London

Known Heroes and Heroic Organisations
The first costumed vigilante in both the British Isles and London, the Night appeared in early 1916. Primarily focused on fighting the Consortium and stopping the criminal empire taking advantage of the then ongoing war, the Night also focused on regular crimes and the criminals of London soon learnt to fear his presence. He vanished in mid 1919 without a trace while investigating the politician Barnaby May-Porter and his ties to the Consortium leadership.

His secret identity is Benedict Wallis, grandson of the wealthy retired politician Gareth Wallis.
The youthful squire of the Fairy Knight and aspiring heroine, Sapphire Squire relies on a mixture of physical skill, mental ability and technological gadgets. A genius and prodigy, Sapphire Squire holds her own on the streets of London and has proven herself worthy of fighting alongside her mentor. Since 25th December 1920, Sapphire Squire has gained two magical abilities from her mentor, one which allows her to change her outfit at will and provide her clothing with protective properties while the other removes her needs for sleep, food and drink.
The second squire of Fairy Knight, Onyx Squire comes from a criminal background and seeks to help the world rather than hurt it like the rest of his family. Relying mainly on his fists and hardiness, Onyx Squire has picked some equipment and magic from Fairy Knight and Sapphire Squire, the most exotic of these being his partial invisibility and complete silence.

His secret identity is David White, son of the street thug Jacob White.
Jordan Brown is a chief inspector within the Metropolitan Police. A determined man who believes in stopping criminals and protecting the innocent, Chief Inspector Brown is willingly to bend the law a little if it means seeing proper justice done.

Following his systematic dismantlement of the Dragonsteeth, Jordan Brown was promoted from Detective Sergeant to Detective Inspector. Following the arrest of the Templar, Jordan Brown has formed a formal covert partnership with the Fairy Knight.

As of 1st March 1921, Jordan Brown has been promoted to Chief Inspector from Detective Inspector under a cloud of politics, high tenses and borderline infighting amongst the Metropolitan Police.
Gareth Wallis is a wealthy man and a retired politician who has known great tragedy. The ageing man has outlived all of his family and currently lives alone in London with his butler. He was aware of his grandson's activities as the Night and covertly funded his crusade. As of January 1920, he supports and funds Fairy Knight's continuation of the Night's crusade.

Known Villains and Villainous Organisations
While some call him a hero, the Golden Knight is definitely a criminal. Appearing in 1919, the Golden Knight and his Golden Order are returning veterans of the Great War. While they fight the Consortium and claim to see justice for the people, many of the Golden Order's activities are regular organised crime and in some ways, the Golden Knight is just another crime lord who dressed up as a costumed vigilante.

On 9th February 1920, the Golden Order captured Sam Carson of the White Devils and hold him captive.
On 24th April 1920, the Golden Knight aided Fairy Knight at Anna Lucas' party.
The White Devils are a London street gang that was led by Sam Carson and backed by the Consortium. A male dominated gang that believes in the supremacy of the white Englishman, the White Devils seek to purge London of its 'foreign filth'. Covertly supported by the Consortium, the White Devils rose to prominence falling the Night's disappearance and seek to 'clean out' Whitechapel so they can turn it into their territory and use the neighbourhood as a base of operations.

On 9th February 1920, Sam Carson was defeated by Fairy Knight before being captured by the Golden Order. Following the loss of their leader, the White Devils have fallen into infighting and got systemically picked off by their foes. As of mid 1920, the gang no longer exists.

As of 25th February, Sam Carson was freed from the captivity of the Golden Order by Redcoat, presumably on the orders of the Consortium.
The Dragonsteeth were a major street gang that was founded and led by Anna Lucas. Covertly backed by the Consortium, the Dragonsteeth held a position of prominence within the London criminal underworld and the gang held great influence over several small gangs.

On 24th April 1920, Anna Lucas was defeated by Fairy Knight and later arrested by the police alongside several of her subordinates.

Between late April 1920 and early August 1920, Detective Sergeant Jordan Brown systematically dismantled the gang. He did so by arresting and putting in prison most of their leadership and membership, shutting down all of their major operations and most of their minor ones and he ruined their reputation.

As of September 1920, Cliff Gregory currently leads what is left of the Dragonsteeth with the gang having gone to ground as a remnant of their former glory.

