The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

Anyway, fun-fact, there exists canonical Femboy Adeptus Astartes. Korban Xarchos, Thousand Sons Sorcerer and personal apprentice of Ahriman from the "Atlas Infernal".

His stomach had long been empty but if there had been anything in it then Czevak was sure that he would have brought it up on the deck. His centre of gravity seemed to flip and his surroundings assumed a fresh terror. He was no longer in the dank catechorium of an Ordo Hereticus Black Ship.

The unsmiling Inquisitorial serfs were gone and in their place were droves of misshapen cultists, dressed in gaudy robes and afflicted with warped limbs and horrific mutations. They manned consoles and stations on a colossal, labyrinthine bridge, waiting in attendance on larger figures on the huge command deck who were all finished in cobalt and gold.

The vessel interior had a flowing architecture with features and equipment rolling fluidly into one another, as though dissolved by some unnatural force that seemed to hang in the crackling air. Even the gigantic viewports appeared melted into irregularity and revealed the dusty, red surface of Etiamnum III gently spinning below them. The Hexenguard were no longer hulking figures in blessed plate but Traitor Space Marines in ancient power armour, helmeted Thousand Sons in blistering azure, clutching bolters and waiting obediently for orders. The only armoured figures without helmets were the cloaked sorcerers who acted like lieutenants on the bridge, their unhealthy features glowing with dark power and minds in constant congress with the warp.

Chief among these was an androgynous tyrant standing where Sister Archangela Voightdecker had been. With the traitor Space Marinesand sorcerers standing about him, Czevak could only reason that he had never been an Ordo Hereticus prisoner aboard the Divine Thunder at all. His present predicament was far worse than that. His prison was in fact a Chaos Marine battle-barge belonging to the Thousand Sons traitor legion, masked through the duration of his confinement using Tzeentchian illusory magic.

'Yes,' Xarchos hissed his insistence.

'Bolt pistol jammed and exploded,' Czevak gagged. 'Thought I was dead.'

'Another?'

'Mind is sharp,' Czevak said, 'but lived beyond my years. I am a tired soul waiting in a cadaver's body.'

'You have repugnance for this body?'

'Long time…'

'And repugnance for yourself,' Xarchos insisted. 'For you have not the courage to take your life, hoping that another may do it for you. The infamous Bronislaw Czevak – who fears no one – but himself.'

'Yes,' Czevak coughed, spitting blood and phlegm.

'One more,' Xarchos said. 'A deep disgrace.'

'I ache for a girl I cannot have,' Czevak admitted, tears streaming down the sides of his battered face. The androgynous giant savoured Czevak's cruel honesties.

'You think to tell me what I will and will not do, apprentice?'

'I live to serve you. But you are not yourself, my master,' Korban Xarchos told him, his face now remaining that of the androgynous giant.
In the same book, Ahriman hands, are described as delicate.
Czevak threw forward his face and spat a stringy gruel of blood and saliva into Ahriman's blazing eyes. Blinking, the Thousand Sons sorcerer unclipped one of his gauntlets and brought a glowing hand to his god-like face. With delicate fingertips he wiped the blood and spit from his eyes before rubbing the spittle between fingers and thumb with interest.

So, it seems that Magnus geneseed often results in androgynous or feminine traits in one way or another. So if we want to make Chapter of Space Marine Femboys, we should use Pure Magnus or Magnus mixed with Fulgrim.

Just saying for those curious.

I've been thinking, what if we unlocked the Night Lords, and then made a chimeric gene-seed with Night Lords + Sanguinius. Try to make the ultimate seer chapter(also vampire-maxxing).

The thing about Guilliman is that he is the one who granted Grimm access to Traitor Legion Gene-Seed and the Allowance to create Chimeric variants so he has no reason to be at all surprised about that.
Also he was still Lord Commander when Grimm created the Light Bringers using Alpha Legion Gene-Seed and the Steel Champions using the Iron Warriors. + the Keepers of Truth using Word Bearer Chimeric.
So he oversaw the creation of 3 Chapters using Traitor Gene-Seed and 1 Chapter using Chimeric.
(The Keepers of Truth were the last Chapter Grimm made before Guilliman fell into his coma).

Honestly, I would not be surprised if his response to Cawl talking ablout Grimm's use of Traitor Gene-Seed is a result of his preexisting concerns about Cawl getting access to them.
He literally gave Grimm access to TGS on the condition that Grimm refuses to grant Cawl access.

