Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

So, Feels aside, we have 376 exp. to spend, so I went and had a look at what's in the shop

Armored Core: Steel
-150xp
Improves Armored Core Ability.
The first next step to get the bullshit damage reduction levels the really powerful MGs have. As it stands, Armored Core negates all damage below 5% our total health and reduces the damage that does pass through by 5%. That's puny, but this upgrade might be just what it takes to make this ability jump in effectiveness

Severance: Echo
-250xp
Adds Echo Ability to Celestial Severance.
I does Something. Something good, obviously, and we do want to increase our attack power until we can one-shot the mooks, so it might be a good idea to invest on this.

Applied Teachings
-200xp
Reduces melee Skill modifier.
I'm not quite sure what exactly this does. I guess it reduces the penalty on Melee attacks we have? Well, it might be useful enough, if expensive.

No Longer Human
-150xp
Unlocks Ability: No Longer Human. Grants Damage Reduction.
Want. Definitely want. Survivability is king, after all, and who cares about the exact composition of our body, anyway?

Reequip: ????
-500xp
Improve Team equipment.

I suppose we could bank our Exp and buy this so our squad gets less squishy. This is either the kind of equipment they give to Elite MG support squads or the prototype of the Technology to strengthen normal humans so they can fight more effectively that is "above our clearance level". My feels tell me to buy this as soon as possible so disasters like this are less likely to happen, but the munchkin in me tells me to just make Anastasia Nepgear stronger as fast as possible.

We can also improve our base stats, upgrade Celestial Severance or the Purifier Beam.

I'm thinking about buying No Longer Human and Armored Core: Steel so we can take a hit and not be Almost Dead like last time, but it might be better to upgrade our firepower so we can reliably take down the mooks and have a fighting chance against Lieutenant Level enemies.
What do you guys think?

Celestial Severance will start giving returns really quickly. It doubles its attack ever level up. So we could get it to 1600 Atk on 120XP, still leaving a nice chunk to upgrade with say getting No Longer Human or Steel Core and maybe banking the rest for the other one for a few updates? If we do bump.

I suppose we could go with two upgrade to CS and get both, but I want to break that thousand damage cap. Could also upgrade our Purifier a couple of times with the first method.

Three upgrades to Celestial Severance, enough to reach 1600 damage, would cost 120 exp, leaving 256. Enough for either Severance: Echo, or one of the Damage Reduction abilities and a couple boosts on something else.

I'm leaning towards three levels in CS, Armored Core: Steel and two levels on Purifier Beam. Plenty of Firepower, along with an upgrade to our damage reduction.

We could also skip the upgrades to Purifier Beam and buy four more levels of Core Containment, which should increase our Health.

[X] Mourn with them both

[X] Purchase
-[X] 3 levels of Celestial Severance
-[X] Severance: Echo

I think that it's time to upgrade our main offensive spell again, and I want to find out what the Echo will do.

You know, I'm seriously wondering why Red and Grey defected.

Some dark secret the Counter Force and their allies are trying to hide? Betrayed by their ideals? Rei fucked up and they want revenge on her and everyone close to her? Chaos managed to tempt and corrupt them? there are so many possible reasons...

*raises hand* By which you mean that you're going to present something which'll add enough shades of gray to the situation to make choosing either side theoretically IC, so that you may harvest the maximum amount of voter tears from us. I'm on to you.
Nope. I'm planning on having you in tears as you kill the Dragon and have you frothing at the mouth when you come to the final boss.
