Thinking on the matter of mega stuff. Did the count lose some of his potential for his reincarnation as he died as a ultimate x anti body who in his own words squandered his potential?
Unrelated but I wonder who's gonna be madder If Verg manages to win this tournament Repusla, Sinduramon or Dinknightmon. I wanna say Sinduramon because he just seems to be annoyed at everything that exists.
Dinoknightmon doesn't hate Verge anymore, he's more or less moved on since he has realised in spite of helping kill his Master, Verge isn't a bad person.
Its sparks he hate. And honestly Sinduramon since he genuinely hates Verge. Repulsa is more afraid at this point

He likely lost some yes, he was on the way to hitting Murmukismon but having to use the X-Antibody as an in combat booster cut that short. However having said that, he will reincarnate now as a natural X carrier which likely boosts his potential. So it might even out, or he might have only lost some potential as opposed to a lot.

Does the X anti body carry over with reincarnation?
On that topic I wonder what does carry over. Will Verg's desire corruption also carry over to a possible next life? What of Sparks and the metal spirit, does him digivolving with it in the way he has permanently fuse them or is he gonna drop it should he perish?
I am wondering how close Sparks is to mega now. State wise he seems strong enough, has multiple high programming skills and is working on the will thing.
Sparks is really close, especially after that last fight. However he ironically, doesn't want to evolve for some time. His most likely evo ATM is Piedmon and… yeah, Sparks has other plans.
He wants to leverage things for a certain Mega, and evovle with the maximum possible amount of power.

So does he have a way to stave off mega digivolvtion or is he just hoping that he doesn't accidentally start the process so he can get the maximum amount of power?

Once you've finished laughing, Sparks stores the Andromon head and the two of you had back into city limits. Quite fortunately the Wisemon's shenanigans don't interrupt your schedule. Thus your afternoon is spent slid down to Gryzmon and sparring with Warren. Something Xia also ends up joining halfway through as a Lavorvomon, which is quite amusing.
As the evening approaches you meet up with Schwartz and *Boy* (in Aegiomon form) in the Bulwark booth. Thresh to your surprise makes an appearance in Drop and Fonte's viewing booth, as a Growlmon.
… you're not sure how to feel about the two of them sitting on his head and shoulders. Deimos, Xia and even Schwartz seem to think it's quite humorous though.

