That was just beautiful. Mr. Hendrick is simply the best goddamned neighbor.

Ammy better get lots belly rubs and Sake bottles out of this Divine Intervention.

No one ever gives the Simurgh belly pats :(
Now we know why she and her brother always destroy cities every other month. They're throwing tantrums because they don't get belly rubs and head pats.

I think this is one of the first Danny's I've ever liked besides Gumshoe. Go Mr. Hebert! Slaughter the thine daughter's enemies with the power of knowing people in high places! Like Sophia, that's a great place to start.

Ahahahaha, the feelings of not only he was wrong about doubting her but the neighbor is better father than him.

That should put a fire under him.

Being the noble and brave hero that I am, I would be willing to walk up to the naked beauty and rub her belly all she wants.

Unfortunately, that's kinda difficult when only one of us can fly, and only one of us is capable and willing to smear the other all over the pavement for existing.
Making the offer is also a bit troublesome when only one side of the conversation bothers to talk. Or listen, for that matter.

"I know that less than an hour ago, he was accusing my daughter of being a drug-addicted gang member while covering for his own daughter's attacks on mine, then threatened to sue me into poverty when I protested. He only stopped when he was threatened with disbarment for dishonest conduct."

Velocity stopped chewing his granola bar. He swallowed, carefully. "...maybe we should go see Armsmaster. And the Director. They're going to want to hear this."

Danny did not smile-- he showed his teeth. "Gladly."
This was EPIC. Now I think on it, there aren't nearly enough fics where Danny triggers, or where Alan Barnes gets what's coming to him. I can't recall off hand whether him working in the same law firm as Brandish is canon, but him getting tossed out on his ear there once word gets around would be awesome.

Excuse me? That's both inaccurate and insensitive. Also, it's 'induced'.
Sorry, was using it as a catch-all term, and did not mean to offend. My older brother has Asperger's so I can get why saying it so flippantly would be offensive. To used to not having to watch what I say over on anonkun.

Knew that there just had to be a reason why the couple kept appearing other than moral support and helping. Ammy always be gets her belly rubs and sake, Taylor will always be there to help.

With the endbringers, we're gonna need to have some giant robots for their belly rubs and head pats then. They might not feel a cape doing it unless said cape is a brute after all.

Confrontation and people who care help. A lot.

I don't see anything for Danny to be getting a yes for.............he pretty much hung Taylor out to dry until a stranger verified what she just said.
Danny is useless as a father, I bet he doesn't miss a thing at the job but can't be bothered to take care of his own kid. Danny is a deadbeat father.

His first action was to suspect Taylor first. Jesus Danny.:facepalm:

I still think that QA may be messing with his head, but I haven't really seen any evidence in how he talks or thinks to support that enough to bother making an argument out of it, so he may just be a tad inept.

Eh, the scene leaves a lot of things ambiguous, and it is the gaps that make me wonder how much we should like this Danny. For one thing, we miss the scene where Danny tells Taylor that they have to meet about the Emma scene (I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he did actually explain what they were meeting about, rather than just springing it on her) so we don't know if he actually listened to her side of the story. From what she said about him never listening and the reaction he had to the two Asian kids, I am guessing that he didn't and instead played the clueless, 'my kid is turning out wrong and I won't stop to think if I could have contributed to this or if the information I am hearing is wrong' card.

Second, we miss what happened after the neighbor yelled at everyone. Danny says that he 'thinks' he had a fight with Taylor, so I assume that he never apologized for not listening, and I doubt that they really even talked it through. That last scene gives the impression that instead of talking it out with his daughter, getting more information and actually learning from this incident, he decides to take out his anger and frustration on Shadowstalker due to some nebulous connection to Alan; worse, he doesn't seem to know that Shadowstalker is actually Sophia, one of the girls bullying his daughter, so he doesn't even realize that she deserves it.

I really wish we got to see these scenes, as I feel like we are left with this imperfect image of what happened and where it left Danny and Taylor in relation to each other.

TL;DR - I would like to see Danny actually sit down and do something that qualifies as good parenting with Taylor before cheering him on.
