[X] Cast Alteration Invisibility on the robot and drag it out-
-[X] To Kwama Korp for 'repairs'.

I feel like it's been some time since we dropped something into Vahlen's lap.
What better than a robot with a soul?
I see absolutely no way this could possibly go wrong!

That's Gonna Leave A Mark
"I could have-" Louise started, only to stop herself as she reached toward the machine. It had been trying to save her life. Chastising it... her for gallantry wasn't right. Pressing the strips of fake flesh back into place, the pinkette mumbled, "Thank you."

"Your welcome, that is what friends do... at least, I think so."

Pretending that the exchange hadn't happened, Louise held up a glowing hand and ordered, "Hold still, I'm going to try healing you, but I'm not sure if it will work on a machine."

"You knew about this?" Yang asked from where she'd withdrawn to place herself between P.E.N.N.Y. and Ruby.

Nodding to the blonde and watching the wariness in her expression ease away slightly, the youngest Vallière noticed the number of onlookers gathering. Unlike the parahuman mages from Vicky's world, P.E.N.N.Y. actually had a reason to disguise herself. Being the abomination of inhuman soul and machine that she was, P.E.N.N.Y. was an existence that shouldn't be and she knew it. Rather than let them come too close and further damage the fake girl's attempt at hiding among actual people, Louise cancelled her healing spell and hit the crowding commoners with Blind.

Ignoring the sounds of surprise, she then grabbed the robot by the hand and resumed her previous spell.

Other than a few inconsequential dents, the only damage she could identify with the Runes was cosmetic. Pressing a glowing hand to the torn 'flesh' above the robot's right eye, she was relieved when the skin immediately knit back together. So it was concerning when, as she had carefully repeated the action in the three other major 'wounds', she noticed a shift of sorts. Nothing was immediately visible at the spot she was working on, but she quickly found the problem when she looked up into Penny's confused eyes.

Where once there had been a pair of perfectly human orbs of mint-green, jaundiced serpent eyes stared back. Her skin tone remained the same, but there was a rapidly spreading pattern to it that Louise realized resembled scales. It wasn't obvious unless closely inspected, but it definitely didn't look normal when noticed. More worrying, her neck had lengthened by an extra vertebra and her cheekbones were rising.

Stopping her spell before P.E.N.N.Y. lost her hair or something worse, Louise pulled the robot to her feet and noticed with alarm that she had grown a head taller. "I-I... We need to leave, something went wrong."

---------------------------------

"This is so fucked." Yang whispered harshly as they sorted through clothes in the back of the first shop they'd come upon.

Louise might not have agreed with the crass way she'd said it, but the blonde was right. P.E.N.N.Y. was in a changing room trying to replace her dress that was now too small. Thankfully her boots still fit, but she was now too tall to wear her previous outfit without looking more indecent than the blonde harlot herself. How was the poor thing going to explain her sudden change to her creator? Would he believe her? Would he dismantle her? Would that General come searching for the one who caused her change?

Leaning against a wall, the pinkette slid down and wrapped her arms around her knees. Of course her attempt to repay someone's kindness would end like this.

"-eally think so?" P.E.N.N.Y. asked brightly as she stepped out in a black dress that looked to be made of reflective scales.

Following right behind her, Ruby nodded fiercely, "Yeah, I mean, sequins is flashy, but that's kinda the whole point of a Huntress' clothes. Besides, it'll keep everyone's eyes off the... scales."

"They're hardly noticeable anyway." Yang added offhandedly. "If anything, you've almost got that whole Mistralian thing going on with the shape of your eyes. Erm... the socket shape not the snake pupil thing, though you could just lie and say you're a faunus. It's not like you'd be the first."

When Louise didn't rise to the teasing accusation, Yang scratched awkwardly at the back of her head. "A-anyways, you could use a bit of eye shadow to blend out the sunken look and emphasize the new angle they're at."

"Trust me, keep the highlight patterns from your old gear and recolor them to yellow instead of green, it'll be fine." Ruby said with finality.

"I will do that then." P.E.N.N.Y. replied with a salute. "Thank you all for your assistance, but I should probably return to the General so he can inform my father."

"Y-yeah, no problem?"

"Knock 'em dead out there, robo-chick."

"Why would I- Oh, that was an idiom. Very well, I will do my best to 'knock them dead', Yang." Ignoring, or more likely not noticing, Yang's cringe, P.E.N.N.Y. turned to Louise. "I'm sorry I ruined your plans for the day."