As of April 1921, the Dragonsteeth are no more after being consumed by rivals in the gang war following the downfall of the Royal Ravens.
Levy Porter was the chief enforcer of the Dragonsteeth, a feared man for his deadly prowess. He was arrested by Detective Sergeant Jordan Brown on the 24th April 1920 after being defeated by Fairy Knight and was later sent to prison.
Levy Porter was a sub-boss of the Dragonsteeth and their main accountant. An experienced elderly man, he managed most of the gang's finances and briefly took over half of it following Anna Lucas' arrest.

He was arrested by Detective Sergeant Jordan Brown during early June 1920 and was later sent to prison.
Cliff Gregory is the current leader of what remains of the Dragonsteeth. An ambitious and dangerous man, he leads what is left of the gang after avoiding being arrested by Detective Brown.

As for 25th February 1921, Cliff Gregory is attempting to return the gang to prominence and has broken its prior ties with the Consortium.

As of April 1921, the Dragonsteeth are no more after being consumed by rivals in the gang war following the downfall of the Royal Ravens. The current fate of Cliff Gregory is unknown.
The Consortium is the top dog within the criminal underworld of London with its leadership remaining unknown to outsiders and most within the Consortium. Whilst it has sway across most of the British Isles, the Consortium is located in London where it holds the most of its power and influence.

Despite enjoying a good couple of decades of effectively uncontested dominance, the Consortium has founded itself increasing under attack in recent years with its most prominent foes being the Night, the Golden Order and Fairy Knight.
An middle-manager within the Consortium who is responsible with coordinating with outside assets. He was Windstrike's liaison when the Consortium hired her to kill Fairy Knight in March 1920.
Known as Ronald Barr in his civilian identity, the Templar is a fearsome warrior who dresses up in plate armour, styling himself after a medieval knight. Wielding his imposing war hammer, the Fist of God, the Templar is one of the most dangerous individuals on London's streets with very few capable of matching him. Having retired from the army after a decade of service at the end of the Great War, Ronald seemingly works for an Anglican organisation that seeks to purge London's streets of heretics and infidels.

He was arrested on the 18th September 1920 after being defeated by the Fairy Knight, but avoided going to prison due to destruction of evidence during his trial.
Peter Michaelson was the leader of the Royal Ravens and a member of the Consortium. The Royal Ravens were the top gang in London and the Consortium used them as a proxy to control the streets of London. Following a rash attack on the Brown family in February 1921, the full force of the Scotland Yard came down on the Royal Ravens and as of April 1921, the gang has been systemically destroyed one way or another and is effectively no more.
Allen Baxter as the chief enforcer of the Royal Ravens.

On 16th February 1921, Allen Baxter was accidentally slain by Fairy Knight in battle.
25th February 1921, the Regal Ravens split off from the Royal Ravens.

Barnaby May-Porter is a prominent and respected politician who has ambitions of being Prime Minister. The Night disappeared uncovering evidence financially connecting Barnaby to the Consortium's leadership.
Also known as Tedd Donald, the Squirrel is a talent and agile thief who steals from the rich as a challenge. After being caught by Fairy Knight on 10th August 1920, he has given up his life of crime.
The wife of Jordan Brown and mother of Brenda Brown and James Brown. A formerly cheerful and supportive woman, she was almost killed on the 18th February 1921. While she survived thanks to Fairy Knight's intervention, her right hand has been maimed and Eira has fallen into a deep depression.

As of May 1921, Eira has fully recovered thanks to Moira Lyn and her magic.
The son of Jordan and Eira Brown and the younger brother of Brenda Brown. James Brown was a shy kid who witness his mother almost being killed in their own home on the 18th February 1921 alongside receiving injuries of his own. While he and his mother were saved by the Fairy Knight, the fallout has left him spooked and jumping at shadows.

As of May 1921, James has fully recovered thanks to Moira Lyn and her magic.

While he is based in Winchester, Galahad operates in all of Hampshire.
The partner of Galahad and student of Merlin, Sentinel is a genius who creates devices and invents technology beyond what the rest of the world uses. His secret identity was revealed to be Oliver King, a soldier turned mercenary.
An upstart criminal group formed by some Irish folk up in Glasgow, they have seized control of the Glasgow criminal underworld from the Consortium and are battling the Consortium over Edinburgh's criminal underworld.
A villainous magic user, he has proven a capable spellcaster and a dangerous foe, especially if given time to prepare. He apparently works for an employer, but holds little loyalty to them and is willingly to further his own goals at their expense.

