London

Known Heroes and Heroic Organisations
The first costumed vigilante in both the British Isles and London, the Night appeared in early 1916. Primarily focused on fighting the Consortium and stopping the criminal empire taking advantage of the then ongoing war, the Night also focused on regular crimes and the criminals of London soon learnt to fear his presence. He vanished in mid 1919 without a trace while investigating the politician Barnaby May-Porter and his ties to the Consortium leadership.

His secret identity is Benedict Wallis, grandson of the wealthy retired politician Gareth Wallis.
The youthful squire of the Fairy Knight and aspiring heroine, Sapphire Squire relies on a mixture of physical skill, mental ability and technological gadgets. A genius and prodigy, Sapphire Squire holds her own on the streets of London and has proven herself worthy of fighting alongside her mentor. Since 25th December 1920, Sapphire Squire has gained two magical abilities from her mentor, one which allows her to change her outfit at will and provide her clothing with protective properties while the other removes her needs for sleep, food and drink.
The second squire of Fairy Knight, Onyx Squire comes from a criminal background and seeks to help the world rather than hurt it like the rest of his family. Relying mainly on his fists and hardiness, Onyx Squire has picked some equipment and magic from Fairy Knight and Sapphire Squire, the most exotic of these being his partial invisibility and complete silence.

His secret identity is David White, son of the street thug Jacob White.
Jordan Brown is a chief inspector within the Metropolitan Police. A determined man who believes in stopping criminals and protecting the innocent, Chief Inspector Brown is willingly to bend the law a little if it means seeing proper justice done.

Following his systematic dismantlement of the Dragonsteeth, Jordan Brown was promoted from Detective Sergeant to Detective Inspector. Following the arrest of the Templar, Jordan Brown has formed a formal covert partnership with the Fairy Knight.

As of 1st March 1921, Jordan Brown has been promoted to Chief Inspector from Detective Inspector under a cloud of politics, high tenses and borderline infighting amongst the Metropolitan Police.
Gareth Wallis is a wealthy man and a retired politician who has known great tragedy. The ageing man has outlived all of his family and currently lives alone in London with his butler. He was aware of his grandson's activities as the Night and covertly funded his crusade. As of January 1920, he supports and funds Fairy Knight's continuation of the Night's crusade.

Known Villains and Villainous Organisations
While some call him a hero, the Golden Knight is definitely a criminal. Appearing in 1919, the Golden Knight and his Golden Order are returning veterans of the Great War. While they fight the Consortium and claim to see justice for the people, many of the Golden Order's activities are regular organised crime and in some ways, the Golden Knight is just another crime lord who dressed up as a costumed vigilante.

On 9th February 1920, the Golden Order captured Sam Carson of the White Devils and hold him captive.
On 24th April 1920, the Golden Knight aided Fairy Knight at Anna Lucas' party.
The White Devils are a London street gang that was led by Sam Carson and backed by the Consortium. A male dominated gang that believes in the supremacy of the white Englishman, the White Devils seek to purge London of its 'foreign filth'. Covertly supported by the Consortium, the White Devils rose to prominence falling the Night's disappearance and seek to 'clean out' Whitechapel so they can turn it into their territory and use the neighbourhood as a base of operations.

On 9th February 1920, Sam Carson was defeated by Fairy Knight before being captured by the Golden Order. Following the loss of their leader, the White Devils have fallen into infighting and got systemically picked off by their foes. As of mid 1920, the gang no longer exists.

As of 25th February, Sam Carson was freed from the captivity of the Golden Order by Redcoat, presumably on the orders of the Consortium.
The Dragonsteeth were a major street gang that was founded and led by Anna Lucas. Covertly backed by the Consortium, the Dragonsteeth held a position of prominence within the London criminal underworld and the gang held great influence over several small gangs.

On 24th April 1920, Anna Lucas was defeated by Fairy Knight and later arrested by the police alongside several of her subordinates.

Between late April 1920 and early August 1920, Detective Sergeant Jordan Brown systematically dismantled the gang. He did so by arresting and putting in prison most of their leadership and membership, shutting down all of their major operations and most of their minor ones and he ruined their reputation.

