But most threateningly, the womon's talons dissolve, the flesh underneath reforming into distinctly humanoid fingers even as the metal swirls around into a rapier.

The cool thing about this is that Verge could now steal her Storm Gazer move like he did with Gilgamesh Slicer.

Think about how humiliating it'll be for Repulsa?

He's not just dismantling her... he's going to lay it flat out to the world that faith her as a legendary warrior was entirely misplaced.
People are actually going to think that Verge flat out hates the Sefirot at this point. Which is funny considering I think he still vaguely professes faith in them, and Sparks was pretty faithful in his own way the last time it came up.

Unless the spirits suddenly improve Repulsa's attitude I think the way she'll act when hitting Mega is going to be almost as damaging as her lossing to an ult would to the temples rep.

It's still not going to be an easy fight. Even with Wrath Mode, Repulsa's Speed now more than doubles Verge's and she is now strong enough to actually hurt him.

Wonder how this will impact Warrior 10 Worshiper internal politics.

Oh I just realized when Verge topped Repusla's Gil Slicer?

He did it one handed... she was using both.

yeah now it's going to be an actual fight.

we are showing our wrath trumpcard here but it is worth it and it's hard to sense the actual power increase in another dimension

So I don't get The Plan. What exactly (besides Pride) is keeping Repulsa from forfeiting should she determine that she can't beat Verge even as a Mega?
She doesn't have power sensing and if she attacks him after already having been disqualified he's free to do as he will.

The plan counts on her being arrogant enough not to realize the fact until after she's started fighting as a mega and at that point giving up won't save her.

Honestly at this point the biggest threat to it is sudden character development.

even then she only evolved in the middle of combat there's no way she has enough self control not to. not with the shear threat verge is pumping out

The fact that's already been disqualified by the act of hitting Mega. In normal circumstance, the match would be stopped for the non-mega's protection. She literally can't forfeit anymore.

And now she's stuck in Malkimon's pocket dimension. A mon who wants Verge to get his revenge.

So, i guess this means that the transmissions to the outside of the dimensional pocket have been cut of, giving the impression to all that the match has been ended and Repulsa disqualified?

So Schwartz even though he lost beast 2 strong mon to get in on top of being able to humiliate the 'winner' of his round, Thresh oneshot his foe, and Verge keeps fighting mega tier enemies.

Bulwark be giving a heck of a show of stronk here.

and even if astamon wanted to complain she attacked him first

this is clearly self defense

So yeah, she beats us by a good margin compared too last time.

But it's mostly in one stat, and the fact is since she has lower endurance and fortitude, I think we could outlast her and wait till she tires herself out trying to harm us.

We are also much more skilled in combat, and as our Karatenmon technique proved, we have skills that can give easily us an edge over pure speed.

So while we are at a disadvantage, I think Verge can pull a win.

Yeah, basically, she's got a scary stat block, but if she takes even a single clean hit from Verge in his current state, she's probably not recovering.

God, is Verge going to kill her with Drill Spin? Just to really drive the Magnitude of her Fuckup home?

I wonder if a religion for Verge will start up after this.

Watching your Goddess be knocked down a peg or 25 makes you want to convert :V
Not until Verge Digivolves into Baihumon I'd imagine, before that point he'll just be seen as a very strong heretic to the Sephirot religion.

Which is rather ironic seeing as Verge more less adheres to said religion lol.

If verge does go baihumon I can see the religious types doing a complete 180 and just considering all the enemies verge made to be heretics/ unworthy and that's why he obviously wiped them out to replace them with worthy ones

So are the two techniques gonna get added to the character sheet?

Also it seems I am the opposite of everyone here about this event and do not enjoy it one bit so far.

I don't think that's quite how religious belief works my guy. Some might convert because of his power or cause Verg aided them but ultimately I think a lot more are gonna just consider Verg the heretic/a rival god.
