[X] Plan Final Battle
-[X] Send Aquila and James back to the barricades carrying Grey Champion. Check and see if Insight wants to go with them.
-[X] Try to strategize while you look for White Soul. Just because your battles have been easy so far, that doesn't mean this one will be.
No. of Votes: 10

[x] Plan Consult With the Expert
-[x] Talk to the others, especially Red Rose, about what we're doing next. Some points to potentially touch on:
--[x] Whom to send out with Grey.
--[x] We expect to fight White Soul. Confirm with Red that we'll be fighting to kill. Note options, including having Goddess Gold glass the place; letting her fight White Soul alone while others either hang back, flee, or continue searching; and retrieving people we already sent back (Brilliant Key in particular) or taking the time to refresh our buffs (possibly on everyone, possibly just on Solid Core and Solid Drive, because they can get there and back quickly).
--[x] Somebody set up that brand craft barrier. Was that something Grey knew how to do? If so, what else could she have made that she might have given to someone else? If not, who/what is likely to have been responsible, and what other nasty surprises might we expect from them? (In particular, is there anything which White Soul is likely to use if it's available?)
--[x] What kinds of tactics does White Soul prefer?
--[x] Do we need to focus on preventing ambushes, or do we expect a direct challenge?
--[x] If White Soul is willing to fight Red Rose, she's probably either even crazier than we already know, or thinks she can at least avoid losing. What do we do if she's right, and she manages not to die to Red Rose? If she brings both bodies here we can kill her (via Goddess Gold if nothing else), but if she manages to stick to one, there aren't many other possibilities. Could we provoke her into recklessness?
-[x] Whatever we decide is the best immediate course of action—whom to send out, whether to pause for buffs, etc.—do it.

whats the difference between Sudden Death at Level 40 and Level 1 (or whatever level it got Auto Kill, if it didn't start with it)?
I assume that it took many levels for it to reach Auto-Kill. It probably started with something much weaker than that. The earliest I can really imagine it obtaining Auto-Kill is level 20.

Also, the level would be quite relevant against defensive abilities that are mechanically similar to Men Kill Heroes (that one affects Abilities rather than Spells though).

This.

A low-level attack whose only selling point is a powerful ability is in more danger of being overcome than a similar ability at higher level.

Madam Morte's Auto Kill, despite being an Epic spell would be trivially easy to block in comparison.

After this, I think we can all agree that Team Gear needs to to wind down. Sam has a bunch of XP to spend, and I for one want to see what his upgraded spells can do. Plus, Gabriel's upgrades should be fairly impressive as well

I figure we can do the Pale Light of the Moon mission to pick up some extra XP for the party and possibly show off Sam's upgraded spells during the next day, then spend it training so we don't accidentally destroy anything we don't want to. Thoughts?

I doubt anyone else is in any condition to do another mission anyway.
Which mission to take next is... not really a priority concern right now though, so we should wait until we come back to the mission select before actually looking at those closely.
Training sounds... good, especially because the PB gets another Upgrade. However, I would rather not spend more than one action on training.
Aside from that, we should remember to talk about team Abilities with Uni (maybe have a joint training session with her?).

Have to wonder how much recovering all these magical girls have strengthened the Light?
Depends how fit they will be for combat duty.

But its definitely at least significant enough of an action to affect the war's balance of power. Pretty sure that its at least as significant of a change as bringing back Goddess White. None of them are as powerful as her, but they can be in more places at once.

Hard to say. I expect most of them will find some pressing matter to attend to. There's a good chance they'll swoop in for Answerer, but we're unlikely to see more than one or two sticking around (I'm hoping Silver Hero myself).

Complicating matters is if they'll be intervening in situations before the Counter Force has to take notice or getting tied up in unimportant (to us) events.

Just as a reminder:
Silver Hero's shtick was her pure magical damage output. She could readily take multiple spells from several of her allies, and promptly use them in such a way that is better than their original users.

And:
Celestial Severance
-A One-Hit linear attack that obliterates everything in it's path.
Level 15
Base Damage: 819,200
Magic Modifier: 400
Affinity: Purity | Divinity
Ability: Unstoppable | Prime Evil Slayer | Double Cast | Echo

Starshine
-Watch the sky fall.
Level 15
Base Damage: 2,246
Magic Modifier: N/A
Affinity: Purity | Divinity
Ability: Rain of Light | Prime Evil Slayer | Quadra-Magic | Target: Army

I thought you wanted to get the collateral under control though?