As of September 1920, Cliff Gregory currently leads what is left of the Dragonsteeth with the gang having gone to ground as a remnant of their former glory.

As of April 1921, the Dragonsteeth are no more after being consumed by rivals in the gang war following the downfall of the Royal Ravens.
Levy Porter was the chief enforcer of the Dragonsteeth, a feared man for his deadly prowess. He was arrested by Detective Sergeant Jordan Brown on the 24th April 1920 after being defeated by Fairy Knight and was later sent to prison.
Levy Porter was a sub-boss of the Dragonsteeth and their main accountant. An experienced elderly man, he managed most of the gang's finances and briefly took over half of it following Anna Lucas' arrest.

He was arrested by Detective Sergeant Jordan Brown during early June 1920 and was later sent to prison.
Cliff Gregory is the current leader of what remains of the Dragonsteeth. An ambitious and dangerous man, he leads what is left of the gang after avoiding being arrested by Detective Brown.

As for 25th February 1921, Cliff Gregory is attempting to return the gang to prominence and has broken its prior ties with the Consortium.

As of April 1921, the Dragonsteeth are no more after being consumed by rivals in the gang war following the downfall of the Royal Ravens. The current fate of Cliff Gregory is unknown.
The Consortium is the top dog within the criminal underworld of London with its leadership remaining unknown to outsiders and most within the Consortium. Whilst it has sway across most of the British Isles, the Consortium is located in London where it holds the most of its power and influence.

Despite enjoying a good couple of decades of effectively uncontested dominance, the Consortium has founded itself increasing under attack in recent years with its most prominent foes being the Night, the Golden Order and Fairy Knight.
An middle-manager within the Consortium who is responsible with coordinating with outside assets. He was Windstrike's liaison when the Consortium hired her to kill Fairy Knight in March 1920.
Known as Ronald Barr in his civilian identity, the Templar is a fearsome warrior who dresses up in plate armour, styling himself after a medieval knight. Wielding his imposing war hammer, the Fist of God, the Templar is one of the most dangerous individuals on London's streets with very few capable of matching him. Having retired from the army after a decade of service at the end of the Great War, Ronald seemingly works for an Anglican organisation that seeks to purge London's streets of heretics and infidels.

He was arrested on the 18th September 1920 after being defeated by the Fairy Knight, but avoided going to prison due to destruction of evidence during his trial.
Peter Michaelson was the leader of the Royal Ravens and a member of the Consortium. The Royal Ravens were the top gang in London and the Consortium used them as a proxy to control the streets of London. Following a rash attack on the Brown family in February 1921, the full force of the Scotland Yard came down on the Royal Ravens and as of April 1921, the gang has been systemically destroyed one way or another and is effectively no more.
Allen Baxter as the chief enforcer of the Royal Ravens.

On 16th February 1921, Allen Baxter was accidentally slain by Fairy Knight in battle.
25th February 1921, the Regal Ravens split off from the Royal Ravens.

The wife of Jordan Brown and mother of Brenda Brown and James Brown. A formerly cheerful and supportive woman, she was almost killed on the 18th February 1921. While she survived thanks to Fairy Knight's intervention, her right hand has been maimed and Eira has fallen into a deep depression.

As of May 1921, Eira has fully recovered thanks to Moira Lyn and her magic.
The son of Jordan and Eira Brown and the younger brother of Brenda Brown. James Brown was a shy kid who witness his mother almost being killed in their own home on the 18th February 1921 alongside receiving injuries of his own. While he and his mother were saved by the Fairy Knight, the fallout has left him spooked and jumping at shadows.

As of May 1921, James has fully recovered thanks to Moira Lyn and her magic.

Kingdom of the Faeries

Known Heroes and Heroic Organisations
The King of the Faeries and former ruler of the Little Court of Ireland, Tiarnach is a stern, but fair ruler. A capable warrior and respected leader, he is a highly popular leader thanks to his own actions as King and his overthrowing of his aunt. He seeks to change the ways of his people and turn them into something more noble and less capricious.