Which naturally means that Archmagos Grimm is the only Genetor with clearance to study the Gene-Seed of the Chapters of the Long Founding.
In order to protect their secrets.
And because as their Creator he is the one most likely to notice any deficiences/mutations in their Gene-Seed Tithe.
This in turn explains why no Chapter of The Long Founding has born any Successor Chapters.
As, access to the Vaults containing their Gene-Seed on Mars is restricted to only Grimm himself.

Mind you , the only Chapters with Gene-Seed "safe" for use comes from:
Chapter #1001 The Verdant Eyes: The only Salamander Successor Chapter to be formed before the Third Founding and thus the First Successor Chapter of the Salamander Legion
Possible Successors could inherit Increased Psykers, Future Sight, Boosted Implantation Success Rate. Nothing worrying here.
Chapter #1002 The Dark Peregrinnes, The Scourge of The Emperor: Typical Raven Guard Successor Gene-Seed.
Chapter #1006 The Eternal Guard: Typical Imperial Fists Successor Chapter.
BUT Original Genetic Material Obtained Directly From Rogal Dorn!
All the others arew either Complicated/Problematic (Seraph Brotherhood) or out right illegal (LB/SC/KoT/GS).

I personally think that the Raven Guard are the best choice for counter-rebellion work, not just because they specialize in reconnaissance and precision stealth ops, but because Corvus Corax had anti-tyranny sympathies, and some of that has likely passed to his gene-sons. This should make them much better at quelling rebellions with minimal collateral damage, possibly even addressing the root cause of 'legitimate' revolts (e.g. egregiously corrupt nobility).

Now my bleeding democratic socialist heart leans toward Plan CROW, but I could settle for Plan Ravens of Rhodes or even a Fleets based Raven Guard option, if we want to go with something less likely to trigger backlash from the Imperium's conservative elements.

Really, I think it depends on how hard we want to push for a potentially reformist pathway. Plan CROW would be higher risk, definitely, but could also yield decidedly positive wider social/political developments for humanity down the line if it pays off.

EDIT: Note that one of the quest tags does literally say 'imperium bad'. This may be our shot to begin rectifying that.

[X] Plan: Fuck it democracy time.
-[X] The Word Bearers: More than any other Legion, the Word Bearers, Sons of Lorgar Aurelian, creator of the Imperial Creed and the First Heretic, were masters of spreading ideals. Any Chapter born from them is likely to spread the teachings of their home planet far and wide. Beyond this, they were a generalist Legion, practicing all forms of war, though their investment in promoting their own philosophy and ideology makes them skilled at countering those who attempt the same.
-[X] Atherena: A planet that followed a democratic government, and worshiped a local goddess of wisdom prior to the Great Crusade. Oddly enough, it seemingly spontaneously secularized very shortly before the Great Crusade arrived in its orbit. Some fear democracies are too vulnerable to Chaos's corruptive effects, but considering they made it through the Heresy you don't think that's much of a concern here. (Segmentum Solar).
--[X] 1 Charges of Adaptive Gene-Seed.
--[X] 1 Charges of Potent Gene-Seed.

Let's fucking ball and see what happens.

[X] Plan: He's Right Behind Me, Isn't He?
-[X] The Alpha Legion: The Gene-Seed derived from the traitorous Alpharius is, despite it's origins, very pure as the physical is concerned, with no noticeable mutations beyond the fact that Alpha Legionaires tend to so closely resemble their father as to be able to impersonate him convincingly. On the mental side the Alpha Legion's Gene-Seed seems to create more secretive Astartes with a greater sense of initiative, resulting in them being masters of intelligence gathering, sabotage, and all other forms of indirect warfare.
-[X] Fleet Based: The Chapter is fleet based and will be constantly on the move, but as a result will lack a proper home unless it decides to claim a world for its own in the future.

Scariest thing about the IRS is that they're always there, even when you aren't looking. Want a chapter with extremely wide reach.

-[X] The Raven Guard: The Gene-Seed belonging to the Sons of Corvus Corax no longer has a Mucranoid or Betcher's Gland, resulting in the lack of the acidic spit and the loss of the ability to generate an outer coating to protect the body against extreme environments such as the void of space, and causes a cosmetic mutation in the form of unnaturally pale skin... but the Raven Guard, despite their crippled numbers after Istvaan III, are a worthy lineage as any other. They are specialists in stealth warfare, and are more capable in guerilla war than any other.

-[X] Penancia II: During the Heresy the planet of Penancia II sent a great many soldiers to aid in the loyalists' cause. Despite the fact no one in the Imperium even slightly blames them for it - it's not like they were the ones flying the blasted ships - the people of Penancia II have taken to flagellation and ritual scarring of themselves en masse, to atone for failing the rest of humanity.
