Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

So. When will Joe and the Forge discover that the PRT think he and the rest of the Forge are a Cluster?

So many unique possibilities there with how he decides to sell it.

Honestly, if Joe tries to deny the theory, what are the odds that even works? Even if he goes to the extent of saying 'oh we triggered at different times' I feel like the response would be 'oh god he personally customized the cluster'

Very true. But then NOT using the Cluster explanation would mean coming out with the fact he has three AI, one a Nanotech swarm, the other Skynet, the other a Super Terminator who can move at the speed of sound...

Well, using the Cluster explanation would be a nice cover for those three.

3 main options:
1) AAA CLUSTER
2) AAAA EVEN WORSE CLUSTER
3)AAAAAAAAAAAA

Honestly given that the theory comforts the PRT somewhat by finally having an explanation for Apeiron's nonsense - even if it's a terrifying theory, all things said - Joe would probably let them convince themselves that it is true, up until the explanation ceases to be enough again. It's not like the PRT believing it works against him, if anything people believing that the Celestial Forge is a close cluster might dissuade them from acting against any one particular member of the Forge for fear of provoking the entire group. If it gives him one less thing to be concerned about, then why mess with what works?

Apeiron should double down and claim that every member of the Celestial Forge is an unchained Para-AI, himself included. Mayhaps even claim that they're refugees from a portal wherein a zombie swarm overran the earth.

Looking forward to a PHO reaction to the news of the Celestial Forge! I imagine the average civilian might be freaking out.

Same with the Brigade and Wards from other cities who had no idea of Apeiron getting a team.

The Wards are aware the team exists, it's referenced in the recent Missy interlude-though it being a complete shock is hilarious, but a bad idea for the Protectorate RN

if you ever give him knowledge of time travel it better be named "Wibbly-Wobbly", "Timey-Wimey" or some combination/butcherisation of the original quote

Joe does have one time travel perk he can get - it's from the Terminator universe and is called "Damaged Microchip". Basically he can do non-paradox time loops. It's one of two original 800 point perks (the biggest point count perk in the Forge).

There are no Dr Who perks in the Forge and none on the horizon.

Because Devil messages is not enough?

To be fair Hell isn't necessarily another universe, for all Joe knows Hell has always been where souls from Earth Bet go when they die. He doesn't know it's specifically Hell from Fallen London which is an alternate universe.

Joe has become fairly good at selective focus and selective memory.

I doubt that he wants to remember that he is receiving the equivalent of demonic gifts of chocolate and wine from Hell along with a "Thinking of you" card.

Textbooks from an technologically advanced world populated by humans, however, are something that he can appreciate.

if it gives universal internet essentially does that mean if he gets nothing humans are the only species in his universe or likely only sapient species?

I suspect that the rule is that if the local internet connects on an interplanetary scale, his does too. If the local internet is limited to Earth, and has no connection to the internet used by the multi-galactic Holy Ewok Arbor Principality (Praise be his shinyness, Lord C-3PO), then he is still limited to Earth… until he pops up to space and visits a HEAP tree-ship, whereupon he would probably find himself connected to their network, but might find himself temporarily disconnected from Earth's.

And it probably depends on the definition of "information network". Because, squinting slightly, the Shard Network might count…

Probably just Shaker as Aisha practices it, Striker would require her to attain more speed as @Squamous Deity mentioned.

Trump - I don't see that at all, except maaaybe if she goes into chimera manufacturing and slams two (or more) parahumans together. I suppose it is possible that she could transplant the corona into another person, but that's like, way way way down the line.

Well, waaay down the line in BCF chapters, but in terms of in story time? Like, three or four days? Considering that she's learned all of this under the subjective-time-altering effects of the the VR-soul-space training environment in like a few hours of real time, I really can't see it taking much more time to learn striker-style transmutation (a-La Scar) or even "forbidden" alchemy like chimeric transmutation (which the hardest part was keeping them sane). She can already do most "battle alchemy" as hinted at in this chapter, and that's not even covering what can be accomplished using talismans or aids (like Roy's gloves, or that one girls "super-heat-air-into-plasma" necklace).
