Can someone wise in the ways of Worm reconstruct the conversation? I caught the reference to C.U.I., which is where they assume Hinata is from, but other than that... who is it that Amy is even angry at, at this point?

I have no idea what CUI stands for.

From the Worm Wiki:

The Chinese Union-Imperial or CUI is a country covering much of Asia, with borders similar to modern China.

The successor government to the People's Republic of China.

...

The CUI are governed by an imperial family, and are supported by the Yàngbǎn. They have hundreds of millions of citizens.

...

The Yàngbǎn are made up of various parahumans, most Chinese, but some from other countries who were trafficked[2][3] or kidnapped directly.[4] They have been formed through brainwashing often unwilling parahumans into their cult-like group.[5] Prospective members are forced through a series of questions on Yàngbǎn doctrine and tortured when they fail.[6] Individual members were identified only by their numbers, not names.[7] Mistakes such as mispronunciations or using English would be subtly punished with shunning and less food. Acceptable statements would be repeated by the group, signalling social acceptance, while unacceptable ones were met with crushing silence. Their punishing schedule renders them especially pliable.[5]

Gesellschaft (pronounced "geh-zell-shoft"[1]) was a European nationalistic neo-Nazi organization.[2][3]

...

Gesellschaft supposedly had the ability to cause trigger events in a safe, controlled environment.
Their money was laundered through cover operations and businesses, almost impossible to track without parahuman abilities. They purchased nuclear materials from "notable arms dealers in Southern Europe", for use in large-scale terrorism...

The 'some sort of victory' likely refers to Victor, a cape of the Empire 88 (local Nazi gang w/ties to Gesellschaft). Victor's powers are to permanently (?) steal 'skills' from people, but he is most often employed as a sniper.

CUI is the Chinese Union-Imperial. The contain the Yangban, an organization who capture parahumans and divide their powers up to give the entire group a somewhatreduced version of each.

Is it the abandoned dock building we've found?
Yes.

What does Amy know or suspect about our living conditions?.
The only thing she 'knows' for sure is that Louise is living in the city somewhere with who she claims to be her grandfather and apparently Hinata as well.

I agree; there's also the chance that Cynric's note could fall into the PRT's hands before Louise has a chance to read & destroy it, which depending on the exact contents, may give the game away entirely! Therefore:

[X] Insist against their plan, they're obviously scheming something. Spending time together is fine, but you're not following them anywhere at the moment.

Ah, ok. So in Amy's mind, it's a conflict between Gesellschaft and Yangban? With Hinata (us?) apparently on the side of the latter? Or do they think we belong to a third independent faction stealing capes from everyone indiscriminately?

I just want to know how she reconciles supposed Victor's attack on Hinata with Dr. Vahlen's supposed 'help'. One implies an affiliation with Gesellschaft, and the other implies the opposite.

If we're lucky Amy and/or Vicky will go by themselves and the crazy train WILL still go on.

It may be as simple as Hinata being of Asian descent and probably mistaken for a parahuman with her eyes. The Azn Bad Boyz is a pan-Asian local gang that is a rival of E88, so Amy may conclude it to have been an attempt by a Nazi to take down what he suspected to be a new ABB cape.

The important part here is that Hinata has powers, and she's from a place where there are lots of people with standardized grab bag powers, who are put through an indoctrination and physically abusive training regime.

...which is the Yangban, since they have the ability to break up and distribute powers across multiple people to get squads of standardized powers, which engages in socially and physically abusive training regimes.

Funny how the similarities work :p

What a right proper mess this is.

Louise should start working on an exit strategy very soon. I also just thought about solving the kiba problem. We just need to find a genie or a wish granting device.

People seem to love misspelling Gesellschaft, I must have seen at least 10 versions by now.
(Whereas Kaiser and Krieg are only ever misspelt as Kaizer and Kreig.)
Quasar and Craig, you say? That's unfortunate, they're such upstanding people too, they don't deserve to have their names constantly botched.

Staying Put
"This isn't the time for stupid tours." Louise admonished them, brushing Vicky's arm off. "Can't you see Hinata's still shaken up about what happened?"

"That's exactly why it's a good idea, what better distraction than meeting super heroes?" Vicky pressed.

Giving her an unimpressed look, the pinkette asked, "Aren't you two super heroes?"