Kingdom of the Faeries

Known Heroes and Heroic Organisations
The King of the Faeries and former ruler of the Little Court of Ireland, Tiarnach is a stern, but fair ruler. A capable warrior and respected leader, he is a highly popular leader thanks to his own actions as King and his overthrowing of his aunt. He seeks to change the ways of his people and turn them into something more noble and less capricious.

While time flows differently in the Kingdom of the Faeries, it wa roughly 6th May 1921 that Tiarnach became king.

Known Villains and Villainous Organisations
Sister to the first Queen of the Faeries and temporary usurper, Princess Taenya is an ambitious and paranoid woman. While she was able to amass a loyal following that allowed to overthrow her sister, Taenya valued loyalty and subservience over competence and ability. She would later meet her downfall when her paranoia and tyrannical rulership resulted turning half of her realm against her, purges that left her supporters greatly reduced in number and putting the most loyal subordinates in charge rather than those that were qualified to do the job.

While time flows differently in the Kingdom of the Faeries, it was roughly 6th May 1921 that Prince Tiarnach overthrow Taenya and became king.
The son of Taenya, Prince Auraen made up what he lacked in competence with obedience. He was left in charge of defending the Little Court of Scotland when his mother was overthrown, resulting in his defeat at the hands of Tamara Lyn and her squire.

Known Civilians and Neutral Organisations
The mother of Tamara Lyn and many other important fairies, the Queen of the Faeries was a powerful and uncontested leader. Having rightfully earnt both fear and respect, the Queen of the Faeries was a whimsical and capricious ruler who did what she felt like at any given moment thanks to being powerful enough to get away with it.

At some point prior to start of 1920, she was overthrown by her sister Taenya and has not been seen from since.
The daughter of the Queen of Faeries, Princes Moira rules over the Little Court of England. While she is a decent ruler, Moira is more focused on magic and improving her magical abilities. She and her half-sister Tamara consider each other to be their favourite sibling.

As of May 1921, Princess Moira has taken up the human identity of Moira Lyn.
The son of Princess Taenya, Prince Zelphar ruled over the Little Court of Wales before being disposed alongside his mother.
The daughter of the Queen of Faeries, Princes Maeryn rules over the Little Court of Cornwall. While not a bad ruler, Princess Maeryn is more interested in socialising than running her realm. Maeryn likes to spend her time engaging in politics and the high life of society.

As of May 1921, Princess Maeryn has taken up the human identity of Maeve Lyn.

Toughness Check, DC32: 1+11 = 7, 5 DoF, Dying & -1 Toughness Penalty. Hero Point Reroll!
Well thank god for that re roll. I suppose when someone rolled that many natural 1's we shouldn't be surprised if they went down sooner than expected.
Changes to MM system make sense. People throwing each other across the street when they punch each other is a time honoured Superhero tradtition and its a shame that the game doesn't include knockback rules by default.

I have updated the timeline with information from the last couple of arcs. I'm hoping to get the update up this weekend, but social stuff isn't my strong point.

"I'm thinking of making this a full-time gig," says Onyx Squire as the two of your spar in the gym of the Nighthouse.

"Hmm?" you hum inquiringly, waiting for your squire to elaborate you block a punch from him.

Your second squire makes for a good sparring opponent in unarmed combat even if he is a bit better than you. David is better at landing harder hits than you and he can both dodge and take a hit better than you can. Though the latter goes out of the window once Torlyn is entered into the calculation.

"It took Saph pushing me on the matter, but I've come around to it," continues Onyx Squire before grunting as your fist impacts against the side of his forearm, "A lot to be honest."

"Sapphire Squire has a lot of good ideas," you agree, "What brought this one about?"

"She thinks I should ditch my family," answers David as he makes a jab for your head, "Says that they're bad for me. Can't say she is wrong, but it's hard you know? They might be horrible people, but family is family. Count your own blood and all that. Except dad a horrible person and Saph is right when she says that he isn't a proper father to me."

"I do not mean to be rude, but your father is a bad person and a poor father," you tell him as you look for an opening, "He has failed to raise you properly and mistreats his own offspring. You have turned out well in spite of him not because of him."

"I know," replies David glumly, "Saph has been beating that into my head. Metaphorically of course. Dad is the only one that she has actually beaten up...which she had done a couple of times. I guess realising that was the turning point for me in all this, realising that I wasn't on the same side as him and that Saph give more of a damn about me and well-being than he does."

"That she does," you agree, "What is the plan?"

