Any vote for "decline to get involved" is essentially wasting the action. If we didn't want to get involved with Eldric, we could have done literally anything other than talk to Yorbert.

[X] [Royce] Write-in (Subject to QM Approval) Agree to write Jeyne, but only to ask what she plans to do with Eldric. In the letter to Jeyne, mention that Eldric is her closest present relation and that you are not worried about him inheriting, provided he is raised right, but that you would be equally unopposed to him being raised to be sent to the Citadel, as long as the matter is sorted.

[x] [Royce] send a letter about your talk with Royce, to Jeyne. Say that the success of the vale is her right and that we will support her, but half joke about your future children and their supposed technical line of succession, out of curiosity?
I think this one needs a bit of clarifying at the start. Do you mean something like "Deciding her sucession is her right and that we will support her"?

That feels a bit like trying to play all angles but I can't argue against it, approved.

I'm fairly amused this is an option. I guess an asoiaf quest wouldn't be complete without the option to become a skirt chaser. And servants do tend to know good gossip if we wanted it lol.

It's utterly bizarre to watch how people were dead set on having to "deal with the Edric situation" and now opting to be so non-committed that they are doing nothing.

And we are yet again ignoring Isembard Arryn for no real reason.

I will say, if you guys want to talk with Steffon now that's fine but I feel like some of you think you need to talk to him right away and like, you guys have an entire trip to interact with him. This is the third stop of sixteen total.

Wow, this is quite divided!
My opinion is that he is only 3 years old, so he currently isn't a big enough deal for us to get into it, so just let jeyne handle it.
I'm just more interested in what jeyne will think on the opinion of one of Rhaenyra future children having an actual chance at becoming heir of the vale.

As for Isembard Arryn while I'm somewhat interested what his thoughts are, he just doesn't seem to be important enough. He probably wants to talk about succession of the vale, and wanting to maybe gain some support to raise his family or something, I'm guessing.

I rarely vote in quests let alone provide a write in, but could I offer a subtle variant on one of the approved options?

[] [Royce] Write-in (Subject to QM Approval) Agree to write to Jeyne. In your letter, ask what her plans are for her succession, explaining Royce's interest, and your desire to support her choice whatever it may be - she may rest assured that when you are Queen you will back your cousin fully. Merely ask that if she intends for one of your children to inherit one day that she give you plenty of notice so as to codify such succession clearly and cleanly, and if she does not intend for Eldric to inherit she find some way to disinherit him and avoid another civil war.

I feel like I definitely screwed up by not giving more of a hook with Isembard, my bad. But I will say it's not that. Jeyne's twenty, Royce cares because Arnold was his ward. As far as the rest of the realm is concerned, Jeyne will be ruling for generations to come so the issue of sucession is not important right now.

Jeyne can't deny Rhaenyra ended that business faster and "cleaner" than she could have at the moment. So she needs a little push to remind her that yes, she needs to sort this one of at some point before it becomes an actual problem.

PS: Redfort can wait. Arryn not so much.