I do not actually want to level up the PB in the first place. With how it was described, getting this under control would probably take two actions at least, if not more.
And I am not sure we have that many to spend in a single day.

Edit: To clarify: I mean I do not think we should spend that many.

Is their a way to spend experience to get less collateral?
That takes time and practice, not EXP.
If we get Silver Hero to come with us, things would get... interesting.
Just as a reminder:

And:
While that's true, think about how many fun spells she has in her spell list by now. And then combine it with this.
Fractal Synchronization
-Solid Core is capable of aligning her Attack Spells with those of her allies in order to Synchronize them and create newer, stronger spells. If an ally has a Core Connection, multiply the Synchronization Result by Thirty.

Calamity Circuit
-Full power from The ??? Core. Nepgear's Spell limit has been removed.
Although by far the best thing of all we could learn from Silver Hero is our own Intercept spell.

If we can get that, and keep that spell at a low level, we no longer have any need to get the Purifier Beam under control, because we can just use that spell instead when we need something weaker :V

A note for people voting for the Plan Upgrade EXP plan: buying more levels of ICORE is not merely completely useless for fighting White Soul (see Uber's post), it's actively unhelpful, because it increases the damage we would take from a Negative Space'd Segarite Core (sure, it also increases Core Purge damage, but it already does plenty). This means that it would burn through our already-accumulated Health faster (the effect on Health we accumulate after this would be the same: one turn to get rid of one turn's worth of Segarite Core). Not that this matters, since the fight will be over before it does much either way, but still. Absolutely no justification for making the purchase now instead of after the White Soul fight if you still want it.

Also, we're expecting to be indoors. What do you think and extra six levels of Flight will do, especially since we're already faster than anyone but Sega? (Also note White Soul's lack of any High Speed Combat Ability.) And being indoors means that Celestial Severance can either be used as a laser or as a way to bring the building down, and not much else.

I should also remind people that we were planning on doing training, and in particular doing Synchronize training, and expecting to get new Spells. We want some EXP available—enough to, say, pump our two favorite new Spells to Level 15 (2100). Plus having a buffer for emergencies.

Regarding collateral damage: getting that under control is essential. A Level 17 Purifier Beam would have 12,921 Base Damage, which is more than Angel WEAPON's maximum damage, MM included. And Angel WEAPON cut a building in half with a weapon which only has Collateral Damage. I'm honestly not sure that upgrading the PB would be useful for fighting White Soul; it may just destroy the building uncontrollably and get in Red Rose's way. Probably not that bad, but I can see it not being very helpful.

If we can get that, and keep that spell at a low level, we no longer have any need to get the Purifier Beam under control, because we can just use that spell instead when we need something weaker :V
It's been suggested. But there are disadvantages: firing Spells is a bit more of a discrete action than waving a gunblade around, normal Intercepts don't take up APT but the spell would, some people have Spell Immunity, and we (probably) couldn't substitute the Spell in various things which normally use the PB, like Skilled or Supremacy Zone, at least not without a lot of practice.

Also, training takes two actions, and we get ten per day with missions taking 1–2. We should therefore have three or four actions left today after we're done with this mission (we had five after UNIFIER DRIVE), and time for a few training sessions tomorrow, even if we also take a mission. Yes, we also want to spend actions on social, but I consider not killing people by accident to be an essential social skill.

Things have gotten quiet. Let's fix that, shall we?

Let's Get This Party Started
Level 5
-At the beginning of each turn, all allies gain an additional Attack Per Turn. This buff stacks up to (Ability Level) times.

No Sour Notes, Please
-Symphonic Conductor and her allies are immune to the negative effects of being overhealed, and at the end of a battle, automatically vent any excess health.

Music Soothes The Savage Beast
-When Symphonic Conductor casts Joy To The World on an ally, she removes any negative mental modifiers, including Sanity Damage.

Auto Rhythm
Level 15
-Every attack aimed at Symphonic Conductor must roll a 1d100 (Difficulty: 15) in order to land a hit. Any attack that fails this roll grants Symphonic Conductor a free counter attack against the source.

Practitioner
-Allows the creation and upgrading of Spells.

I decided to go mainly with support on Symphonic Conductor here. Yes, she is capable of dealing some damage in her own, but she's best placed where she can heal her allies and protecting them. While her spells may not boost her allies' damage, 5 extra attacks for each person can really add up.
