Yeah, Kyoko needs time to adjust to having had nice things been given to her, no strings attached.

I've been binging all the threadmarks, sidestories, apocryphas, medias and informationals (Not the page to page discussions though, I learned my lessons trying and failing to do that with PMAS) the past week and I gotta say, I'm loving this quest a lot!

    You take a sharp breath in through your teeth, "Yeah, today might not be the best day to talk to her about this... She kinda had a shopping trip with Grandma and Grandpa, and she seemed pretty stressed out from that." You scratch the back of your head, "When I said she'd be breaking hearts with her new clothes, she kinda snapped at me. S-Sorry."

    "Don't be. It wasn't exactly your fault." Homura nods, "Sakura is a prideful person, and doesn't like to be "pittied" in any way. I imagine that she is stressing over finding a way to pay your grandparents back for their kindness as of now."

    "How do you know that?" Sayaka glances her way, curious.

    "I have a bit of experience in working with her." Homura reveals cryptically, "She is most likely embarrassed by the hospitality, so she has retreated for the time being. Speaking of, did she perhaps go see Tomoe? I can't sense her."

    ...Oh. Your eyes widen a little.

    "Magical Girls can sense other Magical Girls?" Madoka asks.

    "Indeed, alongside Witches." Homura answers again, "But such benefits don't come freely. Keep that in mind as you speak with Kyubey."

    Sayaka looks down at her lap, knowing exactly what Homura is implying.

    "S-So, I'd advise you guys wait a couple of days for everything to cool down before... Confessing anything to Kyoko." You hastily rope the conversation back around to Kyoko, "Maybe you could try cooking with Kyoko and Grandma sometime, Sayaka?"

    "Who, me?" Sayaka freezes, "I can't cook anything! I'd just embarrass myself--!"

    "Which is why I suggested cooking with Grandma!" You put a hand on her shoulder, "She can help you guys make something great!"

    "...I, sure? If Kyoko wants to, that is!" Sayaka hastily adds.

    You smile contently, standing up and stretching. "Welp, I guess we should head in--"

    In the next moment, everything is frozen. The world is trapped in dull grays, and everything is deathly still.

    "...Side?" You finally finish.

    You feel a hand on your shoulder.

    "What happened to Sakura?" You hear Homura ask from behind you.

    • [] "She was captured by the cult, and at some point her Gem cracked. So I kinda panicked and now we know that putting your Soul Gem in a Balm of Rising will let you keep your magical girl magic while turning you back into a human."

    I mean, there's not much else to say.

    --[] "She somehow kept her powers though. Her powers as a Magical Girl I mean. I used a Balm of Rising on her Soul Gem which is stronger than what I've been using apparently, though I'm unaware of any changes to her ability in combat without being a Magical Girl anymore."

    This would be the first time that Homura's revealed her Time Stop to Yumi (wow, it's been a year since the last time I checked) though I think Yumi's cottoned on enough to not be too outwardly surprised by it with her dice blessed ability to expect when Homura's around.
     
    Hey so I was reading back,

    Did we ever check on Oriko? She was one of Athena's targets right? I remember thinking she was going for Yuma but that was just a Witch.