"Dad has got himself roped into a protection racket," answers David, "Saph and I are going to bust it up and Saph says she is going to make sure that David gets arrested. That will take him out of the picture for some time, which gives me time to disappear from my old life with causing any fuss. I can move into my room in the Nighthouse and by the time Dad gets out, I will be long gone and out of his reach."

"What about the rest of your family?" you inquire.

"Saul has chosen to follow in father's footsteps," says David and you both see the unhappiness on his face and hear it in his voice, "I wish he hadn't, but he has chosen his side and it isn't mine. Mum...I'm going to miss her, but not that much. She cared for me, but not enough to take a stand against Dad or oppose him at all. She stood by and watched as he hurt me. I'm not sure if I can forgive her for that, not when she still stays with that monster."

"So you think that is for the best?" you ask him, mentally wondering how your squire's family situation compares to your own.

"It isn't good for anyone to stay with him, but they've made their choices and I've made-oh hey Saph," starts David before interrupting himself to greet Sapphire Squire as your other squire enters the gym.

"David telling you about his plans?" nominally asks Sapphire Squire, but you all know it is a statement rather than a question.

"Yes," you confirm, "I suppose it is for the best. You have more waiting for you in your new life than you have in your old life."

"Aye and honestly, I am about the age that a man moves out of his childhood home," says David, "My circumstances just happen to be a bit unconventional. Are we stopping the spar?"

"We seemed to have already stopped it," you reply, "Do you have something for us Sapphire Squire?"

"Just a bar of chocolate for each," answers Brenda as she holds out the three wrapped bars in question, "I know that none of us need to eat anymore, but I figured it would be a nice treat. So David, are you going to keep up a secret identity know that you going to be a vigilante full-time?"

"Having thought about it, I think that I will," replies David as he takes one of the bars from his fellow squire, "Keeping my civilian identity seems like it could be useful and I don't see much benefit from discarding it."

"Your call," says Sapphire Squire as you take your bar, "So how did the sparring go?"

"It was good practice," you answer, "Neither of us were trying to win, but I appreciated the chance to keep my skills fresh. I have no desire to get rusty at unarmed combat even if I primarily a wield a sword."

"I would join you full-time, but I have a civilian life," says Sapphire Squire as she gives David an apologetic look, "I get on pretty well with my family, I got friends and a social life and I am looking to get into a school."

"School?" inquires David as he shoots Sapphire Squire a look.

"I'm looking into further education," explains Sapphire Squire as she sits down at a chair, "While someone like me wouldn't normally be able to get it, the connections I have formed thanks to being the Sapphire Squire have allowed me to have opportunities that would otherwise be denied to me."

"I get that," says David, "I'm not sure how I would have gotten away from Dad without the two of you. I would have either gone down the same path or gotten killed in some back alley for my troubles."

"I must confess that my opportunities have remained the same," you admit, "I was born into my privilege and my power is independent of my vigilante activities through I am must grateful to have met the two of you. I much prefer your company to that of my new team."

"Having second thoughts about your job?" asks Sapphire Squire in a joking manner.

"Hardly," you retort, "Hmm, you aren't having any trouble getting into school in the current climate?"

"No," answers Sapphire Squire, "I might have trouble getting into it, but the school is more concerned about grades and money than my heritage."

"I am missing something?" inquires David and both you and Sapphire Squire share a glance.

"I am Irish," explains Sapphire Squire, a partial truth though it omits the fact that it is only on her mother's side, "Or at least my descendant is. No one seems to care that I've never been to Ireland and have spent my whole life in London."

"Ah, I see," says David, "I should have guessed from the red hair. But yeah, that sucks. This whole anti-Irish sentiment is nonsense and misplaced."

"You will get no disagreement from me on that," says Sapphire Squire, "Hey Fairy Knight, want to go for a round or two of sparring once we've done eating?"

"The situation in parliament is interesting," says Gareth as the two of you drink some tea together in the Wallis Mansion, "There has already been some change and there is more change to come."

"The Liberal party is falling apart while the Labour party is on the rise," you note as the recent circumstances have left you keeping an eye on British politics as you try to figure out who your enemies are, "Conservatives seem to be fine apart from a few scandals."

"The conservatives in something of a civil war," Gareth corrects you, "Nothing to open, but they are very divided on which way they want to take the party. If it was not for the fact that both sides of the divide want to keep on being the Conservative party, they would have already split."