Not willing to meet the fake girl's gaze, the pinkette replied, "You didn't, if anything I'm the one at fault."

"General Ironwood and my father will be concerned, but I have adjusted to my new appearance already. You were just trying to help and you are my friend even after finding out about me." Penny smiled at that and for the first time, her eyes didn't look dead.

Several quiet minutes after the robot left, Yang pulled a dress off of a rack and asked, "So... who votes we forget about the new pile of crazy and get ready for the dance?"

"Aye." Louise agreed with visible relief that she wouldn't need to explain anything yet and the two of them turned to Ruby.

Fidgeting, the black and red haired child whined, "Can't I just go in my combat outfit? It's already got a skirt and corset."

The blonde put a finger to her chin and just as Louise was concerned she was seriously contemplating the question, she grinned maliciously, "Nope!"

So Penny has the soul of a lizard person, but what kind of lizard person? Krogan? Argonian? Deathclaw? Varga? Or does she just have a talent for politics?

Oddly enough, the last one is closest, though snake rather than lizard. The Tsaesci of Akavir produced several who became potentates for the Empire.

A Snake for being so Deceptive she decieved herself? Magical Chameleon for trying so hard to blend in? Maybe the Original Penny was a parsel-tongue and everyone didnt notice?

Or maybe a reptile died the exact moment Penny did and it mixed with the soul to form the New Penny?

Dovakhiin. Totes. Louise shouldn't have stopped the draconic transformation in its infancy!
Where are her over-reactions and supercharging healing spells when we need them?
There's no maybe, you've got the right of it. The thing is that Penny's soul hasn't been in her body long enough to have fully imprinted and who knows what kind of being that soul belonged to before it was recycled through the Dreamsleeve... But hey, that's what science(!) is for.
I thought she grew a new soul. Not a machine that got possessed by some overgrown dead lizard.

Louise really has trained her friends well. Their so inoculated to bullshit at this point, that their reaction to seeing Louise accidentally transform a hidden gynoid into a freaky lizard cyborg, is to offer it/her fashion advice. I guess nothing tops finding out your pink haired princess friend is actually an alien magical girl. Also your mom is alive somehow? And your uncle is a creepy stalker? Your dad is pretending like mom doesn't exist? Your headmaster is the Illuminati?! I can hear the internal, I'm so done with this shit, from here. Better focus on the dance, find comfort in the normality.

So, with this thing about souls taking time to imprint on their new body, does that mean we could steal newborn babies and 'heal' them into random exotic forms but with no memories or identity? There are more efficient ways to get zombies, of course, but this is a good candidate for the most wantonly unethical.

I think human souls are human? Atlas is up to some unethical shit and accidentally pulled snake souls from the aether. Paledine probably has closets full of defective prototype P.E.N.N.Y.'s I think Atlas military and Kwama korp would get along like a house on fire. We at least have the same MO for Science! The walking potion ingredients running our shop would agree.

Inferno Vulpix That... would work really well, actually.

E.Nigma is sort of correct, though not entirely. It's more sapient souls only go to bodies of a sapient species, so a cat isn't going to get a Nord soul and an Asari isn't going to get a bird soul, but a Nord can reincarnate as an Asari. The snake soul Penny got was a Tsaesci, Akaviri snake people said to have been man-eaters and invaded Tamriel several times throughout history.

Edit: nobody but Argonians get Argonian souls though, they're part of a closed system.

Ooh, they may not be as efficient as normal zombies but they might be what we need to man our ship! Their souls belong to this world and we aren't summoning them from anywhere else, so our transliminal prohibition shouldn't have a problem with them (I think. We're just making them assume their true forms, and I can't see how that would be a problem). The only question is whether we can get them to do what we want, but with adult-sized brains they should be intelligent enough to handle orders and with no memories they should be fairly malleable.

Inter-Team Bonding Is A Blast.
Standing in the center of the Combat classroom's arena late the next morning, Louise tried to appear impassive as the others filed in. It was harder than it should have been for one specific reason; she'd never worn a brassière before. She'd realized that morning that the reason her armor felt so uncomfortable lately was because of her budding femininity and knew that additional padding would help. Short on time, she'd invisibly snuck into DASY's dorm to borrow from her fellow heiress, her being the only one similarly undeveloped.

"So, as I'm sure some of you are wondering why I called you all here, I will explain." Weiss began, thankfully not noticing Louise's slight blush. "Some unexpected information has come to light recently-"

Scoffing, Yang plopped down on the front bleachers. "Understatement, much?"

