We absolutely need to take some massive actions to integrate genetic and biological transhumanism, as well as the cybernetic transhumanism that is passed down via hereditary means (ie, the babies and children grow cybernetics as they grow up that they inherit from their parents) into our culture. How else will we have a bunch of happy productive strains of super-citizens? Forget super-soldiers, super-spies, and super-leaders, we need to have a bunch of different and fun and lifestyle-improving options for super-citizens! Also the idea that there would be anything resembling 'baseline' humans after tens of thousands of years of living on vastly different planets under vastly different evolutionary pressures and dramatic and regular active artificial manipulation of the genome from all corners is a bad and stupid joke. Also, eugenics is horrific, we need to obsolete that shit right the fuck now and give our people a better way!

I think I'm slightly more worried about the ongoing sector-wide war.

Decided to swap out the symphony for more songs. Yet more solutions to various chaotic problems, including foresight, singing, etc. Also our first healing song. And maybe we get to find out what ULTIMATE GROUNDING does.

For Melodies I'm grabbing the Love melody finally, which seems appropriate since we yoinked that domain from Slan-slan, so it would be nice to incorporate it into some songs to use against them. Then Sunset and Dawn seem like great combos with Sun and Star in some way, and Harmony should go nicely with our whole song-theme, like a doubled-up version of Song.

War stuff is... war stuff. Unleash our factories, approach our fleetcap, reinforce the battlefields. Etc, etc. And of course use the symphony to integrate the Black Ash.

I'm flexible on Melody Song options if people have other suggestions. And if we can't sing 2 symphonies I'll replace the second symphony action with either more songs or more melodies.
I actually think they're pretty good -- no real objections. The Hush one is pretty good since I assume it was chosen to counter the Slaaneshi?

--[] Unharmed By Power Iridescently Whispering - Grounding, Protection, Grounding, Creativity, Silence
I'm a bit curious on this one -- did you choose for it to be a more active Shield / Defense song, or against Chaos Corruption, or something else? I think we're pretty set on that with Soul's Shield and Diverting Power, but more safety measures aren't a bad idea.

--[] Burn Bright Against Reality - Fire, Hope, Struggle, Grounding, Protection
--[] Cloud Their Ways Seen - Paths, The Void, Perception, Prophecy, Song
No real objections again, but what're your goals for these as well? Just trying to figure them out. I figure you're trying to disrupt the routes of our foes for the second, and I suppose buff our guys up with the first, but is this just a general aim or a specific focus that you feel needs to be addressed?

As for suggestions...

See what defies us - Perception, Silence, Protection, Struggle

This feels pretty important as it seems we're getting shadowrunned again and more information-gathering songs is always a good idea IMO

Hide And Divulge Their Sight - Silence, Protection, Grounding, Perception
Hide And Divulge Their Sight From Our Home - Silence, Protection, Grounding, Perception, Home

Blind Our Foes - Void Perception Struggle

Same for these, but I figure the third is probably just what we want. Just Fuck Them Up lol

You Shall Find No Reprieve From The Just Blade - Humanity Ruthlessness Perception Perception Justice

And this one is for active hunting of sabotage among others -- Foretold Luminous Paths disrupts prophecy stuff, but this one actively helps us hunt things down, I think

And as always, some sort of healing song is something I'll suggest, but it's in lessened priority since we got Irritaboosted I think. But some candidates are...

Hands That Heal - Mercy,Compassion,Health
(generic healing)
Recovery From The Edge - Protection Health Death
(getting people back from hardcore crisis cases)
Luminous Aid - Health, Compassion, Mercy, Wisdom, The Star
(this one is just a gut feel, but i think it's worth pursuing)

Also, as noted, Groundingx5 because might as well figure out what a 5x melody song is but also might just be the key to fuck rituals up (if QM wasn't joking), and Laser Beam Of Magic - Sun, Fire, Death, Void to give us more tactical options than Promethean Gaze I suppose (but also it sounds cool)

I'm not a big fan about hereditary cybernetic transhumanism -- I think that should be more of a choice for those who get them, IMO.

As for the eugenics stuff, it sucks a load but that's 40k. I think we're in a good spot to handle it though, because iirc we can treat or handle mutations better with higher Medical Infrastructure, and we have significant discounts available for developing that infrastructure.

We'll have to see where we can squeeze it in before the quest ends, but I think it's fairly possible if we can at least finish off the Khornates. We'll see though.

As for the baseline human stuff, things don't operate on pure biology in this canon, see here: Sterbelicht - One Sacrifice At A Time Against The Galaxy (40K) Mature - Sci-Fi

(Also if things are any inclination about the Psychic Awakening, super-citizenry will happen probably through uh, mass psyker proliferation in the population, but that's gonna be way-post epilogue I figure).