Known Villains and Villainous Organisations
Sister to the first Queen of the Faeries and temporary usurper, Princess Taenya is an ambitious and paranoid woman. While she was able to amass a loyal following that allowed to overthrow her sister, Taenya valued loyalty and subservience over competence and ability. She would later meet her downfall when her paranoia and tyrannical rulership resulted turning half of her realm against her, purges that left her supporters greatly reduced in number and putting the most loyal subordinates in charge rather than those that were qualified to do the job.

While time flows differently in the Kingdom of the Faeries, it was roughly 6th May 1921 that Prince Tiarnach overthrow Taenya and became king.
The son of Taenya, Prince Auraen made up what he lacked in competence with obedience. He was left in charge of defending the Little Court of Scotland when his mother was overthrown, resulting in his defeat at the hands of Tamara Lyn and her squire.

Known Civilians and Neutral Organisations
The mother of Tamara Lyn and many other important fairies, the Queen of the Faeries was a powerful and uncontested leader. Having rightfully earnt both fear and respect, the Queen of the Faeries was a whimsical and capricious ruler who did what she felt like at any given moment thanks to being powerful enough to get away with it.

At some point prior to start of 1920, she was overthrown by her sister Taenya and has not been seen from since.
The daughter of the Queen of Faeries, Princes Moira rules over the Little Court of England. While she is a decent ruler, Moira is more focused on magic and improving her magical abilities. She and her half-sister Tamara consider each other to be their favourite sibling.

As of May 1921, Princess Moira has taken up the human identity of Moira Lyn.
The son of Princess Taenya, Prince Zelphar ruled over the Little Court of Wales before being disposed alongside his mother.
The daughter of the Queen of Faeries, Princes Maeryn rules over the Little Court of Cornwall. While not a bad ruler, Princess Maeryn is more interested in socialising than running her realm. Maeryn likes to spend her time engaging in politics and the high life of society.

Okay, I am going to have the next vote as a time-skip upgrade vote. However, I feel the list of options is becoming a little large so I'm thinking of splitting it across two updates for the options with multiple sub-options, mainly stuff like getting different alternative effects. On the other hand, I don't want to split what amounts to a single vote across two updates so I'm leery of doing that. I could make the list of options shorter to keep it from both being too long and split across two updates, but I'm not sure that is a good idea.

What would you guys prefer? A long list of options in a single update? Vote for the main options in one update and then vote on the sub-options in the next? Just have a shorter list of options to choose from?

[X] [Pride] Tamara has learnt to value hard work and effort. She takes pride in doing her best in whatever she is attempting and has no pride outside of that.

[X] [History] The magic of Moira's changes to reality will wane from Tamara, leaving her memories faded like she got from reading a book.
[X] [Person] Tamara is one of the Fair Folk. She will be playful and excitable, taking things in her stride and remaining cheerful in all sorts of situations.
[X] [Rogues] Tamara will face humans who rely upon technology and science to even the odds. Her foes will rely upon gadgets, equipment and other technological tricks to try and defeat her with cunning.

"So this is goodbye," says Lydia as you say your goodbyes to the Woodsworth sisters.

In hindsight, this was probably something that had been coming for some time now. You didn't need to drink, eat or sleep so you didn't need to come here for those things like you used and even if you still had those needs, you had other homes you could use. These days you just stay here to hang out with your oldest human friends and that was about it.

With your new job and castle, it was about time that you moved on and that meant both moving out of the Woodsworth sisters' home and into your new castles whilst also quitting your maid job to focus on your new duties as the leader of the Kingsmen.

"Not entirely," you tell Lydia as you move in for a hug, "I will still pay my portion of the rent and we will still hang out. We will still be seeing each other."

"All things come to an end," says Ellen off to the side, "I would say that I will miss having you around, but you haven't been around that much for some time."

"Aye", you agree as you and Lydia release each other, "You two both know how to get in touch with me. Get into any trouble and I will do my best to get you out of it so long as you don't go criminal on me."

"We won't, right Lydia?" says Ellen as she gives her sister a look.

"I've gotten good at keeping out of fights," replies Lydia as she matches Ellen's look, "See you around Tam."

