[x] Plan: Son of Frankensteining My Plan Once Again
-[x] The big idea: Get lots of intel on Klyssar from the shipwreck, hacking, and drugs-enhanced interrogation, deny intel from Klyssar using psy encryption. Drugs also have a chance to provide less-lethal munitions immediately, good for handling slave soldiers.
Made some edits to my plan.
  • Removed the redundant "send in bots, work with W" part from the Klyssar assault order and added in a line item about hacking it ahead of time to spy on the station.
    • Our shields will be repaired, so we can take the risk of being damaged again to get an intel advantage.
  • The Cogitare NGO is now headed by Anexa and Vita, instead of just Vita.
  • Added the above quoted forward to make the plan's purpose more clear because I decided to give it a funny name instead of an informative one.

As a reminder - Drugs has turned out to be a really good pick for our current situation, between being usable for interrogations of our prisoners for Klyssar intel, for W to track down the remaining cultists on Secondus and find out about any converts they've made, and for getting the aforementioned less-lethals for the Klyssar operation. Lastly, they are a requirement for mood regulators, an anti-chaos implant tech:
-[] Mood Regulators (100 RP) Interfacing the implant with the brain's emotional centers will allow it to regulate emotional states. Potentially useful to help the bearer regulate dangerous emotions like fear, lust, anger, greed, sloth, as well as emotional outbursts when such would be dangerous for them. Also potetnialyl useful for interrogation. (Your implants that can help with - or destroy - mental stability. Useful for those engaged with Chaos, and for unstable psykers. May unlock more technology geared towards ensuring a stable mental condition). Locked behind Drugs? Drugs.
A minor one, mind, but after all the other pros it's just gravy, really.

[x] Plan: Son of Frankensteining My Plan Once Again
--[X] This is an edit of Meianmaru's plan. Link has his explanation, this link has mine. Edits in bold.
I'm the original plan-maker, and I approve this further frankenstein'ing of my plan.

There might be need for some futher adjustments if something comes up from Neablis, but the basic premise has my vote. Especially because it seems that superconductive shenanigans won't likely require refits in the manufacturies themselves, but instead be a cost-free change in what they would make. Changing that for new drugs for non-lethal takedowns and such seems like a pretty good investment right now, even more with what it opens up in research.

Also, asked Prime 2.0 on discord for making the Cogitare -part more like KyleDaScourge's plan, with Vita and Anexa in charge of it. Which I think makes sense, because of Anexa is in charge of them most of time. With Vita just occasionaly coming down to look what the weird cyborg people who worship her as a manifestation/messenger/messiah of their god are doing, and then to say a couple of encouraging words.

[X] Plan: Son of Frankensteining My Plan Once Again

[X] Plan: Omnissiah Vult! V3
I like this plan too otherwise, except for one very important thing to me: Why no psychic encryption, @KyleDaScourge? Like Neablis said:
Two author comments:
1. Psychic encryption is an interesting tech. It's almost entirely defensive, and most of the time you won't know when it's done it's job. Are the Eldar scrying on you and making decisions based on that scrying? Maybe. You won't know about it until it's too late. Same with Chaos. This isn't me telling you to get it. The name of the game is opportunity costs. But it's the kind of tech where if you wait until you know you need it, it's too late.
And I currently think that at least better machine spirit resistance is just not worth it when compared to it. We already have very bare-bones psy tripwires on top of the basic resistance that the Machine Spirits have. Even finishing the initial faith-studies isn't worth it. I just don't want to be again fucked over by our lack of anti-divination and anti-information-transfer against psychic threats.

Boring updates means more updates.
Just mentioned it because a while ago you asked us to chill with the one-note, all-research turns.

Well, only 7k bots (and 100 tanks) in my current version of the plan.

Klyssar is big enough to use some light tanks to break strong points with.