"Can you just let me finish?" The white haired girl snapped, getting a negligent wave from the blonde. "Thank you. I thought it would be best to make sure everyone has an understanding of the situation. After questioning each of them I have determined that Louise, Hinata, Victoria, and Tsun are from another reality... or rather, three different realities. While in a similar situation now that she's here, Victoria isn't a faunus, Louise has legitimate magic straight out of a fairy tale, and Hinata's world is full of people that make her look like a civilian in comparison."

"You forgot Tsun."

"Hmph!" Was Weiss' only response as she crossed her arms in irritation.

"Ooh what's this? Did something happen?"

"Tsun wouldn't talk to her." Blake answered for the Schnee with a small smirk.

Giving the faunus a baleful look, Weiss decided to refocus the conversation. "In summary; Remnant isn't the only world with humans, one of the owners of Kwama Korp can bring back the dead, and the Grimm are unique to our world. Was there anything else?"

"Uh... Yeah, but... don't freak out?" Ruby said hesitantly. With an encouraging hand on her shoulder from Pyrrha, she took a deep breath. "Okay, so the other night when Louise passed out in BRTC's room, her... uh... teacher came and spoke with the headmaster. Apparently Ozpin's a wizard with magic and stuff like Louise and the Grimm are controlled by someone named Salem and my mom and I are being targeted by her because we have eyes that give us superpowers or something."

"What?" Jaune asked once she finished her rapid babbling.

Not waiting for him to get an answer, the pinkette asked, "Master Cynric was here and nobody told me?!"

"Don't you think there's more important points to what Ruby said? Like... I don't know, the Grimm not being mindless monsters like we were told?" Blake raised a brow.

"So? Why should I care about that?"

Sighing for whatever reason, Pyrrha diverted attention to the sisters by pointing out, "If this Salem person is after you for your eyes, that means you're a threat to her, right?"

"We don't know, Ozpin wasn't being very generous with his info." Yang answered for her sister. "Anyway, there's one more thing. That Penny girl you met the other day, Weiss? Well, she's a robot made in some secret Atlas project."

After a long silence, the pale girl clapped. "Right... well, who's ready to hit each other for the next couple of hours."

"Yeah, that's kinda how we took it too."

---------------------------------------

Between flooding the area with elemental spells and her innate mastery of weapon-based combat, it had been decisively in her favor each time. Not even Pyrrha's cheating Semblance helped much when Louise's ultragreatsword was already heavy enough to strain her control and the pinkette could overpower her with Fortify Strength. Coupled with her massive Aura, the first half hour of individual matches ended with them realizing that none of them stood much of a chance when she didn't hold back anything.

Out of everyone of their group, only Hinata wasn't joining in. Blake was taking her place and Tsun was doing the same for Louise, though he would only intercept hits for the others since he trembled as if actually afraid when she'd tried to order him to attack her. Whatever the reason, she wasn't exactly displeased that her familiar refused to hurt her.

In any case, they'd moved on to fighting in pairs and then as teams before they met any success against her. Ruby, Blake, and Pyrrha had come close on their first match-up and Team DASY had won thanks to Vicky's knowledge of a good portion of Louise's répertoire. Weiss' Glyphs let them avoid Rune traps by creating airborne platforms, Vicky's lava obscured her view, and both Yang and Jaune hit hard enough that it was actually a better use of magicka to cast Ebonyflesh rather than let her Aura take the hit. At one point the Arc boy probably would have otherwise broken her wrist when she blocked and she was mildly impressed with the imbecile's brute strength.

Eventually the four of them pinned her beneath layers of Ice Dust cooled lava and Gravity glyphs long enough that it was determined a technical knockout. While she could have broken free with Fortify Strength, they just kept piling more on and three of them were absurdly strong in their own right. It would have been a waste of magicka for a spar and limited her in the next fight.

After that, the other trio tried again and through Blackie's clone trickery, Ruby's speed, and Pyrrha's Semblance, they managed to get her out of the ring by sacrificing Ruby. The fact that Louise had a Levitation enchantment on her armor made it a pointless sacrifice, but it almost worked. After that, she made short work of them.

Louise was going to end the session there, but after a lot of begging from the others, Hinata reluctantly went against her earlier decision and stepped onto the stage.