***

"Are you sure that you are going to do fine without a maid?" you ask Gareth as Amar hovers silently in the background.

The butler is always keeping out of the way whenever he is around. Even when you worked together, he was the silent, unobtrusive sort that did his job with minimal fuss or talk. Still, you appreciate him showing you the basics when you were just starting out.

"I will be fine," Gareth reassures you, "With just me and Alexandra around, Amar is capable of handling things and should matters become too much for him, I am rich enough to hire someone else to help out."

"That is fair," you agree as you think about the daughter you don't really remember giving birth to, "And I will still be popping in from time to time. I do have my identity as Tamara Wallis to maintain and Alex still requires her mother."

"Of course," says Gareth, "This is not the end of our relationship and this is not the first time that I had one of the younger generation move out Tamara. Morris and Tristan moved out and to a degree, so did Ben."

"It is life," you concur, "I will miss my job. I did enjoy it."

***

"Things are changing for both of us." says Brenda before taking a bite from the ice cream that you brought her, "You got your new castle and job while I've got my new school and taking over from you."

"I still want to work with you," you tell her, "I feel bad about leaving David so soon after recruiting him."

"We can still freely associate in our civilian identities," points out Brenda, "Plus you can do some stuff with us if you can wangle it as being part of your job."

"That is true," you agree before something occurs to you, "David doesn't know our civilian identities. That is going to make things more difficult."

"We could tell him ours," says Brenda and you freeze at her words, not at all prepared for something like that to come out of her mouth, "We've known his for sometime and he has fought alongside us. I know I'm kind of paranoid about my secret identity, but David and I have been shot up and gassed together. That builds up a bond of trust."

"I will think about it," you reply as the two of you enjoy each other's company.

Okay so the path to the fun Talatine upgrades has always been effectively walled by having to buy something we don't really want to waste time on. This new weaken is a good choice and probably a bone Oshhas throwing us to make us discuss it more. @Oshha I would like to confirm, is this a linked or alternate effect?
Upgrading the array is a point efficient choice and shifts it into being a cost effective way of purchasing this. It improves our concealment and other things as well.

Onyx's Lighnting option is really good. It means that we can finally diversify away from just using toughness checks to incapacitate. Flight 2 doubles SS's speed in the air, isn't that great.

Spider Charm seems like the option that is most personally meaningful to the Kingsmen.

Picked skills because I think they represent getting good at our new job best, improving leadership and police duties, which is what we voted Tamara's life choice should be.

Spending a hero point because we're rolling in them and since Oshha gave us the choice it seems rude not to ;). I've wanted to get into the woodsworths plotlines for a while. Want to keep up focusing on the new job, but also want to investigate this Eternal Empire, they seem to be being setup as the next big bad.

You are missing your third choice.
Pick three areas for Tamara to improve in.

Girls' Night Out
Girls' Night Out
"Ready for a girl's night out?" asks Lydia as Tamara Wallis, the Woodsworth sisters and the Lyn sisters sit around the table.

Tamara had initially been concerned about this, but Lydia was eager for it and she managed to get Ellen to agree to it. Moira and Maeryn were both interested when she had mentioned Lydia's idea to them and here all of them are, the five of them ready to go out drinking and shopping with Tamara's siblings footing the bill.

So far things are going okay despite the previous scuffle between Moira and the Woodsworth sisters the first and last time they met. There is a bit of initial nervousness by Tamara's housemates, but nobody brings up the last encounter and things proceed apace.

"What is the plan?" asks Tamara.

"Clothes shopping, other kinds of shopping followed by a dinner at a restaurant that Maeve has booked," answers Lydia, "Then we will go out drinking before coming back home."

"Mae is paying for dinner and I will pay for the shopping," says Moira, "Drinks will be split between us."

"It seemed unfair to make Ellen and Lydia pay when we have far more money at our disposal," says Maeryn or Maeve as she is called in her human identity.

"Which I am grateful for," says Ellen, "I'm not sure that we could afford to keep up with your tastes."

"Just let me pick out some of your new clothes and we'll call it even," says Moira with a wave of your hand, "And are you going to be wearing those?"