"I thought they were focused on patriotism and anti-socialism?" you inquiry as you frown in thought, "The former thanks to the Great War and the latter due to the rise of the Labour party."

"You are correct that they have strong stances on those two matters Tamara, but they are not the only issues that the conservatives are focused upon," replies Gareth with a gentlemanly smile, "It is just that the other issues that they are divided over. Well, not all of them. Their anti-socialism stance is pushing them towards more traditional liberal views on the economy and that is only being pushed further in an attempt to snatch voters from the Liberal party as other liberal voters turn to Labour."

"I thought that Labour and Conservatives were opposed to each other," you ask, "Why would they be fighting for voters from the Liberal party?"

"The Labour party is picking up voters who voted Liberal for social reasons while the Conservatives are trying to pick up voters who voted Liberal for economic reasons," explains Gareth, "I'm not sure how effective it will be, but I am currently of the belief that it will cripple the influence of the Liberal party. I might be wrong. It is hard to predict which direction politics will go with the constant change."

"Okay, so let's get back to the conflict within the Conservative party," you say, "How are they infighting and what is it over?"

"I haven't got any proof for this, but I strongly suspect it is the result of the Eternal Empire attempting to drag the Conservative party down their preferred path," says Gareth after taking a sip of his tea, "They have only seen limited success mind you. You can't just turn a political party around like that. Patriotism is one thing, but a lot of people are balking at how far some of their fellows want to take this whole pro-British Empire thing that they have going."

"Wouldn't they just be voted out of office if they took things too differently to what their voters want?" you inquire.

"That is another problem that the Eternal Empire and their supporters are running into," says Gareth with a slight grin on his face, "Judging from what Lucius Stenham was up to down in the south, I say they figured they could use corruption and criminal deeds to carry the vote in their favour, but Lucius Stenham is also a good example of that short coming."

"Galahad did a good job over there," you comment with a smile as you remember reading up on Stenham's corruption being systematically exposed and his criminal operations stopped one way or another.

"Yes, he did," agrees Gareth before frowning, "That brings up something that is concerning me."

"Oh?" you inquire, giving your grandfather-in-law your full attention.

"From what I can tell, things aren't that bad in parliament," says Gareth as he puts down his almost empty cup of tea, "But at the same time, I heard little about what your group and Galahad's group have been getting up to from those same sources even if I do get some of the aftermath. Seeing just what is happening behind the scenes on your end makes me realise just how much can be missed by my more conventional sources and what else they might be missing."

"You are worried that we are missing what groups like the Consortium remnants and the Eternal Empire are getting up to in the shadows," you summarise and you have to agree with Gareth's concerns as who knows what misdeeds your foes are getting up to, "What do you think?"

"I left politics for a reason," replies Gareth, eying you as he does so, "I didn't really have a vision for the country. Hell, I am honest, I have only got back into the game to stop other players from winning. I know what I stand against and it is against the likes of the Eternal Empire, the republicans, the communists and the anarchists. Liberals are collapsing, Labour has some good ideas, but I am wary of them going full communist. We don't need a mess like what the Russians are going through and that means keeping communist dogs away from the government. The Conservatives have some good ideas as well, but they got scum like the Eternal Empire in their ranks."

"You fight to stop evil rather than to bring about good," you say, thinking about your own politics.

"Yes, that sounds about right," agrees Gareth before letting out a weary sigh, "I am an old man. The future should be decided by the next generation, by those that are going to live in it. But enough musing, the Eternal Empire is going to have a fight on their hands if they want to rig democracy. I will not deny that the government has a worsening problem with corruption, but we still have idealists and die-hard believers in democratic ideals."

"They have already suffered a defeat at their hands," you say before deciding to clarify your words, "Galahad is a true believer in democracy and that has led him to ruin Lucius Stenham's attempts to corrupt it."

"And does just that bring a smile to my day," mutters Gareth, "This is going to be more your fight than mine. I am an old burn out man who has plenty of resources, but not much left to lose. Or at least things worth losing. I am in this for vengeance more than anything. These scum took my grandson from me and I am going to make them pay for that."

"I understand," you tell him, "Vengeance is an understandable motivation even if I personally prefer justice."

"It will ruin me if my age doesn't catch up with me first," says Gareth as he looks you in the eye, "Remember this Tamara, you might get vengeance, but no one has found satisfaction in it. It can light a fire in you, but that fire will burn you for as long as it rages, until it leaves you as a burnt-out husk of your former self."

