Look. Herc is the GOAT and any option that is even tangentially related to allowing him to kick ass is one I am obligated to vote for. Illya can come too I guess.
 
  • While picking Kirei is funny, he's almost certainly Lancer's master as in canon so asking him for help destroying Lancer is a horrible idea. He might even agree to it since he has another better servant left over from the last war but whatever he asks for in return will make you wish he hadn't. (Though this might be a first step towards reconciliation with Rin? She's working with him too and it might give us a chance to talk to her)
  • Illya can help primarily with firepower. Even with all of our servants and allies concentrating fire on it Lancer just kept regenerating in this fight and we weren't able to do any permanent damage. Rider is a really strong fighter and the mystic eyes of petrification seem like the kind of thing that might be able to bypass regeneration or at least hold Lancer in place long enough to hit it with everything we've got
  • Raiga can help primarily with finding the damn thing wherever it ran off to. Also if we think conventional weapons will do anything he can probably provide guns, explosives, men to fire those guns, etc. This seems like the best option if we want to lay a trap for Lancer instead of just rushing in again. Doing that plays much better to Medea's strengths and might make her think Shirou's not an impulsive idiot for once

It's nice to see Shirou actually be able to hold ground for a change, even if only for a second (his strength this quest has definitely been in his allies). RIP to Medea's store of patience for him; her Master's gotten the Fuyuki Fire flashbacks and he's never letting this one go.

Good news, that possibility is on the table! Maybe. I'm really surprised she's as... intact as she is after that fight. Ruby is no joke.

Though speaking of things that aren't a joke, I'm voting for it, but I felt I should point out what going to Raiga might mean.

This is kinda the guy in charge of the magical logistics, and he's already pissed about how things are going. Shirou going to him might lead to him deciding that this Grail War business has fucked around enough, and now the participants are going to find out. I'm willing to risk that, but it's very possible that escalation might drive things into being even more of a cluster fuck.

I kinda don't like this option, even if is realistically our only choice. The way things have been going it feels like we only go to her when we need help, kinda makes it feel like we've been using her. Erien, is it possible we can just get some chill Illya moments? Like no threat to our immediate well-being and the well-being of those around us. Like the shopping scene in HF, and parks scenes in Fate.

When you wrap up this arc with the monster things will be chill with a good half dozen chapters of character interaction/training Ayako before you tackle the Rin problem.