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Moira is referring to the attire of the Woodsworth sisters. Lydia is wearing a more traditional green dress while Ellen is wearing a black skirt that falls just below the knee alongside a white blouse. Both sets of clothing are noticeably of lower quality than Moira's red dress and Maeryn's black gown of silk or even Tamara's silver dress.

"This is the best we have," answers Lydia defensively.

"Yeah, I'm going to spruce those up if you don't mind," says Moira, "You don't exactly look like you're in the same group as us like that."

"If you want to improve our looks for free, I'm not going to stop you," says Ellen, "It isn't like I can afford to improve them."

At Ellen's words, Moira throws a pleading look at Tamara, who sighs before nodding her approval. Ellen did sort of ask for it and Tamara trusts that Moira won't do anything over the line. With a grin on her face, Moira snaps her fingers and the clothing of Tamara's housemates changes. Lydia's green dress goes from a cheap old-fashioned one that you suspect is a hand-me down to one matching the quality and style of Moira's whilst Ellen gains a silky black gown like Maeryn's.

"There we go," says Moira in a satisfied tone, "Now you got some matching outfits. I also made your cosmetics into your natural looks so you got real beauty over fake beauty. Outfits will stay as they are once the night is over, but your appearances will be returned to how they were in the morning."

"Um, thanks," says Lydia as she looks down at herself, "Like thanks a lot."

"Oh, I don't mind using magic like this," replies Moira with a wave of her hand, "I know how you humans are about consent or otherwise I would use it more often on you."

"Since we all know the plan for the night and our outfits are all sorted, how about we head off?" suggests Maeryn.

***

"Shopping is more of an interesting experience than I thought it would be," muses Moira, "I suppose it makes sense if you don't have magic. I would just change something I already got into what I need it to be."

"Are you enjoying yourself?" inquires Tamara as the two sisters exit the shop with bags of clothing.

"Oh yes," answers Moira, "Picking out clothing and trying it on is fun. Once the novelty runs off, I will want to add some magic into the mix, but I able to enjoy doing it the human way tonight. Do you want to go and see what dresses Maeve got for your pals?"

"Sure. I'm curious what she got them at the tailor," says Tamara before giving her half-sibling a knowing look, "What have you got on your mind?"

"Imagine if that instead of making the dress fit their body, we made their bodies fit the dress," says Moira, "Think they would go for that?"

"Possibly," replies Tamara, "Lydia and Ellen seem more eager to try out magic, but then they haven't seen the weirder and more horrifying aspects of it yet. They might be willingly to let you change their bodies, but only into something human. No animals, furniture or clothing."

"Spoilsport," says Moira with mock indignation, "But yeah, take it slow and ease them into it slowly...hmm, I think Lydia would make for a nice horse."

"No turning my housemate into a horse," says Tamara warningly, "We are having a nice night out as girls where we will remain girls."

"Got it," says Moira, "Speaking of girls, why didn't your squire come along?"

"Brenda is too young for this sort of thing and she is babysitting Alex for me," answers Tamara, "We can have another night out with her, but having her and the Woodsworth sisters in the same one would be weird."

"We are definitely having another night out with Brenda," declares Moira, "That one can be more magical. Anyway, go and see the others now?"

"Sure."

"Are you seriously talking about buying new furniture for us?" exclaims Ellen as Lydia and Moira inspect a plush chair, "I know you said you would pay, but..."

"We'll buy a couple of pieces and then upgrade the rest with magic," says Maeryn to Ellen, "Moira loves the chance to use magic on stuff. Or people."

"I've started to notice that," says Ellen before glancing at Maeryn and Tamara, "I don't need to worry about it do I?"

"Tamara has made Moira and I agree not to transform any humans without their consent," answers Maeryn, "You'll be fine and frankly, we would treat you fine even if we did have free reign to transform you."

"Which doesn't mean that she won't transform you without your consent," adds Tamara, "It just means that you will be well treated."

"Yeah, but transforming people is more Moira's thing," says Maeryn, "She likes the combination of using her magic and having people under her control. Plus Mother encouraged her to be like that as one of her favourites. I am more of a social creature and prefer to social manipulate those around me to get my dominance."