"W-well yeah, but... but this is different." Victoria insisted. If it hadn't been obvious before that they were up to something, it definitely was now. Why did Hinata's appearance make a visit to the PRT a priority? She didn't know what they could be planning, since she was certain she hadn't done anything to make them turn on her. There was no way Louise would be going anywhere with the Dallon sisters when they were like this.

Standing up and placing herself between the sniffling and embarrassed Hyuga, Louise stamped her foot firmly and pointed an accusing finger at the blonde. "I said no. Why are you being so persistent about this?"

After a brief look passed between the sisters, Amy said, "We just think it would be a good idea for you to meet the Wards. You know, Vista's around your age, I think you could be friends."

"Fine, we're leaving." Louise declared, helping Hinata up off the floor. As she lead the younger girl toward the door, Vicky floated to block their path. Glaring up at the blonde, she growled, "Get out of my way, Vicky!"

Holding up her hands in a placating manner, Victoria gave a nervous smile. "Hold on now, there's no need to do anything rash. Let's just forget about this and watch a TV or something, I'm sure your friend wouldn't mind, right?"

Ducking her head at the attention, Hinata mumbled, "No, that's alright."

"See, she's fine." Vicky cheered with a too wide grin. Letting herself be guided to the couch in the main room, Louise kept a wary eye on the blonde. Confident in her ability to get the two of them out of there if things went wrong, she pulled Hinata close as they sat down. Vicky turned on the tell-a-vision and none of them really paid any attention to the poorly drawn images of talking animals.

At some point after the first episode, Vicky went back into the kitchen to finish making her breakfast and Amy slipped out of the room to 'call in sick' to the school. Once they were alone, Hinata whispered, "I'm sorry if I ruined whatever you were doing before I arrived."

Louise was quick to reassure the girl who was something of a protege. "Don't worry about it, you didn't interrupt anything important. I was about to go heal a bunch of commoners when they left for their academy classes, but that can wait."

"T-that's kind of you to do, are you sure we should stay here instead?"

"I told you it's fine. They're just commoners, it's not like they have anything better to do than wait for my arrival." She said dismissively, to which Hinata furrowed her brow in concern. The poor naive child really needed Louise around to keep the peasants from abusing her softness. "Besides, the more important thing is to make sure you know how to avoid any mistakes in our story."

Thankfully the girl was capable of putting aside her concerns to focus on the task at hand. Nodding in approval at her, Louise explained, "After a bit of a rough start, I've managed to obtain employment as a healer at a nearby hospice. Amy, the brown haired girl, is known to the public as the healer 'Panacea'... the local nobility have this odd fascination with pseudonyms and masquerade... I can't really explain it, but they insist it is important. Anyway, on to Glory Girl... Victoria... I'm sure you've noticed, but she's not quite the same as the Vicky we know. I... Was Vicky still there when you left?"

"Yes?" Hinata answered with a tilt of her head. "She has been making silk clothing."

"Huh... well, that's reassuring. I was concerned about accidentally causing her to cease existing." The Valliere sighed in relief before shaking her head. "Well, this Vicky seems mostly the same, but I don't think telling her the full truth would be a good idea... our Vicky was skeptical of magic even after being turned into a spider during an alien invasion. As far as these people are concerned, Cynric is my grandfather and I am working to support him. While not a lie, I've let them make their own assumptions on the finer details as well as using my... appearance to my advantage."

"Y-you mean... Ano... I suppose they think you're my age then?" Hinata asked with apprehension. Gritting her teeth, Louise nodded. It was a humiliating thing to be forced to do, but the convenience had outweighed that... or so she'd thought, but hearing it from the child that she'd taken under her wing was worse than she had imagined. She could easily the Zerbst trollop and Montmerency 'the flood' tittering in delight at finding out and her traitorous mind decided to replace their faces with her new friends back at the base.

Louise was thankful that Hinata was too meek to laugh at her or she might have hurt the girl. Her cheeks burning, she looked away and said, "If I find out you told anyone..."

"I-I wouldn't do that to you." Hinata denied firmly... for her. Granted, her words were still quiet, but she seemed to believe them. "Friends don't betray each other like that. I don't care what you look like, Louise. You are strong and determined and it doesn't matter if people look down on you for something you can't control, you should be proud of what you can do. I-I wish I could be as confident as you."

For some reason, Louise felt her eyes begin to sting. Rubbing at what was most definitely not tears, she smiled warmly at the younger girl and pulled her into a hug. "T-thanks, Hinata."