[] Plan: Secure the system
-[][Repair Bay]: spent in Construction
-[][Aetherion] Keep.
-[] Boons:
--[] Help conquer Klyssar's nest (+1)
--[] transfer OMC/machine spirit technology (+1)
--[] transfer corruption defenses, including all Psychic shielding, Cognition Filter & warp sensors. This will also mandate you to transfer basic cultist detection if you get it. (+1)
--[][Boon] Permanent Manufacturing capacity x 2
--[][Boon] Specialized Crew (Diplomats for Victan)
--[][Boon] Specialized Crew (Cogitare for Anexa)
--[][Boon] Psykers
-[] Construction (600 VBP + 15000 single use boon + 1000 Repair Bay / 500 Lift Capacity):
--[] Psychic Shielding Outer Hull (7/240 HP -> 240/240 HP) [1000 Repair Bay BP gone] (165 BP)
--[] 125 BP structure damage
--[] Replace Psychic Experimentation Lab (-200 BP, as well as -675 BP for Max Shields,*1.5 due to being inside a completed ship) (1215 BP)
--[] Fix up Aetherion orbital manufactories to MS manufactories (13000 BP)
--[] Specter x 2000 (200 BP)
--[] Medium Humanized Machine-spirit Infantry Bots x 2000 (200 BP)
--[] Heavy Machine-spirit humanized Infantry Bots x 2000 (350 BP)
--[] Heavy Machine-spirit humanized Infantry Bots with Machine Spirit Jammers x 1000 (190 BP)
--[] Light Machine-spirit tanks x 100 (150 BP)
--[] 5/3000 Large Shipyard repair (5 BP)
-[] Research x1 (200 + 80 (Anexa) + 60 (Anexa staff) = 340 RP) 0.2 per over
--[] A Curio Cabinet of Cultists (100 RP)
---[] Anexa assist
--[] Psychic Encryption (150 RP)
--[] Superconductive Shenanigans (50 RP)
--[] Intelligence Coding (40 Overflow)
-[] Orders: Salvage the remnant pieces of the Echo of Apotheosis
-[] Orders: Klyssar's Rest must be liberated as soon as reasonably possible, as soon as our forces have been replenished, assist Denva with the liberation of the station from the raiders who've overtaken it. Use our Stealth Shuttles and Specters to hopefully sneak in and establish beachheads for our heavies to secure, and then start breaking heads, using Cia and her bodyguard as a quick reaction force and mobile reserve. Use the tanks to break hard points.
-[] Anexa active Action: Research
-[] Victan passive action: Counterespionage & Alliance-building
-[] Cia: Assist with a military action: Assault on Klyssar

Rationale for changes: permanent cogitare recruitment has been stated to be quite useful, so it is worth the investment. We can get a second permanent manufactoring boon from Denva when we hand Aetheriton in, if we want it.

And Drugs? Drugs. can be used in the assault on Klyssar's Nest.

You know if we're getting a crew for Victan we should probably make it a mix of diplomats and spies considering his specialities

Is this a notable distinction for mechanical purposes, @Neablis ? E.g. can I split it between 50 diplomats and 50 spies and have that matter.

If he says yes I'll probably make the change in the morning. Regarding spy stuff this turn, I'm generally trusting Victan to handle that beneath abstraction rather than telling him exactly what to do.

Notably, 4-action research turns are long but boring. 4-construction action turns will be short and boring. That's the difference I'm calling out.

Not significant.

In general, I'd like to try pulling back on some of the extensive write-ins a bit. They're fun, but it's causing the complexity of the quest to balloon beyond what I'm happy with.

--[X] Build 40x Basic Stealth Assault Shuttles (-1,000 BP, -200 CP, +40 Shuttles, +4,000 Troop Transport Capacity)
--[X] Build 4 free floating Spaceports to support 40 Assault Shuttles. (-400 BP, -100 CP, +40 Shuttle Capacity)
--[x] Repair the maximum amount of Aetherion Orbital Manufactories to Machine Spirit standards (9700 VBP)
The Frankensteining continues. This change, copied shamelessly from Vult, I haven't made yet - I'm not sure how much spare shuttle capacity we can expect from Denva (@Neablis ?), or if we'd need this much to really marshal our troops over in good order.

More generally, I just wanna see if people are on board with it, since it would come out of the Manufactories budget - ours is smaller than Vult's because we're building the warp lab for studying the curios better.

Mind, I'm not too torn up about that because after this turn we won't be nearly so BP limited anyways, and can finish the rest of the factories fairly easily. The rest of that turn will likely be 2x research, 1x diplomacy so we can start catching up on all of the absolutely everything that we're behind on, lol.

Gotchya. My vibes on that have been that you're more interested in specifying goals, assets, and maybe one or two key ideas beyond that.

Seems like a good idea to me. Still, as this takes more away from manufacturing repairs, superconductive shenanigans becomes more appealing for the next turn to improve our manufacturing faster. Shouldn't be a problem with how cheap when it comes to RP it is and having (with a good chance) free implementation.

It's because I expect us to try getting it and its follow-up "faith, but not shitty" tech, which neablis said will cost between 100 and 250 RP depending on rolls. Or at least, that we'll strongly consider it.

Kinda important to pay forward on that, though I certainly appreciate the support for Intelligence Coding.

Aight! Applied the change, I can always switch back if Neablis clarifications cause a problem with our assumptions.

Not really feeling the Cogitare intervention. Not on this level at least. We just set up two Cogitare colonies with direct goals of expansion and recruitment. They seemed quite enthusiastic about proselytizing too.

It'd be a shame if they died out in their place of origin, though, right? Moreover we need tech-priests in proportion with our manufacturing base in each system if we don't want to be CP blocked after we get warp comms.

They also answer to us in general, so that's pretty useful to have as a political entity around here. Helps keep things stable.