"Do I need to worry about that?" Ellen asks Maeryn.

"Only if you become part of my court or otherwise important," answers Maeryn, "No offence, but the only reason we have anything to do with each other is because you are friends with Tamara and know about us being all magical."

"It is a kind of rude, but not untrue," replies Ellen with a sigh, "I just do telephones all day."

"You are pretty boring and unimportant," agrees Maeryn.

"What happened to you being the social one?" demands Tamara as she glowers at her half-sister.

"I am being honest and open," replies Maeryn, "I figured that the humans would appreciate it over being manipulated."

"I do prefer honesty to be manipulated," admits Ellen, "I could do without the rudeness. So, what do you do Maeve?"

"I mostly manage my Realm," answers Maeryn, "I don't spend too much time in my human identity, mostly to go to social events and to do any necessary stuff to keep my cover intact. Being human world is more something I do as a break from my actual work and I want to give myself a challenge. I find it fun keeping all of my underlings in line and making sure that my subjects are happy with my reign. Actually, ruling the Realm is pretty boring, all numbers and reports. Oh, it looks like the others are done."

As Maeryn has pointed out, Moira and Lydia are done inspecting the chairs of the shop and are making their way back over.

"We found some excellent chairs," declares Lydia in a happy voice, "Moira brought the cheapest and with the rest, she is going transform our old chairs."

"It is no trouble on my end and I do like to use my magic," says Moira before glancing at Tamara, "Especially since I am limited in how I am allowed to use magic here."

"Oh please, it isn't like you follow all of my rules," replies Tamara with a roll of her eyes as she crosses her arms, "If you brought a chair, where has it gone?"

"Dimensional storage and I keep to the spirit of the agreement," answers Moira, "And I follow the spirit of them. I only use magic on people when they knowingly agree to it with the exception of people who have it coming."

"How would we avoid having it coming to us?" asks Ellen nervously while Tamara snorts in disapproval at her sister's justification.

"Breaking into my property, stealing my stuff, attacking me or my employees and groping me or otherwise touching in a manner I don't like," Moira tells her, "As long as you don't wrong me, you'll be fine. Besides, I only transform them for a few hours and they don't remember it when they turn back. It is basically a time out for doing something wrong."

"I wish I could give a time out to people who grope me," says Lydia, ignoring the looks that Tamara and Ellen give Moira.

"I could-" starts Moira before cutting herself off at the glare that Tamara gives here, "Geez Tam, you don't need to be struck up about this."

"Given what you would do if I didn't, I feel that I do," counters Tamara, "Anyway, cut out the transformation talk. I know it is your thing Moira, but everyone here is staying as a woman tonight."

"Everyone stays a woman," promises Moira and Tamara sighs as she knows that is the best she is going to get out of her sister.

"My boss treats me okay," says Lydia before taking another swing of her beer, "But Phil doesn't want to drive away customers by making a fuss if they get a little handsy. If they get plenty handsy, sure, he'll kick them out which is better than plenty of places I could work at, but it isn't great ya know?"

"Sounds like a pain," says Moira sympathetically, "I could never deal with that sort of stuff."

"I bet your princess arse couldn't deal with it," agrees Lydia, "I would like to see you try my job."

"Hmm, perhaps we could arrange that," muses Moira while Tamara watches the two chat away as she sips her glass of water from the next table over.

"Tamara," says Ellen as she returns with another glass, "Do you mind if I ask about Lydia?"

"If you are wanting why her figure and hair have increased in length, it is a deal between her and Moira," answers Tamara as she glances over at Lydia, where her normally short hair currently reaches down to her butt whilst her figure is curvier than Tamara's at the moment, "Moira figured out that she could just pay Lydia to let her transform her or in this case, enchanting her body to transform in a certain way when she ingest alcohol. It will wear off in the morning and Lydia was happy with the twin payment of coin and not having a hangover in the morning."

"Not having a hangover in the morning sounds really attractive," muses Ellen as she takes a seat next to Tamara, "Do you think I could get that for myself?"

