A Hellfish flys again! ( a Simpsons X DVV CK2 Quest)

Alternatively, if we don't manage to capture Burns this turn I'd be willing to make a deal that involves them helping us deal with the Burns 6 in exchange for the blackmail. Getting rid of our current biggest antagonist would probably be worth the trade.

And if we do capture Burns this turn? Then I'm sure we can figure out something to use it on

Turn this blackmail over to a king (probably Doof) in exchange for 2-4 beginning of tech trees to immediately get our second learning action/get a good start on it.

I am also open to turning it in to the government for a few concessions. 1) Mona is pardoned, 2)A phat stack of income, and 3) Put a dome around Shelbyville. I can be negotiated down from the last point only if they're willing to either a) No longer recognize Missouri as a state or b) come back with an absolutely sick counter offer.

Yeah also seeling it to Doof will probably make it public......

Which is a maybe good idea?

The Springfield papers?

Dunno seems chaotic selling to doof

Maybe sell the blackmail to Xanathos? It would give us an inn on his territory and to do bussiness with him.

Also Xanathos is one of the more less evil and problematic kings compared to everyone else

Yeah, I like Doof but unless he speedruns some character development there's a good chance he'll use the blackmail for some Doofania related bullshit. Which is just gonna piss the government off.

I feel like the blackmail we have is pretty damn good blackmail. We don't need to use it on just one thing, Mona pardon, fat stack of cash, and some unreasonable demand they can talk us away from seems like the best idea to me.

It's our blackmail, we could demand that they make us king of the USA, that doesn't mean they'll agree. I think you'll be right and it'll be a contested diplomacy probably.
If so, it potentially has modifiers depending on just what we ask. Something that they find particularly onerous would probably be a difficult check, but something that could be of benefit to them as well might be easier to get.

For example, it was mentioned at least once in the past that the govt would not be too opposed to helping us capture Burns because there are still people who know what he did with the post war trillion dollars for rebuilding Europe. Something to keep in mind depending on how that interlude goes

I´d also suspect that over time, that contested Diplo roll would get loaded more and more in the Feds´ favor as they regain their strength and ability to refute our positions.

So maybe we should "spend" that BM stuff ASAP to get the most outta it

Might want to hold off until we've paid our taxes. though. Just in case.
Or use it to never pay taxes again. So, my revised pitch for the blackmail: Pardon Mona, get some fat government spending contracts (Maybe the ones they were giving Shelbyville), no taxes for anyone who was under the dome. I feel like it's fair, and will open us up to more cooperation in the future should we feel like it.

But if we roll well on the taxes we get back taxes which means we make money. Also it's hard to keep blackmailing someone forever.

Do you want the IRS to be our enemy.
They're scary even the Joker doesn't want to mess with them

Technically we have 2 blackmails.

Apart from what Burns had, we can still blow the lid on the entire dome thing.

Would it put us on the goverment perma shit list? Yes.

But honestly fuck them, especially Russ Cargill.

Actually we still need to find that fucker, he is still out there hiding.

I always assume the guy was dead since you know, he fell from a cliff at the end of the movie

It's not forever! Just until all the people who were under a dome are dead. Any new citizens would still have to pay taxes. We can even pay the company's taxes. As a compromise.

I thought Maggie dropped a big ass rock on his head. But yeah one of the QM's mentioned that the feds were looking for him. So unless they just can't find his corpse he's still out there somewhere.
I mean, we're not exactly letting them in to look.

I meant that it's hard to keep a long term deal like that going after we hand over the blackmail. And people are going to start asking questions about why the population of a random ass town gets tax exemption. We'd be better off making them give the people money under the guise of a stimulus check or something.

Springfield isn't exactly a closed city. If the Feds want to get in a look for him they probably already have. Plus it was in Springfield gorge where he got rocked on and it's not like we have it under 24/7 surveillance.

Well, we gotta get something else! And I don't see us getting any major laws changed.

.....Maybe a major boost to the schools and public works stuff?
