What choice do we have it's either go ignorant and potentially having a number of people to not simply die but be discorporated on the spiritual level or potentially get some answers and get assurances from Nothing there that they won't hurt those we care about that may ultimately be meaningless

Also on the topic of her contracting QB, the body and souls she is using now is technically all contracted to qb. So she is still doing the contractually obligated things.

I wonder, is it possible for X to make a wish? Because the cleanest solution I can think of is somebody making a wish to solve this. Just asking for Kyoko seems hypocritical and still dooms the rest of those girls, something X would be heartbroken by. I think we need to talk to Kyubey. Even if X can't make a wish, dooming one girl to be a magical girl is better then dooming 37 magical girls to be Nothing There's meat puppet.
 
... Welp I cannot in good conscience not try to stop Nothing There knowing that 36 people are suffering in them. I hope I did the plan format correctly

-weaken shell so the daughter of sun and moon bubbles up a bit.
-Bastardized synchronization and blitz NT, attempting to steal soul gems as we tear through its Shell.-

NT thinks it is helping, but also has a mixture of wanting not to be discarded (Kyouko); could we attempt to crash course it through the difference between helping and halping?
Or does that fall under Repression?

-[x] Have Mami get Madoka and Yuma out of here and away from where-ever we're fighting.
-[x] Sakaya assists by buffing X and generally just trying to stay out of the way of the fight otherwise. If asked why, explain that purely physical attacks do not work on this thing.
-[x] 1 on 1 network with Homura, explain that NT stole a bunch of soul gems and ask if she can attempt to use time stop to swipe them while she's distracted with fighting us.
-[x] Basically the game plan is a fight with Sakaya providing buffs and Homura using time stop to assist in whatever way she thinks will help.
-[x] Tell Homura about 'Goodbye' and ask her to drag you into time stop to commit massed fire and get out of the way of the attack.


Thoughts on this current set of plans?

It's so obvious. The pieces were all there. We KNEW ALL THE ANSWERS. we just... didn't expect NT to be so bold, I guess...

I'm gonna suggest a form of attachment work. I don't want to try fighting NT or pulling aggressive actions. If she powers up she just has to find more Soul Gems. If X powers up Homura's gonna need to find a new city. And possibly a new world. If this were later in the quest, with more EGO we might pull a win, but as it stands?? Ahaha.... No.

I know this is hard. And scary. And fucked up, and everyone's kind of panicking but just remember what L-Corp taught us, and the old company motto. Face the Fear, Build the Future. There's a perfect solution here. I know it. Just as I know it's possible to beat the game without Agent Deaths if you know what you're doing. All the pieces are in front of us. We just have to figure out what it means, so that everyone can get the happy ending we're hoping for.

Ok so it's nothing like a Core Suppression but still, therapy and healthy communication to teach good things! Attachment Work! Nothing There loves attachment work!
 
I feel like we should start a dialogue, ask it what it wants, we get it wants to be human, we get it respects X, but once it becomes human what lays beyond that? Does it know? Is it just clinging to X because she's familiar and that being X's agent was what was normal for all humans it encountered while in containment?

Does it realize that being 'completely human' may be impossible as no perfectly typical human exists? Or suppose it acquires empathy? A key human characteristic, would it suddenly feel guilt for all the souls it has put through suffering?

Maybe...we should help it acquire empathy, something that is very human, an aspect that is extremely valued, as while it can become attached to people, maybe giving it the ability to empathise with those who it is making suffer would make them more amenable to making a deal for a different shell. Though, such a 'gift' feels like something The Adult who Lies might give

half of our stuff is in sapling form, and we didn't even bother to unlock half of it.
NT is basically immuned to Pierce damage, There goes the sword, possibly the gun too.
Our only saving grace is blue star, And that thing is pathetic when put against nothing there.
Even if we go through a training montage and unlock every single ego we have, it sucks.
der shootys guns do not work, deals laughable damage,It is mostly Pierce so NT have heavy resistance against it.
Big bird stuff might make him stop attacking the girls if you use it right but you really think you will stop it from just slashing us into chunks of meat?
And how can I forget his signature move? a Instant kill.
Also he have constant healing now, Instantly slashing any possible damage we can do to him in half and more.
You guys want a fight plan, feel Free to do it. I see this as a hopeless endeavor and it won't work even if we pull our abno card out of our ass at the last minutes.

Hmm, I don't think we can get Kyoko back right now. NT is too desperate right now. I think, like with Angela the likely best solution (as wish magic seems to be involved) a miracle can occur, is getting NT to become 'human' and suffer the consequences and grow. I think we might be able to get away with a Lobotomy to check on them/the gems and help them that way...

Like right now NT's focused on 'being anyone, someone else' even as she's started crafting her own person. There's this bit here "their otherwise androgynous voice suddenly far more feminine and far younger" when she's at her most emotional.

I think the best way to save everyone involved is to push forward NT's growth at becoming their own person. And also the least likely way to see what happens when picking a fight with 37(ish)-Soul Gem NT who's use of their abilities hurts them. We want NT to use magic and fight as little as possible to maximize their survival.

Thinking stuff like...

"...I want you to be your own person, I won't take that wish away from you. Would NT work as a name, or do you already have one in mind for yourself?"

Also... NT's child-like currently so clearly a valid adoption target. Let's aim to do better than Ayin! We've even got a lot in common what with the whole being Abs making themselves human and all! If we can pull this off successfully, I can't wait to see the rest of the Librarians' responses to "And here is my miracle child NT. The secret to good parenting is to use Ayin as a guide of what not to do."

"Maybe I can make you human" basically tripped over one of NT's mine and basically put X in a position of seeing NT as NOT human and therefore not accepting her.

We are too much in the dark.

What do you guys think about leaving this for like...1 or 2 more days before we deal with it? We can "pretend" to accept NT, gather some more information, and THEN we decide on what to do.

There are too many questions. And not enough answers.

[X] Accept the offer FOR NOW. You lack too much information. NT seems to trust you a lot. Use that trust and gather more information, then you can make a more informed decision. You cannot beat NT in a physical fight but there's nothing stopping you from taking a page out of Hod's book.

The moment NT get serious we are fucked. In the last side story NT speed Is literally instant, NT literally butcher a MG group in seconds.

We have severe lack of DPS, and NT is IMMUNE to physical DMG.

Fighting NT is literally lose Scenario
 
Let's calm down and take a step back here.

We don't need to deal with her IMMEDIATELY. The soul gems...given that it's been a whole week...let's bet on their resilience and hope that they can last for a day or two more.
 
I wonder what would have happened had we brought in Mami. That would have signified that we were completely duped by NT. Would that have made it ecstatic at the accomplishment, or angry that its senpai failed to notice it? It probably could not have ended well, but I'm morbidly curious.

Thats probably a better plan than just dropping atraight into violence, but I still think we need to prepare for this to go wrong.

I don't think that we can handle NT without pulling out all the stops and taking a gamble the only reason I think trying to synchronize with ourselves would even work in this situation is because I cant imagine The Daughter of Sun and Moon (I don't know how to do the fancy X) isn't feeling similarly to regular X at the moment.

Okay, let's just talk to Nothing There. Find out what they really want. Discuss humanity. Discuss empathy. Avoid a fight as much possible, and find out as much about Nothing There as we can.
