounds across his side. The Demon-Dragon topples backward, the follow-up missing you in its entirety. The hazard dragon pivots on one foot, and hops back, but you refuse to let him just regain distance.

Uppercut!

A short, brutal punch races up towards his massive chin. Your spikes puncture through his flesh, but more importantly the force knocks him up into the air. Intent on finishing this, your other arm moves back for a killing blow meant to impact as he touches back down. Only, instead of falling your opponent bends back, turning the momentum into a flip. The enormous champion's tail snaps out, impacting against your chest for a second time. But at least this time it lacks the force needed to send you flying.

BlackGrowlmon lands in a backhandspring, pushes off and then unleashes a second blast of fire before his feet have met the ground. You roll away from the black torrent barely avoiding another injury and come up into another stare off.

A second passes, only interrupted by the sound of your chanting. He nods, smiling with genuine happiness and unabashed bloodlust. The gesture is returned. You bring both paws together, readying for a different type of counter-tactic. Two Tailmon leaps at your enemy's back, only to be swatted away by an errant flick of his tail.

Once more.

The last lines of your healing spell finish, creating a wave of healing energy that closes your wound.

Blackgrowlmon goes utterly still, his pupils narrowing to feral points of pure fury.

His body explodes into motion, all finesse lost as he rockets towards you with an air-shaking howl.

Awesome our Bros a fight nut like us! Also the singular thing I will ever thank Count for is making him such a badass.

....Also wtf did those Gatomon do?!

I don't think they did it.

It was Verge using the healing spell that set him off. He's probably assuming we looted Verge's spellbook and flipped his shit. Because he's likely 100% convinced we're dead.
