Gor-Rok is pound-for-pound the best fighter of the lot, and is damn near unkillable to boot. If he and Kroq-Gar met with Grymloq out of the picture, Gor would Rok him.
Ugh. I personally disagree, but I admit it would be unfair mechanically speaking to have his one schtick be overtaken by someone who is all that and more.

Given Kroak's actual knowledge, if outdated, of the galaxy, would him being part of the search parties affect their results?

[X] Kroak - The spirit of the firstborn slaan was rejuvenated by the Deliverance - not enough to personally act on the scale of the other senior slaan, but his true strength lies in his knowledge. He retains a wealth of knowledge of the lost might the lizardmen possessed once, and will be able to restore this knowledge now that he is capable of communication once more. He is still bound to his corpse, however, and thus he relies much on his Oracle Ten-zlati, who wields potent powers through his mystical connection to the ancient slaan, as well as acting as Kroak's eyes and ears when need be. If a way to revive dead slaan is ever found, it is no doubt Kroak will be the first brought back, for his resurgent might would be a great boon to the lizardmen indeed.

Well, given that in most cases Kroq-Gar's idea of combat is charging head-on at somebody from on top of a Carnosaur, he performs better than Gor-Rok at a lot of things and can act as super bullshit cavalry, but Gor-Rok is better at shit like one-on-one duels and holding actions and shit. It's like the difference between a knight and a greatsword champion - the knight can run the champion over with his horse and flatten him no problem, but if he fights the greatsword's game he's gonna lose. Make sense?

Not really - he was technically birthed in the galaxy, but it was on board the Old One's ships, so he doesn't have any actual knowledge of what the galaxy looks like, just a vague familiarity with what the warp feels like here.

[X] Mazdamundi - The lord of Hexoatl, and the oldest of the second generation of slaan. Mazdamundi is the most active of his kin, and is incredibly skilled at manipulating the geomantic web to use in geomancy, and boasts a well-rounded mastery of every aspect of magic, as could be expected from the personal student of Lord Kroak. He commands the loyalty of the ancient saurus Kroq-Gar, and will take the oldblood with him if he does not remain.

Oxyotl and Teninhuan are hero units you get regardless of who you pick.
Sweet. An intrigue hero that is outright bullshit and a pretty damn good mage (for a Skink) that is also a link to an allied Warp God.

On a side note, was Sotek part of the conclave of gods that prevented the direct intervention of the Chaos Gods in the mortal plane in an attempt to stop The Deliverance?

Yep. The subject of his existence and what it means will additionally be a subject you can research in the main game.

and one of them was seemingly missing.
Is this the horned rat or Slaaneshi? If it's the latter than that narrows down the timeline and means we will unlikely be dealing with modern 40k factions which is both good and bad. On one hand we won't need to fight the nids with their warpshadow which could mess up our magic but on the other hand we might have to deal with a hostile Eldar empire before they fuck Slaaneshi into existence.

Probably Slaanesh. The Horned Rat has been entirely associated with the Skaven here.

The Horned Rat was never a Chaos God. He's an evil dickwad, but he doesn't have the distinct metaphysical properties that constitute a Chaos God.

The sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Looking back on it, someone who knows what the fuck all these artifacts are would be great, even if he doesn't know how to make them. All that good shit we got locked away becomes almost instantly available, with the best artifacts capable of doing crazy things. Might even be something to restore the dead slaan or up the spawning pool rates in there.

The fact that he's pretty much the Corpse-God Emperor of Lizardkind is also hilarious. While I really, really want Kroq-Gar rampaging through 40k and don't mind if Mazdamundi wins, I think Kroak would be a funner start for me.

[X] Zaqunda - Steward of Itza, Zaqunda is one of the primary reasons Itza's walls were never breached in all the years since the Great Catastrophe. Spending much of his time amongst the Relic Priests has attuned his essence to theirs, and he is more easily able to elicit their aid, and perhaps even consider a way to restore their bodies. He was chosen to be the first city's steward for a reason - he is unparalleled in defensive magic of all kinds, capable of shielding against physical and psychic attacks on a large and small scale. The great albino saurus Gor-Rok is sworn to him, and will obey any command he gives.

I think restoring the lost would be our priority. Kroak would be hanging around, if rather insensate, and I want our technologist to be out there looking for the Old Ones and looting the universe, rather than playing civ builder.

As for the world we left behind, the Orcs are going to be the worst of it probably. The Skaven lost the leadership which made them a coherent force, left leaderless and the warpstone they rely on for their bullshit disintegrated, they'd really rather kill each other instead. Nagash depends upon human stupidity.

Hmm.

THREAD ANNOUNCEMENT TIME

I just realized that Chakax isn't actually that appropriate for Chaacalot's deal. With that in mind, Oxyotl the chameleon skink is now the hero unit for Chaacalot. My apologies for not considering this beforehand, it only just clicked with me just now.

It's either Mazdamundi or Kroak, and at the moment I'm feeling more for the hilarious duo of Maz and Kroq-Gar.

So on a side note anyone want to take bets on the planet we landed on being something specific rather than just a random jungle world? Because I am betting we are on Catachan.

so they are in 40k? but before the birth 4th Chaos God?

The fledgling civilization has the SV hivemind (for better or worse...). Let the living go in search of the Old ones.

[X] Huintenuchli - Once lord of Chaqua, Huintenuchli was left without purpose when the skaven destroyed the city. On the rare occasions when he rose from his slumber, his thoughts were occupied by musings of technology and mechanical research, which is his passion. His magical speciality lends itself well to this line of thought, for he is talented in the construction of magitek devices, enhancing armor and weapons to be more effective, and destroying the devices of his enemies - breaking walls, crushing soldiers in their armor, and causing machines to behave however he wishes. On one occasion he was beset in his sleep by a Norscan Chaos Lord, and was saved by the intervention of the mythical kroxigor Nakai, who he has formed an affinity with in the time since.

[X] Adohi-Tegha - The lord of Tlaxtlan, Adohi-Tegha is one of the best slaan at reading and interpreting the web of fate, and possesses a potent affinity at wielding magic related to manipulating the physical world - telekinesis, weather control, conjuring bolts of energy and teleportation are but examples of areas he holds a speciality in. In his service is the powerful skink priest Tiktaq'to, who will accompany his master wherever his path takes him.

You know if we are pre-Slaanesh Birth then that means we could potentially save one of the Eldar gods from being eaten or at the very least we can try to make it so Khaine deals a bit more damage during the fight.

I personally more interested in Interaction with Emperor. Maybe we will get our hands on one of Primarch? I love to get our hands on Magnus or Curze.
