Also, Ikea used their plushies as part of an advertisement campaign during the referendum in Sweden. And it has the trans flag colors more or less.Seems to be something relating to trans folk, from a quick google? I thought it was vtuber stuff around that shark-girl vtuber, initially, but they appear unrelated. Apparently the trans community just... adopted a particular shark plush that IKEA was selling, due to it being large, nice to cuddle, and cheap vs similar plushies.
Fret not, the rumors of the Blahaj's demise were greatly exaggerated, the Great Blahaj is still available for purchase: BLÅHAJ Soft toy, shark, 39 ¼" - IKEAI am too cis to have heard of Blahaj while they were still being sold. And I don't know where I'd put a three-foot-long shark if I had one.
And more specifically: "Internet famous", but only if you're internet-trans, or internet-trans adjacent. As far as I am able to tell, it is not so famous that someone would be able to draw conclusions unless they already spent a not-insignificant amount of time in trans and trans-adjacent spaces to begin with. It seems likely to me that the average civilian on the street would not see the correlation.

It's possible to be trans and not part of the greater internet-trans hive mind, apparently!

Yeah, there's a reason that this specific combination of identity and genre is common in webcomics and web serials and stuff. Plus, with magical girls being such a...well...girly genre, there are plenty of directions you can take gender themes. The gender stuff gives you a new perspective on magical girls, the magical girls are a new lens through which to examine gender stuff.Have I mentioned how clever it is doing a trans magical girl fic in general given that the magical girl genre itself is also kind of about becoming a woman?
A lot of my friends like "Magical Trans", which is this but played less straight (not that this is looking very straight at this point; rather, the opposite), and also a manga.Have I mentioned how clever it is doing a trans magical girl fic in general given that the magical girl genre itself is also kind of about becoming a woman?
Hey, I like that too!A lot of my friends like "Magical Trans", which is this but played less straight (not that this is looking very straight at this point; rather, the opposite), and also a manga.
Clearly this means that we are fated to be tragic rivals until one of us shoots a friendship beam at the other at a climactic point in someone's character arc (after which we shall become teammates and friends)

You can only work at your best when you practice self-care, after all. I can imagine the in-universe memes of Michael telling you to practice self-care, alongside the defender of trans rights memes.Ida I think really qualified as the Saint of Diligence when she began accepting Inessa's help, instead of just trying to power through everything by being more dedicated. She just never fully realised what it was that changed. And Inessa is Chastity/purity, but she's hardly been repressing the fact that she thinks Lupin/Avaritia's hot. With Temperance... well she was originally Gula, so all she really needed to do was actually show Temperance, and she's never been shy about enjoying indulging herself, it's just her making sure that she doesn't deprive others by doing it.
