They have likely caused a few heart attacks already in the Starbound party and the space Treasury personnel just by them being amazed by the new possibilities now possible.

Ugh... the war is causing problems and will probably have lasting consequences in the future.

Tiberium decided to avoid all the hassle and run deep and silent. That's a big problem.

Projects are proceeding. Many completed. Military did very well.

Have to see what next turn brings. Hopefully not too many repair projects.

Need to keep plugging at the mega projects.

Maybe finish the last phase of alloys as that specifically helps tib mining.

TBH I was expecting worse.
Underground Tib has been untouched for decades except for our minor borehole mining.
Once we roll out the rest of the inhibitors and start targetting underground Tib properly, the biggest problem will be filling in the holes.

I think we might have to leave Isolinear Chips at Phase 2 and pivot to Nuuk Phase 4 for the necessary robotics. We'll have to tank the labor costs.

Space Pops seems to be ticking along okay, and with the magical rings I'm guessing we don't need Free dice in Orbital.

"Launching into the first steps of a proper, planetary scale reforestation effort has been a massive project. In many places the soil has degraded so severely that even key minerals had to be reintroduced to the lithosphere before lichen and mosses could be established. But much progress has been made in a single year, wetlands stabilizing, vast fields of grass and reeds wave across what used to be sun blasted and wind blown wastes, shrubberies finding purchase and shelter in these pleasantly verdant seas, plants herbaceous and not have offered a wide selection of smells to those that live close enough.

"But now comes the work that was all a precursor for. Tree nurseries across GDI territory have been growing native trees for the past year and a half, ready to be planted. It is a small number, relative to the size of the task at hand, but even at its most ambitious this project was never intended to fully reclaim the Earth on its own, a mere precursor for what was meant to come. Politics has cut the legs off from what was meant to follow, an ever growing dread is strangling it in the crib as report after report comes in explaining just how extensive the Tiberium contamination is below ground. But GDI will not yield.

"When the Third Tiberium War ended, the Granger administration made a promise that humanity would reclaim its beautiful marble of blue from the crystal. GDI will not yield. First we secured what lands we had, and GDI will not yield. Then we reclaimed what the crystal had stolen in the war, and GDI will not yield. Now we drive our offensives into places lost to Tiberium in our parents' and grandparents' time, and GDI will not yield. It rests beneath our feet, we have known this for a long time, but now we know where to find it, we will shout and cry and the very earth shall tremble and shake as the crystal shatters at the sound of our voice, GDI will not yield.
On the surface we will plant our yearling trees, their roots will dig deep, their crowns will cast a shade and we will rest our backs against the trunks. We will return life to murdered places, reclaim what was lost as we drive out the crystal.

"Humanity shall not yield."
-Seob Youngjae, Reclamation Party

I'd vote for him. He makes planting trees sound rather badass.

I hope the Reclamation party gets a lot more seats, as I approve of everything this man is saying.

Some working on the project now say that evidently, tiberium's greatest adaptation has been avoiding disturbing the surface to expose itself to GDI, instead burrowing quietly out of sight. Mapping the true extent of Tiberium, the size and depth of these deposits, is greatly complicated by other, shallower deposits, or deeper deposits sending double-echoes.

Am i reading this right?
Is....is Tiberium alive and actively avoiding us?
That has so many disturbing implications.

Can we trick it in coming to the surface?

That's always been a key trait of it. It's adaptive to whatever is causing it problems and mutates in response.
Can we trick it in coming to the surface?
That's what the enhanced growth spikes are for. Drawing it to the surface instead of pushing it underground like we were earlier.

In recent investigations one curious scan for underground tib revealed a strange coincidence. It seems that some underground tib spelled out "Fuck the Treasury!" With some scientists skepitcal on the accuracy of the report or why later scans revealed the same sentiment spelled out in 5 different langauges.

We still need to replace the Monrovia Yard--that was our only place for new builds of Leopards, and our launch fleet is going to get stretched. We don't have big enough portals to replace fusion launch vehicles yet, especially for large assemblies.

Dang. I was really hoping that with the refit our tanks would become mark 1 Bolo's. Basically shove a VI into it to help the crew. Looks like we aren't getting any best boy's in this quest or the following one. *Is sad*

We even completed what I considered to be the tech requirements to have a chance at it too this turn!

I think that some iterations of the Mark IV Mammoth might evolve into that. We already use advanced VI systems (we call them EVAs) all over the place in our military.

Well at least we have some idea on how bad things are. More you know right.

Plus side we beat bach Tib to 50% well 50.03% let's go most of the planet is some what liveable again.

how long do you think until the funni green rock adapt enough to the point we have murderous Tiberium golems popping up all over the place? I mean, killing us would help it more than not disturbing the surface... I'm assuming of course.

Tiberium is almost certainly a creation of a jackass precursor race. Its 100% designed to fuck over as many people as it can, especially new young races that don't know what it is.

It actively mutates to counter attempts to contain it (i.e. mutating to become more resistant to sonics). It draws more tiberium from other locations to counter attempts to get rid of it elsewhere (i.e. what happened in one of our big Red Zone pushes where Tiberium outright responded to our big push and drew in shitload of Tib from other locations and creates fissures and other hazards.

The reason why we lose abatement every so often is Tiberium constantly mutating to defeat our countermeasures.

Ah, I'm reminded of Bolos.
"Direct energy weapons made aircraft unfeasible"
Lancer looks like a first step to it. Mk V may be fully-fledged ai-controlled supertank.

12.77 Yellow (??? points of mitigation)
87.00 Red(??? points of mitigation)

So from this we can say that all of the Surface Red, Yellow, and Cyan Zones are undermined by underground Red Zone Tiberium. The Blue Zone is roughly 50/50 split between Underground Red and Yellow Zone with >1% of the Blue Zones having Underground Blue Zone.

This is not good, but we have tools that can fight against it (Vein Mines, E-Tib Spikes, Inhibitors) and now that the Inhibitors can roll over the remaining 12 can be rolled out a bit faster and cheaper. Hopefully the Tib Spikes will be less costly in PS now, probably still a cost, but not as bad as they were. Vein Mines likely effect Underground Tib Mitigation, but how much they do is up for debate.

In lighter news we are 1 turn away from getting the surface Red Zone back below game start levels which is an important milestone.

Wrex and Raz in the new quest or bust. C'mon it's just right there :D

first is really a very immediate response to the Karachi invasion, and the various efforts to build area defense Pitbull designs in the field.

Huh, I kept being annoyed we were putting it off but I guess upside is we have benefits of Karachi learnings for new vehicles. Not sure it was worth it though...

Yeah this shit is a menace. Really almost seems intelligent sometimes, wonder if it's like... actually programmed somehow with some sort of expert system? Still, we've had posts before mentioning that our glacier mining causes tiberium to be siphoned from a distance, so we just need to figure out if that works vertically too. Huh, actually, I wonder if accelerators do that as part of their design? Now that we better understand inhibitors I bet we can design an attractor that doesn't accelerate growth!
