…That thing with the soldiers makes me think that if anyone wants to figure out how the Seated Must Stand, that might be a good place to start. If Kong Zhi has a question to ask Zhuan Kun one might be if the soldiers of Jingyi Summit have ever successfully shouted an opponent down with chained cries.
 
I don't know if I want to do all the socials. We keep saying we'll train more in later votes, and then never actually do so. But I think 3-4 socials minimum (Daiyu festival, something with Kun, Kumi interrupt, and maybe a group activity) sounds good.

I remembered a concept I tweaked a while back and realized that now may be the best time to start it:

On top of being a generally useful gift for Mei Daiyu (not just a dancer but also a fighter), I'm sure Zhi feels a bit guilty about giving her the scare of a lifetime when they were falling from the sky to the ground at terminal velocity.

Zhi has begun a romantic relationship with her, started learning a powerful Star technique, has the right materials (obtained alongside Daiyu and thus have emotional resonance) and has the right Wonder to be inspired by (last time we made a charm at an appropriate Wonder we got extra successes to the design). It's the perfect storm.

...Also this probably replaces the scarf that Jin Yahzu gave her. Come on. Don't let her keep carrying shoddy workmanship.

I think I'll go for all the socials this time.
Seems stupid not to go on a date with Mei, and I've wanted to go to the fighting shcools with Kun since the start of the journey.
Advanced training tip from the Zhuan technique masters seems like something we shouldn't pass on.
The same goes for tips for how to deal with Chui Dao.
Potentially getting skill up on crafting seems like a good idea as well, since we know there's a tournament coming up.
I'd like to see how the Kumi plot turns out as well.

I was reminded that in our current form of the Ivory Ferryman, we can take one more pill per action. So, given that we have some very powerful pills and also Cloud's Breath, I think we should advance Worldstream.

It's a powerful and versatile skill that's stronger in a group, but more importantly, if we tried to finish it only with campfire actions it'd effectively take three of them. Doing one action here on the Summit effectively means we would only need one more campfire action.

If we're particularly lucky and can roll six successes on Cloud's Breath, we'd also be effectively saving up one of these pills.

I will note that I'm not in love with making a gift for Daiyu right after we gave her the incredibly powerful Star technique. There's such a thing as being too generous and neglecting ourselves. If we want to make something for ZK or ourselves I'd be more understanding.

[] If rumors are to be believed, Jingyi's Summit is home to a not insignificant number of skilled craftsmen, some of whom practice techniques I'm not yet familiar with. Zhuan Kun has volunteered to use his family's name to allow us to tour the Forge District, and Daiyu seems interested in coming along as well.
[] Daiyu has discovered that one of the schools within Jingyi's Summit is home to an order of Spirit Beast tamers and trainers, and she is interested in their methods. She's mentioned that such tips could be helpful for Kukuni as well as Spirit Beasts; I will tag along to see what knowledge I can glean.
[] Zhuan Kun's training regimen was handed down to him by a group of his family members known as the Zhuan Clan Technique Masters. He is visiting them to tweak his skills, and has invited both Daiyu and I to come along for advanced instruction.
[] The return of the Zhuan Clan's Young Master has sparked a festival on the streets of Jingyi's Summit. Whenever it is mentioned, Daiyu stares at me with an intent I would have to be far denser than I am to misread. I will escort her through the festival, and we will have a nice time. [] Rumors are flying on the streets of the Summit about an incident on one of the peaks. It was something about vicious, man eating birds- and that has jarred free a half-forgotten memory. Or perhaps a dream? All I know is that something about vicious birds in Jingyi's Summit strikes a chord. I will investigate it to find out why.

Good lord there are so many incredible opportunities in this place. The access to knowledge on raising kukuni, the combat schools, the unique crafting techniques, the birds, I just can't resist going for it all. I can just barely pick the technique masters over punching, simply because we're such a forbidden disaster from a planning perspective. They might have useful ideas about how to fight with chui dao, but our anam techs are just so god damn weird. Worldstream does win out over SotP for me though, it's much more immediately useful.

Can folks please invite Mei to the potential Kumi bird option? That sounds like it can lead to fun interaction, especially with mei wanting to learn more about Zhi's mysterious court.

I understand this concern, but I'd consider Zhi crafting to be the opposite of neglecting himself. He is a crafter at heart and he probably finds it very engaging.

On another note, here's some actual letters in case anyone wants to add them to their plans (tweaked or otherwise):

Emphasize that we got the Sen's Worldstream technique, the Blue Skies card, a new form, and that the Sen are likely in the market for an upgrade to some of their lesser security systems and may be open to the Kongs offering their services. We also look forward to introducing mom to our girlfriend. Postscript: We send our apologies to Uncle Fang for needing to put down one of his living fans like an animal kill one of his fans.