"Fairy Knight!" someone calls to you as you fly through the sky, heading back to your castle after a somewhat successful get together with your team.

You pause as you recognise the voice of Galahad. You have only met the man twice before, but your fellow hero is the sort of individual that you make an effort to remember. Turning around, you spot Galahad flying towards you.

He looks different to the last previous times you met. On both occasions, Galahad clad himself in fiery plate armour made from his Blaze power. This time, he is wearing a more conventional outfit that favours a blend of modern and traditional whilst distinctly invoking the image of a knight.

The gloves and boots are of modern make, clearly designed to be sturdy and used outdoors while Galahad wears black trousers and red long-sleeved shirt with a collar. That is where the modernity of the costume ends as Galahad wears a white tabard over his shirt and trousers. A golden lion with a red sword behind it is displayed proudly on the tabard. Galahad's costume is topped off by a great helm on his head that conceals his face and therefore his identity.

"Galahad," you greet him back as he stops in front of you, the two of you hover in the sky, high up enough that no one can recognise the two of you with mundane eyesight, "I see you have a new costume."

"I found a tailor who was willingly to a discreet job on the side and I, err, I was able to pay her thanks to looting some of Stenham's riches," answers Galahad, going from confident to sheepish, "Nothing illegal of course! Sort of anyway. I didn't legally get the goods, but I didn't take stuff that Stenham illegally took from other people. Just some stuff he fairly acquired and won't miss."

"I am not going to judge a fine warrior like you for taking some well-earnt loot," you tell him back with a smile, "It is pretty clear to me that despite the questionable legality of your actions, you have done your best to ensure no innocent suffered due to your deeds. May I ask what has brought you to London?"

"To be honest, I wanted to meet with you," admits Galahad, "I was going to swing by the Nighthouse, but I saw you before I got there and, well, here we are. I am not interrupting anything am I?"

"Not at all," you assure him, "I was just heading back to my castle after spending some time with my team. I have a couple of places to check out tonight and I am going to spend some time with my daughter, but I currently have no pressing matters on my schedule."

"Your team," says Galahad thoughtfully, "I heard about that. I've been keeping track of what you and the Kingsmen are up to, both via official news and swapping stories with your squire."

"Interested in joining?" you inquire, "My bosses do not know the full extent of capabilities yet, but they would certainly be eager in recruiting you if I let them know."

"I will pass," replies Galahad, "Nothing against you, but my past experiences with the government have left me having no desire to work for a corrupt government."

"Yes, I can see how that would be a problem," you say with a nod as you acknowledge your fellow hero's point, "I would strongly advise against joining if that is your stance. I would love to have you as a reliable member of the team, but it is clear to all of us that the government has more than its fair of corruption."

"We will have to work on that," declares Galahad resolutely and you can almost see sparks flicker across him, "But that isn't what I wanted to talk about and while this isn't it either, I have to ask, a reliable member of the team?"

"We can get on professional and work fine as colleagues, but there is no friendship or trust beneath the job we do together," you admit to Galahad, "Imperial Lion doesn't always remember he isn't in charge of the team and he has some unfortunate hang ups regarding women and those of different race.

Longbow is a former criminal and the only way she has changed away from that is by legally working for the government instead illegal working for criminals. She is a mercenary at heart and only cares for the money and minimising risk to her.

Spider is the best, but that is only because he has untapped potential. He could be a great hero, but his criminal past and enhancements limited his opportunities. The government has him in their grasp and I worried about how the lad could turn out thanks to their influence."

"Good thing he has you there for him," says Galahad before fidgeting, "So it is pretty bad?"

"We can work as a team, but we aren't going to be friends unless something changes," you tell him with a frown as you think back to the last couple of hours, "Well, Spider could be since the lad has a lot of unshaped potential. Imperial Lion respects me as his boss, but as a woman, he views me as inherently lesser than him. And as I said before, Longbow is a mercenary. She doesn't care about the team or those on it and would sell us out in a heartbeat if she felt that was her best option."

"Yeah, that is pretty bad," says Galahad and you are fairly certain he is giving you some kind of look that you can't see beneath that helmet of his, "My team doesn't have issues like that, but I am pretty much the only one of us who goes into the field."

"I think it is just because the Kingsmen were a bunch of individuals put together by the government," you comment, "My old team worked well together and got along, but we came together by choice and stayed with each other out of choice and I suspect your team is very similar in that regard. The Kingsmen are not that at all."