"And for our first contestant! We have a real ornery performer for you uh-huh!"
MetalEtemon starts off the introductions with his usual showmonship, drawing in the crowd's attention with his flare.
"An infamous defender of The Ghastly Zone! Known for tearing invading forces apart wholesale! Fighting here today for the Gloaming! The Little Terror, MameTyrannomon!"
Mame… Tyrannomon?
You blink in surprise as what looks like a Rookie dashes out from the eastern arena gate, his claws deliberately down and scraping across the ground. The orange-scaled and very… round digimon doesn't appear threatening at first glance. Between his size and the oversized helmet covering most of his body he almost seems… what Ardat might describe as *cute*.
The same thing cannot be prescribed to said Gloaming soldier's mannerisms. His blue eyes scan out independent of each other, each unblinking and full of malicious interest.
"*Click* *Click* *Click*."
And… is he tapping his teeth together? Why?
However the Pixiemon-sized Ultimate does boast an impressive strength according to your senses. Which combined with his size must make the concentrated power he wields… quite potent indeed.
"Dude's creepy." Schwartz notes the obvious with a light nod. "This should be neat to watch."
"Xia doesn't like that one." Your ward shivers, huddling up against your leg. "He's scary."
"Yeah… I wouldn't want to fight him-I mean right now sensei! Not that I'm scared but-you-I umm, mean-" Fortunately MetalEtemon speaks up again before your student can embarrass himself further.
"And his opponent! A Blade Wielding Wolf Of Justice! Deemed as Protector Of The Sephirot by Ancients City! The one, the only! Legendary Warrior Of Light Garummon!"
Hold, is that…
You stare as the brightly armored Wolf digimon strides out, shocked at his introduction. The last time you'd seen Wolfmon he'd been working for the Gloaming as a mercenary!
… while wielding two *swords* with high skill. Huh, quite similar to Grademon now that I think about it.
Strange past similarities aside, evolution has very clearly changed him. Aside from the obvious shift from bipedal humanoid to fully bestial quadruped, he's apparently joined the Sephirot religion as some sort of important figure.
He'd matched you as a Champion, and if not for the intervention of an outside force would have won your fight. And while he's still incredibly strong for an Ultimate, far surpassing the likes of Repulsa or Blizzardmon…
I've grown beyond him.
It's a sobering thought, the realization that your own drive for power has taken away the potential for a good fight. That's swiftly followed up by the notion of finding a way to suppress your strength in order to *only* match your old rival. Using Bulwark equipment for that purpose, artificial restriction rather than natural control feels… distasteful.
Mayhaps something to learn after my current training has reached its conclusion.
Down below, Garummon lets out a sharp growl and glares at the tiny dinosaur digimon.
"I can smell the stench of murder on you. How many innocent lives have those claws taken?" Instead of answering the question, MameTyrannomon scrapes his claws together, and curiously stares through the Legendary Warrior.
"I wonder what your insides look like." He murmurs softly, before clicking his teeth again.
Both your student and Ward shiver at that, while Schwartz nods to himself as if the question was interesting.
I fail to see his interest-no wait. Is he curious whether Garummon is machine digimon, cyborg or biological species? Then that would make sense…
A few moments later the arena shifts, plopping both of them off in the midst of a thick jungle.
Garummon immediately goes on the offensive, pouncing forward and bringing his massive foreclaws down… through a patch of smoke. MameTyrannomon just… isn't there anymore.
Immediately your mind turns back towards DeathMeramon and his ability to turn intangible. However after a moment it becomes clear that the tiny digimon had *merely* dodged while unleashing an enormous cloud of smog from his mouth.
After a moment the Legendary Warrior finds MameTyrannomon and pounces again, effortlessly breaking apart several tree trunks in the process. The Gloaming representative avoids it again, scurrying out of the way while releasing more and more smoke.
"Is-is he scared?" Your student questions dubiously. "Or…"
He's not running away out of fear.
Within seconds the immediate area has been filled up by a thick, cloying miasma, effectively hiding the dinosaur from sight. And as Garummon continues wildly attacking, he ends up finding nothing more than a hole in the jungle floor.
"Oh! He can dig, he can dig!"
"Solar Laser!" The Wolf digimon is quick to try and take advantage of the situation by unleashing a deadly beam of light into the burrow. However, aside from some dirt flying into the smog-ridden air, there's no response.
Not until a living whirlwind of claws and teeth leaps out from the fog behind him.
MameTyrannomon rips into the wolf digimon's armor with vicious glee, biting and clawing at the metal with a malicious glee. And as Garummon, whirls about with a growl… MameTyrannomon vanishes back into the smoke.
For the next few minutes you observe nothing less than a series of cruel, one sided ambushes. MameTyrannomon is at home in the smoke blanketed foliage, and seems to appear wherever Garummon least expects it. And after dealing an injury to his opponent, fades back into the surroundings.
The stubborn light digimon stubbornly hangs on, attacking back blindly and blasting the surrounding area. However… no matter how hard he tries, the Ultimate's claws never land a single hit and the smoke never clears. If anything it gets even thicker as time passes.
How boring.
"Huh, wonder if I could like, manage something similar." Schwartz muses, entertained by the match. You on the other hand are… even more disappointed. This isn't the sort of fight you were hoping to see in a tournament. And if this continues, the match can only end one way.
With his armor breached in over a dozen different places, the stubborn wolf digimon finally relents and changes his strategy. Taking to the air in a bid to avoid the small, but deadly claws and bites.
And in doing so, the cyborg leaves his back open.
"Slash Nail!" MameTyrannomon pounces onto his back, landing just between the neck and rending the armor apart with his claws.
Gasps and cheers rise from the crowd as it looks like the match is about to end. *Boy* looks away, Xia closes her eyes. Schwartz lets out a disappointed snort.
That was a mistake.
"Light Torpedo!"The Legendary Warrior's body comes to life with a cloak of bright, mauve power, burning the Virus digimon even as they both rocket up into the air.
MameTyrannon falls away with a short growl of pain, and immediately tries diving back down to his cover.
"You're not getting away from me monster! Speed Star!" And Garummon immediately comes back around in a flash, blades extended to catch the pintsized Ultimate and drive him even further up.
The light digimon continues to speed up with every moment, bounding and flying through the air as a blur and attacking with a relentless fury. The airborne dinosaur tries to block his golden blades, but still ends up being worn down by the holy energy. And to make matters worse, his claws are being chipped away with every clash.
Their positions have reversed, now he's being ripped apart bit by bit.
So in a bid of desperation, MameTyrannomon seizes his own helmet-
"Met Lariat!" -and brings it into Garummon's path.
"Blade Windmill!" The Legendary Warrior meets it with deadly spin, bringing his blades and claws to bear against the *weapon*.
*Clang*
And as a result, the helmet is knocked free from his claws.
Garummon's mouth takes a mauve glow.
"Solar-"
And MameTyrannomon's eyes go wide, his helmet-free body brightly illuminated.
"Laser!" Before the holy beam washes over his body.
===AN: Not a fight I had the most interest in, however I hope I did my due diligence here. Next up for tonight, a Pit Omake.

the combo of tactical movement distractions and pure viciousness is actually quite formidable to those without spirit sense.
garummon's little ploy was .... simple but well executed.
but the fact he didn't relocate or just blast away the smoke is ... disappointing . same with the fact that MameTyrannomon hasn't even mastered void step to handle mid air combat.
well this was the mook match so we shouldn't expect much from it

Yup Mercenary Lobomon went through a change of heart when evolving to Garummon and I'm guessing the culprit is this line in its profile "As the possessor of a righteous heart becoming the name of Garmr, who fights with the war god Týr at Ragnarök in Norse mythology, its feelings of hatred for evil are stronger than that of others."
He went from neutral to Hero in one span of an evolution.
If nothing else this really does prove that some forms innate morality can overpower that of whatever mon evolved into it. Which is kind of concerning considering Mega-evolution pretty much sticks your data like that with little chance of change.

How much of a boost would Verg get if he were to load MameTyrannomon? Now that talents are no longer an issue we can load without feeling like we're missing out and he seems to be the first combatant so far who Verg would have no qualms about loading.