"Sure, but there would be a price," warns Tamara, "The Fair Folk never do anything for free. With Moira, she is going to cast magic on you because she likes that control over others. Maeve would just make you do a favour in the future and she has enough skill in magic to do the same if you don't want to end up like your sister."

"I'll think about it," says Ellen, "I assume no one noticing them or what we've talking about is more your sister's magic?"

"Yes," confirms Tamara, "Unless another magic user breaches the ward, everyone will think what we are talking about is normal or they will hear us say something mundane instead. You want to ask something Ellen?"

"A few things about fairy life," replies Ellen as she glances her sister before turning her attention back to Tamara, "So transforming, what is that like?"

"Trying to figure out whether to go to Moira or Maeve?" inquires Tamara and Ellen nods, "It varies from person to person and the nature of the transformation. I am a natural shapeshifter. I love to transform into different animals and women but being male is just unpleasant to me so I avoid that. I don't mind mental changes, but it is a rare occasion that I want one. I hate being turned into an object, but that is more due to being unable to move or do anything.

That is just me. Sapphire Squire is different to me. She is okay with transformations, but to a lesser degree than me. She doesn't mind as long as she retains her gender and humanoid form. She doesn't like the idea of being an animal and being an object is even less appealing to her. My squire also absolutely hates the idea of having her mind altered and to this date, she has yet to undergo any mental changes."

"So how do you find out which ones do or don't like?" asks Ellen.

"Natural aversion or trying it out," answers Tamara, "Lydia seems to be enjoying herself, but that just might be the alcohol talking. Given her current size, I say she has consumed enough that she may not even realise that the changes are there."

"It is safe right?" asks Ellen as she looks thoughtfully at Lydia.

"It will all wear off in the morning alongside the other changes," Tamara reassures Ellen, "Lydia will be fine."

"Actually, I was thinking that if I am going to have a night out with a powerful magic lady, I might as well make the most of it," says Ellen, "Trying new things is the spice of life and not having a hangover tomorrows sounds awfully nice. Give me a moment to speak with Moira and then I want to ask you some more stuff. Okay?"

"Sure," replies Tamara, writing this off as a young human lady deciding to be adventurous with her first experiences with magic.

After all, Sapphire Squire acted similarly with magic when she was first discovering it with the girl being very eager to try new things provided she didn't find them too abnormal. Others have been indifferent. Inspector Brown preferred to stay away from magic unless he could use it to catch criminals while Gareth found it to be a curiosity that he was indifferent to for the most part and Onyx Squire has made use of it, but lacks any special interest in it.

"I'm back," declares Ellen as she returns, looking both excited and pleased, "Okay, I really want to ask you about beauty for fairies."

"Anything in particular?" inquires Tamara as Ellen retakes her seat.

"Well, Moira and Maeve seemed to be pleased with how they look even if they don't look pretty by modern standards," says Ellen, "I do my best to look good, but your sisters don't seem to agree with that."

"Hmm, I understand what you are asking about," replies Tamara, "I should say that what counts as beauty amongst the Fair Folk changes on a whim. The latest beauty fashions might last a few days or a century. Right now, Sapphire Squire is setting the standards thanks to my sisters and her own actions. You see, Moira mistook my squire for my lover so she decided to surprise me by giving me a body based off what she heard Sapphire Squire looked like. Moira didn't to keep that body in different colours for her human identity and then Maeve did the same so that combined with how Sapphire Squire is that exotic and famous, my squire is setting the current beauty trends within the Kingdom of the Faeries."

"Huh, that is different," replies Ellen, "Wait, a moment...your lover?"

"Moira mistook her for an adult and assumed that we were romantically involved," explains Tamara, "I can't blame her for that because Sapphire Squire does look like an adult and she is my type."

"Wait, wait, wait, you would...oh, right, fairies," says Ellen as she gives Tamara an odd look, "I sometimes forget that you are half-fairy since you act so human."

"Don't worry about it, you are hardly the only one that does that," says Tamara, "Now, a tall curvy lady who embraces being a woman is the current trend amongst the Fair Folk thanks to Sapphire Squire and my sisters setting the trend. I personally don't embrace as I prefer to be more pragmatic, but I can hardly disapprove of people realising that my squire is a young beauty."