"When you put it like that, I am definitely not joining the Kingsmen if I can help it," says Galahad, "That doesn't sound like my sort of gig."

"I don't know, you are both pretty powerful and inspiring," you idly disagree, "And a man. That would definitely put you on the up with Imperial Lion."

"Someone who judges my worth based on what is between my legs isn't someone whose opinion I care about," scoffs Galahad, "I definitely don't want to meet this Imperial Lion. He sounds like an utter arse."

"He is kind of," you admit, "But enough about my new team. I would like to hear about your new costume. It looks good and fits you just perfectly, but I am curious about what inspired the change."

"Oh, that is a simple story," replies Galahad, "Well, I mentioned who did and where I got the resources, but the reason why is that I didn't want to rely upon my powers to conceal my identity and keep up an appropriate appearance. If I was to ever get knocked out, my armour would disappear and leave me in a really homemade outfit. I also had to consider that using the Blaze to provide myself with a costume limited how much of it I could use overall. By having an actual costume, I can use that bit of Blaze for other things."

"That makes sense and your new costume does look rather fetching on you," you tell him, "Still, we should probably get on with what you came here to talk to me about. I must admit, I am most curious to find out what brought you out here."

"I guess I should get around to that," says Galahad, "But first, I got to say that I am surprised to hear you have a daughter though I can see why you want to keep that quiet."

"I wouldn't want my foes trying to target me through her," you say before thinking it over for a moment, "But only my daughter. The rest of my family is fair game and I pity which fool tries to go after them."

"That fits what I've heard of your sisters," says Galahad, "So does having a daughter mean you are married? Sapphire Squire gave me the impression that you were still free."

"I was married," you inform your fellow hero with a twinge of loss and a stab of anger, "I was married to the Night, who was the father of my daughter. He has been dead for some time as he was slain by Redcoat on the orders of the Eternal Empire before I first went out as Fairy Knight."

"You have my sympathies for what they are worth," says Galahad solemnly, "And I will go one step further, I offer to help you avenge your love's death."

"A knight in shining armour offering to aid a damsel like myself," you tease Galahad and he looks away from her while you are certain he is blushing behind that face-concealing helmet of his, "You have already brought down Lucius Stenham, who I have on good authority was a member of the Eternal Empire. While I will not turn down your offer of aid, especially when I was already planning to secret, I am not too fussed about avenging my husband's death. I have already defeated his killer and it has been years since his death. I have moved on."

You don't mention that your love for the Night came-comes-from a fake set of memories that your sister gave you. While you love Alex and appreciate the company and aid of Gareth, your love for Ben is more of a second-hand experience for you."

"I will be honoured to help you in your fight against these vile villains," declares Galahad, shifting from embarrassment to that confident knight.

"Such a charming knight," you say with a laugh at the sudden switch between being flustered and standing proud, "I will note that we still have yet to get what brought you here."

"Oh that," says Galahad sheepishly as he scratches the back of his neck, "It seems a bit in poor taste now, but I was hoping to ask you out on a date.

Galahad is asking Fairy Knight out on a date. How does Fairy Knight respond?
[] Galahad is the sort of fellow you would approach a relationship. Remind him that you have a free evening and see what he comes up with.
[] Galahad is delightful man and you wouldn't mind the idea of a relationship with him. Arrange a time and activity for your date.
[] Galahad is a charming lad, but you just aren't interested in him. Not in this sort of day.
[] You have nothing against Galahad, but you aren't looking for a romantic relationship right now.
[] Write-in.

Gain 1 Hero Point for the start of a new arc and gain another hero point for me being unable to write the Kingsmen social. You currently have 15 available Hero Points.

I really hoped to get this done a few days ago, but it ended up being a few thousand words long. Between the unexpected length and me struggling to write the Kingsmen section, it took far longer than I originally planned. Speaking of the Kingsmen section, I scrapped it as I just kept struggling to write it properly.

This has led me to the conclusion. The Kingsmen is functional on the job, but off the clock, they are a bunch of strangers who don't get along. Longbow who is a mercenary who doesn't care about the team beyond keeping out of jail and getting paid. Imperial Lion is a sexist racist who chafes under being suboardinate to a woman. Spider isn't that bad, but he is just different to Fairy Knight. They might be able to connect, but only without their other teammates there.

If I do a vote like this again, it will either exclude the Kingsmen or have them as a separate option for each individual. In regards to this vote, this wasn't the vote I originally planned, but I wrote a few thousand words so I decided to call it here. The next update can begin my plans for this arc.

