The problem I see with that is if it turns the power armor into a shrapnel compactor which doesn't sound very non-lethal.
If the attack could vaporize non-living matter that would make sense for not killing the pilot. But beyond that it's hard to envision a method of utterly destroying the armor without doing the same to the pilot.

You seem to think we're overly concerned about Saint's health.

....That's exactly what it does. Hell, it's been shown in Nanoha that they can blast people and only end up destroying the non-living matter with the most damage the person being hit taking is burnt clothes.

You're forgetting the the raw Kinetic force but I suppose it doesn't matter if they die or not.

You're forgetting that we're working with an intelligent device that accounts for things like that when it's set to non-lethal.

Also, that Nanoha has hit people with beams much stronger than ours, and they weren't affected by kinetic forces.

Actually I'm pretty sure that the beams are supposedly NOT kinetic in nature as the TSAB classifications hold kinetic weaponry under a different grouping if I am remembering correctly. If I am right, this negates his point entirely.

They have a separate category for mass weaponry, which is basically everything we're familiar with. Hitting somebody with some physical object. Magic does deliver kinetic force, or can, or something like that.

I think the intent of the plan is to start it up immediately before firing, so there shouldn't be any time to react to noticing it... any more than Quatro was able to run away after spotting it.
 
And the less detail you put into your votes, sometimes the less I have to write around them to make something entertaining to read.
Just a heads up, if the QM has to say that they might need to write around a plan to make a good update it might behoove people to stop and consider that perhaps they might be making a massive mistake.

Depends on what he means by that. He could mean that "the update will be bad because while the plan would work it would be boring" as stories without tension tend to be, or he could mean "bad for the character". Either way, meh... people will vote as they will. That's kind of the point of these things.

Make the plan too intricate/detailed and the tiniest thing we didn't plan for can easily derail things.
