[X] A step back. See, feel, experience the driving force of a life ending grudge. You are not Shu Yue, and should not try to be.

Because LQ isn't Shue Yue nor should she aim for someone like them.

[X] Endure. Remain as far immersed as you can while remaining whole. Until the end.

I understand people's fear but come on that's not even the real lesson, just an exercice the teacher gave us to do before the exam.

If Ling Qi can't even endure that low level grudge then why do we want to go to the Roots ?
I want Ling Qi prepared for the mess that's coming.

This is a training exercise with a kiddy vase Shu Yue gave us, and it's a good opportunity ot maximise our learning experience. The whole point of learning grudges is to understand their origins and the mindset that leads to them, and that experience will be diluted by watching from the outside in. This is a learning experience, and following Shu Yue's steps here before crafting an art is not becoming them. The fail condition is creating an art like theirs, not going through a similar experience.

It'll also be really good preparation for remaining distinct while immersed. The previous updates showed that Ling Qi struggles with it and needs Sixiang's support to do so. I'd like to develop skills independent of other people, if possible. Based on how it's framed, Way-breaking and this skill tree will be used in high-tension environments, so being as prepped as possible will only do us good, especially with the war arc coming up.

Plus, I appreciate this arc and how it discusses serious matters. Yrs has shown that he can write a wide range of experiences competently, and I enjoy it.

While I do understand why people want to continue being as immersed, I don't think it would actually help us.
