I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

We can do better, and I feel it would overshadow Snorri's already BS feats. We want to step out of the shadows and face the challenges of the future head-on. Not rely on past glories to light our way forward.

It'll probably increase the range and take Khazagar + BA's effect to another level. I think Grimgal will love the hammer.

Would becoming the heir of Thungni even be the best thing for the Karaz Ankor?

Since Snorri thinks an heir needs to be an extension of their master, then he'd probably go neutral and hands-off, at least for a long while.

Which means that we wouldn't be able to cause anywhere near a Khazagar-level shakeup in the meantime.

Some of our best accomplishments are things Thungni would never have done, and Snorri would not go for as heir of Thungni.

I think us making sure tradinolist won't go after every radical and not-so-much-radical runes every time will be step in right direction.

So unless we dump the godhammer in a ditch(lmao, NO), we may as well live up to what we've picked up.

I do want to set and maintain a challenge course for who follows us, as personal heir and Heir to Thungni are two different things even if we are one person.
 
God, I can't wait to see Vragni's reaction to use having Thungni's hammer, regardless of being his heir or not.

I know, right?! We are already on track to take up Durin's mantle (especially with the possible Yorri connection) and this just makes it official.

The age of the gods is over. Claiming this mantle is a physical tie that will force the Runesmith's guild of the Karaz Ankor to skew towards Snorri's radical views. While I beleive that the direction Snorri pushes for is a good path to take, using the mantle of Thungni in that way is wrong. Besides, we can just accrue a similar level of influence on our own, through deeds like creating the chainforger, and eventually cracking Durin's consternation. In my opinion, this is a choice between a short-term power grab by taking up a mantle we can never honor, versus doing it the slower, and therefore better, way.
