Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Can an effect such as Disintegrate or Burn be falsely upgraded to a higher tier version of itself by combining it with a Collateral Damage variant when targeting a Giant Enemy?
Considering what the upgraded forms of those are? Probably not.
Well, improve the effect in some way. Lighting a lot of the body on fire instead of only a small section of the body.
Sega:
"Actually, this would be possible, but only in very specific circumstances. The easiest being an elemental weakness to the corresponding attack. Otherwise the percentile is more like the amount of the body that the super-magic-burn actually sticks through the enemy's magical resistances."

eh. How fancy can you get with celestial severance. As I understand it's a 2 d plane of murderous fuck you. Can you use the flat? Can you thrusts?

And you charge telegraph bisecting juugernaut only to juke and rotate to slap the spear away to Cleve it?

Star shine is many many murderous bolts. Couldn't you exercise some trigger discipline and spray tiny bursts?
Anastasia:
"Not very I'm afraid. Celestial Severance is an explosive increase to the cutting edge of the Panzer Blade, and the white pane you see trailing after it is closer to the aftershock of the spell's effect on space. The pane itself is dictated by the swing arc of the blade, because it's actually tracing the cut made in space. Which is also why anything that touches the pane while it' still around takes damage.

"If I attempted to 'smack' something away with Celestial Severance, the thing it hits will instead be cleaved apart. That's how sharp that leading edge is. To the point I could slice clean through a stronger power with it. Also, with a bit of practice in controlling the blade itself, I would also use the swing arc to inscribe an impassible barrier between myself and an incoming attack. Kind of like what Rei does with her Oblivion Shield thingy."

Sega:
"Not all spells have solely offensive functions. A bit of creative use could turn a strong, but limited offensive spell, into a wonderfully effective defensive spell as well."

If this is still going on....

How powerful would Rei be if she used all her EXP the best she could?

Does having Magical Gi4rsl with High Existences in a area impact things happening around them, like how gravity pulls things into orbit?

Rei:
"I have close to 15,000 Experience pooled up. Think about that."

Anastasia:
"Not... really? Fate doesn't really work that way in this setting. Sure it tends towards effects similar to gravity depending on the weight of the Souls involved, but not to the point that it's significant. At least, not at our level."

And before anyone asks, no I'm not giving you free xp to make up the sudden gap.

I fucked up, yes, but That's on me.

That, in combination with a previous statement that you have a Super Ability in your range...
What stops you from just getting it? A requirement yet to fulfill, or does it cost more EXP than you have?
Rei:
"Mostly a lack of need for power. As I am, I solidly hold the #1 spot completely uncontested. Even as strong as she is, Ichi is significantly weaker than I am. That 15k I haven't spent on miscellaneous throw-away is there just in case the Unified Darkness comes up with something that I actually need to get serious about. Like say... a re-spawning Demon Lord or something silly like that."

Ah, I see.

You just jinxed it. :V

We don't need EXP,
We have cuteness!Seriously, even juggernaut drive couldn't help but jump on us,and we are a weapon of mass destruction capable of untold destruction.

Please don't delete ALL our EXP for this comment.

Uhm...
We know that the current Dark Lord can win reliably against any of the Goddess Four IIRC, is this EXP bank included in the hypothetical fight? Or it's something that could change the outcome?

Ok, here's the new XP Plan.

[X] [EXP] Plan Faster
-[X] Upgrade Flight to level 27 (510 XP)

We don't really have the XP to get the next HSC level, but every bit of speed helps.

And the plan vote to make sure my vote for it isn't lost.

[X] Plan Grab Her Mark 3
-[X] Activate Core Purge, make sure that it's targeting Juggernaut Drive's Control Seal instead of her, and keep it active until she's down
-[X] Try to get Juggernaut Drive within Core Purge range, while avoiding that spear. If Sega's in danger though, try to take the hit for her
-[X] Ask Sega how Juggernaut's spell works.
--[X] If Juggernaut throws her spear, avoid intercepting Juggernaut's attacks
--[X] If Juggernaut has to get in close and stab, consider deliberately getting Juggernaut to cast her spell at you so as to bring her in Core Purge range
-[X] Yell to Sega that if she can do it safely, she should grab Juggernaut and hold her still
-[X] If possible, block Juggernaut's attacks with the skills you've learned.

We should probably avoid intercepting regardless, except for purposes of defending Sega. Intercepting JD's regular attack, causing her to cast her spell, actually results in us taking more damage than we would if we just flew into the attacks path to block it with our body.
If Juggernaut has to get close to us to hit us with her spell, then I think the potential to get this fight over with is worth some pain. Besides, we've got a once per turn save from death. I think we can handle it.
