So,
Quest Update + Ni and Ichi scene finding no one =Happy Lord Marshal
Happy Lord Marshal --->Happy Rant (As i "promised")
Therefore, here it comes the first hopeful rant! Much more experimental(Not a study of a character, but what effect a particular action have on many people) and as always i could be wrong, especially with this one.
Of course , question corner!
@Crystalwatcher
Three questions.
1)Who would the Counter Force pair with White Soul to control her(In case she survives of course)? Gold/White is to important to use as a leash and few people can be a danger to White Soul in case she decided to go cray-cray again.
2)How much of White Soul actions in the catacomb were thanks to the command seals?(To explain better, how much different White Soul would have acted without the command seal?)EDIT:
Wait...did i already ask this? i truly don't remember...if so sorry.
3) It's still possible for use to find out why White Soul went crazy-er than normal? She doesn't really seems type to share.
As always, sorry for any grammatical error or formatting errors in the rant...doing my best
Team Gear - The Oath of the Unworthy
The Miracle denied to the common, taken by force by ones that should have died.
A rant by Lord Marshal of the consequences that Team GEAR survival had to morale of the Counter Force
N.B As always this is all my opinion and so on, you know the drill.
This world is without a doubt a world of miracles.
Empires were made by miracles, saved by miracles and destroyed by miracles.
Living beings whose mere existence denied the whims of fate didn't simply exist, but fought and lead their lesser, giving hope where common sense said there was none.
Gabriel is one of such beings: a mere false angels, a counterfeit made of prayers that should have folded like paper when confronted by the harshness of the real world.
A world that didn't listen to prayers.
But she did.
She took the world and broke it's rules, not once or twice, but as many times as it was necessary.
But she was not alone, hundreds...no,
thousands upon thousands of such beings exist or have existed in this everlasting war, defying fate itself.
Red Rose, The Goddesses, Gabriel, Sixth Heaven, The Dark Lord.....Solid Core.
Magical Girls and strong demons for more tame examples.
You can't plan around them, you can't fight them.
They exist, and brings with them situations that normal people can't even imagine, even less create.
Miracles in short.
...
But even in such a world, not everyone can wield such powers.
Especially humankind.
This the is the price humankind paid for the Magical Girls, capable of matching and surpassing the greatest of Unified Light and Unified Darkness.
A world were the ones that can wield miracles are powerful, but the common people that can only watch, knowing that such feats are impossible for them.
This is the reality of the Counter Force, the reality that any human soldier feel in their skins and bones.
A human soldier cannot grow behind his limits without technology, and human technology cannot help his soldiers to attain miracles.
But what does it means?
In short it means that Humans soldier are powerless.
Not in
practical sense of course: Humans are powerful with their technology and tactics, albeit few in numbers.
But every human know painfully that they cannot do
more.
Their will, their fury, will amount to nothing more than they bullets they fire.
They cannot bring forth a miracle, for only the chosen ones like Magical Girls can realize the impossible.
Isn't it frustrating?
Not only for them, but for all the other races that simply cannot grow to that point, destined to simply die in front of the ones that can.
But this is simply the reality, and nor jealousy nor rage will change the situation.
Therefore the only things to do is to die bravely, knowing that somewhere, other such monsters are on your side.
This is without a doubt that everyone in the UL thought.
"A normal person, be it fairy of human or elf, simply cannot defeat those monsters"
Frustration becomes desperation, desperation becomes sadness, and sadness becomes acceptance.
Acceptance of the inherent limits that not everyone can surpass.
And so the soldiers of the Unified Light fought and die, saved by miracles and killed by miracles.
Until now.
Until team GEAR.
Until people that by all means
should have died survived against impossible odds.
This isn't big, it's simply impossible.
No human should survive a monster like Goddess Grey, or Red or White or Maidens or the numerous monsters they fought and defeated.
But they did.
Team GEAR showed the world the most fundamental truth of current the battlefield is false.
Monsters can be beaten, not with sheer number or other monster, by simple brave souls.
Miracles can be brought forth even by the common people, by humans soldiers without magic, by newborn Angels and fairies and elves.
And now words are traveling, like an hurricane, from person to person, carving a single message in every soldier of the UL, making their owns souls tremble.
You can win.
You! Common person without powers, can win against such monsters!
Bring forth a miracle with your own two hands!
You don't need to be Gabriel! You don't need to be a Magical Girl!
Fight! Win! Don't surrender to them, because as small as it is, you.have.a.chance.
What will happen when the Old Guard will return to the battlefield, and the newest victory of team GEAR will be known to everyone?
Team GEAR did something more important than any victory they could achieve, they killed the myth of the "untouchable monsters" in imagination of the UL rank and files.
Not for much of course.
Sooner of later the reality of war will return, squashing this newfound hope of the common people.
But with team GEAR winning battle after battle, and the final confrontation in sight....
The second battle of hope won't find legions of resigned soldiers, that believe from the bottom of theirs heart that miracles aren't something they can reach, that the champions of the UD will kill them without fail if it weren't for their own champions.
They will find a legion of soldier ready to fight, tooth and nail, against fate, against common sense, against those invincible monster that people call "Heroes" or "Champions".
Maybe other people, lesser people, would not.
If front of such minuscule chance, that would realistically never apply to them, they would still surrender to despair and lose hope.
They are not team GEAR, and dying with a false hope is much more painful.
But the soldier of the UL are not lesser men or women.
They stand at the precipice of darkness, after an everlasting war and so many losses that
did break heroes and champions.
And they fight, weary as they are, hurts as they are.
Rome didn't stop them.
Hope didn't stop them.
Rexulus didn't stop them.
As painful as it is to hope, they will take the hope that Team GEAR showed them and will use it.
Because isn't exactly what they did until now? Fighting a losing war with the faith that their sacrifice it's not meaningless?
And...
You know....sometimes, to kill a monster, the only thing you need is a person that doesn't surrender to despair, that fight even against the impossible with a single thought on his mind.
I can do it.
I can win.
Even against
Gods.
---------------------------------------------------
Yes, they are augmented by the Solid Core, but people don't know that, and surely the UL is smart enough to recognize propaganda material
No, a normal soldier will never defeat someone like Grey, but there are many people between "normal person" and "Ichi Mitsubishi".
Those Dark Magical Girl can, with luck, skill and circumstances, be defeated by a simple soldier that instead of dying decide to reach for the impossible.(And dozens of dead soldiers and destroyed tanks, but let's not sweat the details
)
Or a soldier that instead of letting a Magical Girl do her job, help her at the crucial moment.
Maybe, or i'm completely wrong and there is still nothing that can be done against the low-level champions of the UD.
