This is a simple variant of @Oshha's Plan that does not have us trying to weaponize Lycain. And given the many other research projects we'll have over the next four years, I'd rather keep all the powerful research bonuses from DARPA. The only changes this plan makes is removing [] Experiment with methods to weaponize Lycain and [] MK Ultra Plus - Classified Files.

I imagine we will have to employ fantasy creatures sometime in the future? Because we could research enough to figured out how to give the werewolves more control over themselves which comes with that they are still citizens of there Nations and wouldn't they what them back?

Going by the quote below, it looks like originally we didn't. And maybe I missed it, but I couldn't find a post giving the reasoning on why it was added in.

I don't think "do weaponization research, but not really" will be an option if we vote to do the experiments for DARPA. Citation: The optimistic and very trustworthy QM post right above yours.
 
Things the DARPA wants to know:
-Can the regenerative factor be isolated
-Can the regenerative or transformative factor be activated outside full moon phases
-Can only humans be affected by Lycanthropy
-Can the transformed state be controlled

I edited it in after I was convinced it was worth taking in exchange for getting access to the research projects in the MK Ultra Plus files

I decide it was worth getting access to the research projects in the MK Ultra Plus files. My reasoning is that we have until the start of the next budget cycle to do it and a lot can change over the next sixteen turns and since it is a commitment to an Org not the Council, we can afford to fail it if the worse comes to the worse. That or we can do some basic investigation before coming to the conclusion that there is no good way to weaponise it, which seems to be the case based on what we currently know. We might even learn something over the next sixteen turns that will make it more viable or perhaps things will get bad enough that lycain weaponisation may end up being the lesser evil.

There is also the fact that we might find out how to weaponise it from figuring it out GLA is weaponising it or perhaps the other way around as figuring out how to weaponise lycain could let us uncover how GLA is weaponising it.

If this is all that DARPA wants, I don't mind agreeing to that demand and honestly, pretty much all of that is something we would want to learn ourselves.

Ok, just... why didn't you inform the thread of that change? It's a rather major change to make, and people voted for your plan over the alternative specifically because it didn't do the Lycan/MK Ultra options. Unless I missed it, you made that change without telling anyone.
 
So just to be clear. If we look up "weaponize Lycain that's less us pulling a GLA and throwing werewolves at our enemy and more trying to apply certain parts of Lycain to boost ourselves... and throwing werewolves at our enemies if that's all that can be done (but not as fire and forget weapons).

Is that right?

Personally, I don't consider to be a major change so I didn't consider worth mentioning and someone else in the thread did bring it up. Also nobody voted for my plan specifically because it didn't do the Lycan/MK Ultra options or least they didn't say that. They either voted for it or said they were voting for it despite lacking those options.

No. We will not be throwing werewolves at our enemies. If that proves to be the only use, then we will write it off as a dead end.

Is likely inevitable, even if they are completely impractical. People have kept surprising animals as pets. So it is likely people would try, even before major groups start discovering reasons that make attempted domestication worthwhile.
