If we get future telling back up to advanced we will have full coverage with an action every other year, and useful info for picking actions. We won't have a disaster every year, and not using future telling this year so we can get it up to advanced faster should be worth it in almost all cases.

Um, but in my plan we aren't losing any of our training actions. It's the same as the plan that has us doing two training actions. I merely subbed out training Jinnah twice for training her once.

I think that that's not that great of an argument for Invigoration, really. But it is a really good argument that we should use our Fortune Telling. If we'd been able/did so last time, we could have evacuated part of the town. We still would have lost the infrastructure, and probably even some of the lives, but we might have been ready! Even a week would have been enough to evacuate a majority of the residents, and my 'plan' sacrifices a training action of Jinnah's, not one of ours.
Yeah, it could have been useful. On the other hand relying on fortune telling in a major way is a weakness for us and it makes the story less compelling for me. We alse haven't shown how good our capabilities are on that front, and if we can keep that card hidden, we gain a major advantage in politics inside the realm. We have to be useful enough to be kept around, known enough to be a candidate for election but not publically powerful enough to be seen as the threat.

Maybe, but unlike 'able to see everywhere in the future' our fortune telling at this point is low enough that it mostly allows Academia Nut to have us intervene in minor disasters. Like, us being able to see a decade ahead is totally story-breaking. Us being able to see weeks or months ahead, on the other hand, isn't really, or at least, it shouldn't be as big of a problem.

I think it's far less story-breaking at the polity level than it is on a personal mission level and I really think Mirande's place is at the polity level

Also we probably should't neglect the *Fire*Storm tou our Prof. X

I wasn't addressing just you, and you still have 2 fewer training actions than I have in my vote.
If you went down to three training actions, what would you choose for your fourth action?

Do remember that doing improve health every other turn is enough to hit all pregnancies and people with aggressive diseases can be put into stasis

There's also the IC angle to keep in mind with future telling. We could have prevented or mitigated the damage from the raid. Mirande is stressing out about that.
When Anna and her advisors there could be some resentment.

It's also something that shows opportunities, it is a pretty good action for Green Owls advantage. It also shows what psykers can do to help and gives us some good PR.

That's a reason to work on future telling to make it useful, not to use a relatively ineffective action now.

@masterofmadness there's extremely diminished returns for doing Improve Health more often than every other turn. I suggest against it.

alright but I think we're putting too much focus on training instead of using our time to actually improve perceptions of psykers by showing people the good they can do, but I don't think the vote will change as this point so:

Curses, missed that.
Then may as well go for knowledge/power (Divination FTW)

When I wrote "less compelling to me" I meant, that it would be less compelling to me personally. AN can write it, and he can write it well.

"You mean we could have avoided this if only you haven't decided that sitting around was more important than 2000 lives?"
It might not be the best time to come out with the future sight. Invigoriting is helpful, shows that we are useful and we could avoid the possible resentment. It would also give Anna more energy to hunt eldar, which is always a bonus.

Jinah has 24 willpower (had 23), 16 base and -1 from sins/virtues. Since she can't have an education trait yet that means +9 from other traits. +2 brave +5 adamantum will +2 from disciplines?

Quick+iron will? quick and genius don't give willpower
Adamantium will seems hugely unlikely to me

I'd like to point out an important factor in why we should do university this year. With a couple more turns of this we can get Scholar as a lifestyle trait.

AN said we can get two lifestyle traits but the second will be a lot harder. When Kebhon comes back we'll be doing enough martial training to get Duelist as a second lifestyle trait. There is NO WAY that we'll ever do the decade plus of nonstop university (or pretty much anything) to get scholar as a second trait.

Getting scholar out of the way now is both hugely useful for our research and some of our powers, but it is basically the best chance we have to get two lifestyle traits any time in the next few decades.

So yeah. Scholar then Duelist? Manageable. Duelist then Scholar? Probably never going to happen.

tl;dr Vote college this turn for optimized lifestyle traits.

Doubt she has adamantum will
The alternative is iron will and +4 from disciplines. Mirande is only getting +2. That seems at least as unlikely. Adamantium will could be explainable by just being that freakishly talented, but how would she be getting something like 16 discipline ranks at her age?

As for quick, she probably has genius anyway.

She might have some kind of Forest Survival/Dragonslaying trait which also contributes to her absurdly large personal combat score? That could be the other +2.

Maybe pyromancy gives more willpower? Is some trait from her wilderness wanderings possible?