Accepting a date with Galahad will not be committing to a relationship. It will just be responding to Galahad's expression of interest with one of your own and then going on a date to see how compatible you are. The third option is declaring that you aren't interesting in Galahad romantically and the fourth option is Tamara deciding she isn't interesting pursuing any sort of romance with anyone right now. Also Galahad is a legal adult in case anyone is wondering.

Please point out any spelling or grammar mistakes that you spot. Please quote them in the thread and explain what you think is wrong so I know what you are referring to. Feel to ask questions for more details and information.

How much of this has become common knowledge, what with our castle and I thought we got knighted.

Thats fair. Even learning that it was a disaster is valuable and it gives us a goal to try and slowly alter the team to be more along the lines of what we want.

Tamara Wallis is still Fairy Knight's secret identity and the government doesn't know the connection between them or that Fairy Knight had a civilian identiy before they recruited her. They gave her a public identity of Tara Lane, who got the barony and castle. Think of it like Superman's identity in Lire Ore Death. Superman/Fairy Knight is the superhero, Kal-El/Tara Lane is the publically known civilian identity and Clark Kent/Tamara Wallis is the secret civilian identity.

Removed. Thanks for catching that. Also, you haven't put an 'X' in the vote. I'm not sure if that is a deliberately choice or if you just forgot to add it in.

Tamara married Night under the Wallis alias then.
Is Tamara Lane also a secret identity, or is it known?

That is correct. That identity was originally Tamara Lyn before she got married to Benedict Wallis and then it became Tamara Wallis. It should also be noted that nobody knew that the Night was actually Benedict Wallis outside of his family so Fairy Knight saying she was married to the Night doesn't hint towards them being Tamara Wallis and Ben Wallis.

Tamara Wallis is the secret identity of Fairy Knight that no one knows about except for Gareth Wallis & his butler, Sapphire Squire, Inspector Brown & pretty much everyone in Kingdom of the Faeries. Tara Lane is publically known identity.

To summarise:
Fairy Knight = Superheroine, Married to the Night (Public)
Tamara Wallis nee Lyn = Civilian, Married to Benedict Wallis (Secret)
Tara Lane = Civilian (Public)

Night = Superhero, Married to Fairy Knight (Public)
Benedict Wallis = Civilian, Married to Tamara Wallis (Secret)

I get why I don't remember Nights real name but I feel stupid that I forgot his fathers family name. That was stupid of me.
That Night was publicly married to FK is why I was asking if things where common knowledge as a distinct question since Galahad didn't seem to know.

Ah, I didn't realise you were asking about that. No, it is not common knowledge that Fairy Knight and Night were married and for that matter, it isn't confirmed and just a (plausible) rumour. For those that care about such things, it is an open secret that there was some kind of connection/relationship between Fairy Knight and Night, but that is plausible rumour based off of the facts rather than confirmed facts. The exact nature of the relationship is unknown and while Fairy Knight hasn't confirmed there being any relationship between them, she hasn't denied it either. Also remember that Fairy Knight entered the scene by looking for the Night shortly after he disappeared.

But in regards in to the update, Galahad didn't know that they were married and had no reason to assume that was the case since his interactions with Sapphire Squire left him with the impression that Fairy Knight wasn't in a relationship (which to be fair, that is true). Fairy Knight decided to let him known about her marriage because the details provided wouldn't compromise any of her secrets and she has respect for Galahad as a hero.

Huh, I would have assumed that the time retcon would have put them as hero partners and that was probably how they would have met. Its not really clear why Moira decided to ship them otherwise, except the relationship with Gareth?
Or why if Tamara had been in the human world for longer, why she didn't start heroism immediately.

Moira wanted to give Tamara a daughter like Sapphire Squire and proper identity in the human world. She used her reality-warping magic and let the magic take care of the details, which it did by giving the rumours about Fairy Knight and the Night some actual substance behind them especially since the similarities between Benedict Wallis and Brenda Brown meant that a daughter of the former could end up being a lot like the later. Things turned out as they did because it was the path of least resistance for the magic and required it to do a minimal amount of tweaking.

Or why if Tamara had been in the human world for longer, why she didn't start heroism immediately.

She didn't get her fairy memories and powers until the start of 1920 (which was the original time she arrived in the human world before Moira worked her magic) and at that point, Redcoat had already killed Night.
