Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
mathematically speaking, the best options are probably the granary, the theater of frost and the boats. Granary and boats give a permanent manpower, and granary and theater add up to 10 more Happiness, so about one more virtual manpower from that.

thematically, I favor theater of frost because we're in early winter, and the new options because the more potential materials for a flute we have, the better. Also, adding chances to attract cultivator manpower will be important, since we want some manning the settlement wall, and the earlier we start rolling those dices with a bonus, the better.

we'll probably not be able to give much focus to the fief in months 13 and 1 since we'll be in Xiangmen for parts of either, so I want to do more "boring" stuff then: granary and settlement walls come to mind.
Well, I'm not against doing a theater of frost and chillgrasp clay combo. As long as we develop one of the new mats I'll be happy

[X] Do not take insight from MoSS

I really do like the core themes of this insight but the previously made points against make me hesitant to go with it as is. Might change my vote if we get further clarification

I'll probably vote for whatever gives me most spirit shenanigans.
If those shenanigans involve Hanyi and the Winter Mafia, all the better.

[X] A good neighbor listens without spying, speaks without demanding, takes without dominating, gives without submitting. Respect is the foundation of community.

The interesting thing is, this is already so core to LQ's MO that it isn't even necessary to take the insight itself. However, given that we'll have to start cutting parts of our identity as we go up in realms it's probably best to establish this properly in LQ's way now that we have the opportunity to do so.

Could we use the chillgrasp Clay pottery to hold the clear water mist? I think an expert might be able to do make It work. I also can already see they making very popular spirit sake.
Ps what happened to the flamesand resource?

It is in other location, I believe.

Some of the anti-Insight arguments confuse me. Like Ling Qi said, this is basically following the path of Tsu, and he got up to plenty of pro-active Protagonist Bullshit. I don't think the Insight would be nearly as restrictive as some arguments make it out to be.

The insight itself is a great guideline for Ling Qi to follow for her job, but I'm skeptical of how it'll fit into her Way.

I was pretty split on this until people pointed out that the insight is another step in Ling Qi following in the path of Tsu. I'm for anything neo-Weilu, basically a single issue voter in that regard.

A human who could not hunt or fish or gather or farm would die. Was it good then, to allow that if it meant not imposing on the spirits of the land? Of course not. The goal then was not to avoid taking or changing at all, but to do so in a way that left both parties intact and prospering wherever possible.
This, she thought, was the path Tsu had taken. And it was one worth emulating, she thought, even if she didn't pretend things could always go her way, or that others would always deal honestly with her.
With the Beast Gods it wasn't possible, so Tsu overthrew them.

Too much hyperbole here IMHO. If we only accept insights that are 100% unambiguous, (a) Yrs will have to turn each one into a long ass paragraph, and (b) we'll have no wiggle room left.

Come on, this is a no-brainer.