Wrapping her arms around the pinkette, the two of them sat in comfortable silence and tried to make sense of the show that Vicky had chosen. Eventually the two sisters drifted back into the room and pretended to watch as well, but soon enough they were both tapping at their phones with bored expressions. Mind numbing hours of inanity and what felt like a hundred episodes later, Louise and Hinata were fast asleep when a chime echoed through the room.

"Glory Girl here."

Snapping her eyes open, Louise looked over to see Vicky answering her phone. Wiping away the drool she noticed she'd been leaking onto Hinata's hair, she could barely make out a rushed voice on the other end.

"What? Yeah, sure. No problem. Bye." Flipping the device closed, the blonde looked over and announced, "The ABB are attacking PRT headquarters."

[] Wish them well and return to the antique shop. You have your own matters to attend to, such as reading Master Cynric's note in private.

[] Go to the hospital with Amy and heal people, surely there will be more injured people after the battle, which means more money.

[] Offer to assist Vicky and the PRT, Hinata could do with an easy victory to build some confidence.

[] Write in.

Don't these people need an on-site healer?

We could go there, see what it is, and still keep our cake cover!

Alright, let's try to work through this:

Lung, the leader of the ABB, is currently in PRT custody. Odds are, the attack is an attempt to bust him out as they did in canon. While the ABB succeeded in canon, they also first engaged in a city-wide terror campaign which stretched the heroes thin before attempting to free him. Here, the ABB is engaging in an alpha strike against the PRT HQ; the response of the heroes will likely be more swift and coordinated, thus making the ABB's success less likely. Further, the Protectorate heroes will be out for blood, as they believe Bakuda to be responsible for Velocity's death, another strike against the ABB's odds of success.

That said, the ABB forces are crazy dangerous, despite having very few capes. Oni Lee is a teleporter that leaves behind an autonomous clone after each 'port, which lasts for several seconds before collapsing to ash. His preferred tactic is to employ the clones as suicide bombers, which has some horrific synergy with Bakuda, the ABB's new Tinker, who specializes in bombs. Further, Bakuda by now has started implanting tiny cranial bombs in the ABB rank and file, which she can trigger to explode at will.

Another consideration is that, in canon, right about now Bakuda would be getting into a fight with the Undersiders, in retaliation for their takedown of Lung at the start of Worm. Here, the Undersiders are instead currently in PRT custody as well, which may mean that the ABB has a secondary goal of eliminating the Undersiders while they're helpless and imprisoned. Even if not, depending on how much he currently knows of the situation, if Lung is freed I can see him taking time to burn the lot of them in their cells, especially Taylor.

There's also the chance that Coil is manipulating the situation. He may have leaked information to the ABB to prompt them to attack the PRT, which could then serve as an opportunity for the Undersiders to escape during the confusion. Maybe not all the Undersiders; push comes to shove, the only one Coil really cares about is Tattletale, while the rest are just handy pawns as far as he's concerned.

While Louise and Hinata could do some real good at PRT HQ, especially if they go full murder-ghost like they did against the Ethereals, Bakuda's bombs are some scary shit, especially the mini-black hole and time-stop grenades. Additionally, going straight to the PRT may end up with Lousie having to answer some uncomfortable questions, especially if she employs her usual brand of problem-solving to the ABB issue.

Therefore, I'm inclined to go with Amy to the hospital to patch together the casualties that come through the door. Louise was going to the hospital for her job anyways, might as well be practical and clock in.

But wouldn't Invisibility cover our tracks, though?

Let them leave, put the Invis cap, follow, engage in vanton slaughter, come back, change clothes, act cute. Should be routine by now!

...point. I suppose it depends on how close anyone is paying attention to Louise in the first place, and if she disappears for a bit, the ability for anyone to put two and two together when the ABB is inexplicable torn to bits for no apparent reason.

Additionally, if Bakuda herself is present for the attack, which is a definite possibility due her egomania, her death would activate her deadman's switch, providing a nice cover explanation to anything Louise and Hinata get up to.

Eh, I am going for it!

[x] Wish them well and pretend to return to the antique shop. Take Hinata and follow them under the cover of enough Alteration Invisibility to hide your involvement.

We took out the Etherials, we can do this! Master Cynric knew what he was doing when he sent us the stealthiest ninja he could find!

(hm, did someone say black hole? I wonder where we could have heard that before... No matter, Louise is not afraid of little darkness!)

There's no real incentive to murder-ghosting.