The pinkette couldn't come close to the ninja's speed and it was all she could manage just to block the bullets from her gauntlets. SMG rounds came from all around, a pair of illusory clones making it even harder to track the Hyuga, and she was forced to create obstructions with Ice Wall. Unfortunately, that just led to the white eyed girl using the razor sharp spikes as platforms and made it even harder to defend against the barrage.

Shooting out Ash and Destruction Runes of all types as she did her best not to get shot too many times, Louise already knew it was pointless. Hinata would be able to see and track each and every one of them effortlessly with her magical eyes and could end the fight whenever she wanted by simply getting in close. It would be insulting to be toyed with like that, but knowing the exceedingly meek child, she obviously was just trying to spare her feelings by making it seem like the pinkette could hold her off... well, that or she was trying to get Louise to demonstrate her abilities for the others since that was the point of the whole exercise.

Seeing as she wouldn't be able to last much longer and there was little chance of winning if she let Hinata do as she pleased, Louise chose to change tactics. Betting everything on one last gambit, she extended both arms and spun on her heel while pushing out raw magicka. Void magic being naturally unstable, she used it to her advantage and the area was bathed in hundreds of explosions. It was deafening and the room quickly filled with smoke, but she kept it up for a full twenty seconds, straining to get as many attacks in as possible before stopping with enough magicka to heal anybody that might need it afterward.

Panting and trembling from the strain as she waited for the smoke to clear, Louise only had a moment to notice a buzz on her skin before a finger poked the back of her neck and she collapsed.

-------------------------------

"Holy shit." Yang choked out as the barrier around the stage flickered back to life.

So much for the best safety gear money could buy. It hadn't withstood two blasts before going down and everyone had been forced to take cover as the rest of the room was bombarded. Someone had opened the doors and the fans had come on, so the smoke was clearing quickly, but it was still hard to breathe as she watched a short figure carry somebody over to the rest of them.

Blood dripping down from her scalp and forcing one eye closed, Hinata didn't look bothered at all as she set Louise on the bench. Instead of sitting down or worrying about herself, the little kid just turned toward the doors and stoically looked off into the distance. Was she trying to act cool?

Shrugging, the blonde walked over to her bitchy princess of a team leader. "So, boss, what's the plan when Goodwitch comes to kill us for ruining her classroom?"

"I'd say she's the least of our worries." Weiss replied with uncharacteristic nervousness and brushed past her.

Confused, Yang turned to follow just in time to see a tall man in Atlas uniform and a woman who looked very much like an older Weiss that positioned herself in front of him defensively as they entered the room. Broad shouldered, crisply dressed, a single glove covering what she knew to be a prosthetic arm, black hair with a steely stripe just above his ears, and a small metal plate above his right eye; General Ironwood was pretty recognizable. Goodwitch was with them too, but that didn't matter much when the faced with the leader of the Atlas military.

"What in the world do you children-"

"Far be it for me to tell you how to handle your students, but can this please wait until I've taken them back to my ship for questioning?" Ironwood interrupted, holding up a gloved hand to the obvious Schnee and causing her to sheath her weapon. "I promise I won't let them come to any harm, Glynda."

Looking unhappy about it, not that she ever actually looked happy, Goodwitch agreed, "Fine, but I expect you to tell me what this is about later."

"You'll know as soon as Oz does."

----------------------------------------------------

Sitting in a sparsely decorated room opposite a desk, Louise scrunched her brows in confusion when the man offered her a cup. While it would have been expected back in Tristain, it had been a long time since she'd left her homeland. The fact that P.E.N.N.Y. had been inordinately pleased to see her before she'd been led into the room made it more confusing.

She had blacked out for a few minutes, felt dazed, sore, and so drained of magicka that she might as well not have any and now Penny's 'General Ironwood' was offering her tea. Just what was going on?

They wouldn't have any life experience, knowledge, or coordination. You'd have to come up with some way of teaching or programming them. Star Wars has a method, but I don't think the Kaminoans would just give up proprietary tech and you'd have to get there first.

Hmm? What's that about?

Actually, what's going on with Hinata lately? She's changed from the uncertain girl she was back in Wormverse, but I am not sure I can tell why. Trobdor-sensei has been busy lately, too, so it's not entirely his influence.

she hasn't changed that much, she's just had less screen time and isn't outspoken enough to be notoced much even when present. She isn't uncertain about combat because she can literally see how much weaker these people are than her and has had months to get used to winning. Aside from that, she is trying to improve herself and Trobror is perfectly capable of texting her while working on his investigation.