And I see Neablis has posted their plan, so uh, there goes half my post lol

It was mostly another anti-tzeentch song, but on second thought I think one of those is enough. Replaced with See what defies us
See what defies us - Perception, Silence, Protection, Struggle

This might be a good "Hey, squidboy. Where you hidin'? Come out so I can kick you in the balls!" song. And that's something I want to do.

I actually think Burn Bright Against Reality might be pretty cool actually - it could either be a nice combat buff, or like a civilizational buff of some kind. It's a bit of a wildcard but I like the vibe quite a lot.

The second one was basically a "screw your prophecy" but I think Blind our Foes is probably better for that. Not just screw your prophecy but also screw you.

Luminous Aid - Health, Compassion, Mercy, Wisdom, The Star
Oh I also like this one. I forgot we had Promethean Gaze - seems better to diversify instead of grabbing yet another "And now you DIE" Song.

Can we afford a hypothetical two point boost to our Tremors though? A Warp Storm triggering right now would be catastrophic for us and a boon to them, since Chaos doesn't actually get hurt by Warp Storms even when they should

[] [Military] Design New Voidship Classes - [Available: Destroyer (1 DP), Frigate (2 DP), Light Cruiser/Freighter (4 DP), Heavy Cruiser/Freighter (8 DP), Grand Cruiser (16 DP), Temple Ship (25 DP), Battleship (50 DP)] - [80 DP]
Can we fit this action somewhere to get the Pantagruel upgraded with an exterminatus lance?
QM-approved design. Neat.

[] [Temple Ship] The Pantagruel
-[] Length
- 7.200 Meters (+1 DP)
-[] Width - 1.250 Meters (0 DP)
-[] Acceleration - 2.5 Gravities (0 DP)
-[] Armor - Thick Bulwark Hull (0 DP)
-[] Shields - One Aegis (0 DP)
-[] Weapons - Wings of Resplendence (-15 DP)
-[] Equipment - A Drop of Divinity (-55 DP)

Or maybe Pantagruel-Secundus? I don't know, I'm not good with naming things. This is more intended to be a refit than something entirely new.

A reminder as well, that while tremors are trending down, they were last turn too, and yet the value is unchanged. Which means either it's a very small downward trend, or something added more.

Looks like Neablis dropped the second Symphony, so looks like we should be good on that front.

I like the broad look of the songs picked up -- hopefully we can grab Aethyrmetric's next turn, but this is a good mix of protection and proactivity with some esoterics picked up.
I've always preferred the genetic ascension to the psionic and cybernetic and synthetic, imho.
I'd just be happy if we can have a good epilogue, but fair.

I think one of the Medical Infra options when we hit X was more freely used cybernetics, so there's that. Genes will probably depend entirely on Med infra, research, and whatever DAOT sites we can afford to hit later. We still have Bone-Mender's Temple, after all.

Oh....

Wow

Ladies and Gentleman, the Final Boss of our Research list, absolutely no way we're completing this without a Symphony, and maybe the Aethyrmetric action above.
Honestly if we want it we should probably just offer more tech to the Duchy to get it. 30 tech trade points is a lot but 59 tech development actions is more. Also it would probably discounted since they already sold us the earlier techs.

@Neablis I like the plan - we get a lot done in it. However, I think we might want to back off from using Symphonies for the moment. Given that the Warp Tremor Gauge has been stuck at Medium for a few turns now, plus this update's Mollusc Text, I think that we should expect it to surge in a turn or two, I'd rather not have to fight the cults in a Warp Storm when we are having trouble dealing with them now.

So what happens if we sing 2 symphonies? We can only have 1 active at a time? And if we don't want to trigger a warp-storm.
You sing two Symphonies. You can have as many active as you desire.
Neablis said:
@HeroCooky If we sing Unto Works Generational, does the Black Cat integration go from 4 actions to 3 actions? It's a 4-cost general action after all?
No, those are sub-components that each require full attention to complete without issue.
Neablis said:
Also - the following plan is legal under the rules, but you can tell us that it's bullshit and is going to cause a warp storm and we need to chill.
It is right on the edge.
It's just the local population being afraid of the technology.

Cowards, really.
A small reminder that humanity fucking around with its genes and augmentations is around two-thirds of what made everything fall to shit as per official lore, with AI rebellion only making up the last third. People acting on the lingering scars from the human oversoul is not cowardice, it is PTSD.

I though the whole psychic bloom and warp storms where the big problem, anx that was the Eldars fault.

The only biomutants that can be argued to have brought down civilization on a galactic level would be the spacemarines, and people are okay with those.