"That explains why your sister is so eager to transform us," mutters Ellen, "Speaking of which, should this feel normal? Because I could swear I am bigger in...certain places and my hair is definitely longer than it should be yet I feel like nothing has changed."

"That would because Moira is an expert so she makes sure that her transformations don't result in body dysphoria for her targets," explains Tamara, "Your mind is adjusted to fit your new form. But in this case, I suspect beauty has little to do with Moira's choice of transformations. My squire wears her hair long and has full curves while you and Lydia are flat with short hair. Knowing my sister, Moira is taking the chance to make some changes that she isn't normally able to make. I presume that isn't all that you wanted to ask?"

"Nah, while I do have some more questions about magic, I want to ask about other stuff," says Ellen, "Like how women are treated amongst the fairies. Given I've only met you and your sisters, I may not be getting an accurate representation of what things are like, but your people seem a lot more okay with women doing stuff."

"They are," confirms Tamara, "Gender, age and other stuff things are less of a concern amongst the Fair Folk. Power and status matter more than such things, especially since they are...inconsistent for a lack of a better word. Species, gender, age are generally fixed here, but back home, they...well, take me as an example. I have a consistent gender, but appearance, age and even my species is variable within limits. Said limits to be limited to mundane forms and features for my shapeshifting and for age, I cannot seem to be too young or too old through I have yet to figure out the precise limits. If there are even precise limits as magic can be weird like that."

"That sort of makes sense," says Ellen in a tone that leads Tamara to believe that she only half-understood it, "So fairies treat men and women equally well?"

"In a manner of speaking," replies Tamara cautiously, "I would argue it is more that men and women are treated equally badly. Don't judge my people or even my sisters by how they acting here. For lack of better term, they are on good behaviour and if you were in the Kingdom of the Faeries, you would be at their complete mercy. I don't know what Maeve would do, but I know that Moira feels that Lydia would fit nicely into her stables as a horse and you would make for an authentic Indian dancer."

"So, when Moira offered to pay me and Lydia in exchange for letting her transform us..." starts Ellen nervously.

"You'll be fine so long as you remain in the human world and don't agree to anything stupid," Tamara reassures her housemate, "Moira would only keep you transformed for a short period of time and wouldn't do anything to negatively impact on your life, at least not intentionally."

"I got it," says Ellen, "So with your gender equality amongst the fairies, how interested do you think your sisters would be in bringing about the same here."

"They wouldn't be interested in your feminism business," Tamara answers promptly, "Neither of them care for that sort of thing since they are powerful rulers back home and frankly, neither of them cares about humanity. That said, you may be able to entice Maeve. Just Moira's hobby is magic, Maeve's is social affairs and that would be what this sort of thing is. She likes a good challenge and enlisting her aid would be as simple as selling the matter as a difficult social project to her."

"Hmm, it would be good to enlist the help of someone like her," muses Ellen, "I don't suppose I could interest you?"

"As before, I am busy with other evils," replies Tamara with a slightly shake of her head, "Perhaps in the future, but for now, I have my own battles to fight."

"And aren't we all grateful for that," says Ellen as she glances down at her empty glass, "Wait a moment, I am going to get another one.

I've been meaning to write this side-story for a while, but it kept getting away from me. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out. Moira ended up dominating things which in hindsight was hard to avoid given her personality. Attempting to write Moira as I envision her results in her doing her best overshadow others in order to assert her personality. Another

The first of the interludes that I got planned, this one was interesting because it is my latest attempt to touch a more civilian side of things and social interactions. I'm not entirely happy with it and despite my intentions, I feel I ended up showing more fey stuff than human stuff.

Chonologically, it takes place before Fairy Knight joins the Kingsmen.

Please point out any spelling or grammar mistakes that you spot. Please quote them in the thread and explain what you think is wrong so I know what you are referring to. Feel to ask questions for more details and information.

Ah the opportunities that pass by.
It would be amusing if the girls got Maeve's aid, still learning about fay stuff is quite interesting.
