Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

we probably should do something to get either the fields or the fishery output up, bleeding agriculture sounds bad. or maybe get that forestry project done, it's got a lot of agriculture for 1 manpower, great for right now. the second project should possibly be call on Cai wealth, to ensure further projects continue smoothly next turn

@yrsillar errors and questions/clarifications in new fief stuff:
  • As tenchifew said, I count only 10P distributed across slots. (1, 3, 3, 2, 1)
  • Fields Infrastructure - lacks month count (assume 1 month).
  • Hamlet Granary - Are all parts cumulative or are some replacing (or unchanged from) current? (Adm bonus, Happiness bonus, P slots, W cost) If I had to guess it won't add a P slot, but if the Adm/H effect is replacing it kind of sucks actually, and I'll have to revamp all my plans ...
    • Can we assign 0.5P to a slot? If so I need to add a little A/mon to every line of my table that adds P.
  • Theater of Frost Foundations - when exactly does the "5% chance of C" trigger?
  • Saline Grotto Outpost - lacks month count. Will this increase projects per month (limited to the site perhaps)?

I feel like I'm missing something. Why will this cheapen all future costs?
Getting past certain thresholds with Administration decreases costs significantly, and increasing Happiness gives us bonus P that don't eat anything. This admittedly depends on assumptions I just asked yrs.

Ling Qi hummed thoughtfully, remind at the cliffside head turned so that she could see both him and the landscape below. She had never disliked Bao Qian. She had merely… been ill suited to the arrangement back when things began. However… she wouldn't lie to herself. She wasn't sure she felt the same spark of interest that Meng Dan had given her, even with a compliment like that, but then… it was only a matter of months since she had been able to admit any such thing at all.

Oooh, internal acknowledgement that Meng Dan has in fact sparked a little bit of romantic interest, or at least more so than BQ has. Which, uh, yeah. Meng Dan and Xuan Shi are definitely the frontrunners for me.

@o11c what is your reasoning for holding off on using COCW this turn?

If the granary doesn't push us past thresholds I think I'd be interested in:

Snowblossom Meditations:
Cost. 50 Agriculture, 50 Material, 1 month

and then either:
Fishing Boat Construction
Cost 30 Agriculture, 20 material, 1 Month
or
Hamlet Forestry
Cost 15 Agriculture, 15 Material. 1 month

Since they're the only other projects that would be in our price range. This would also depend on us prespending resources from COCW next turn since I think we'd be priced out of most interesting projects.

Hanyi: Where's the Drama?
Cui: What do you mean where's the drama?
Hanyi: Big sis broke up with my manager!
Cui: Hunh. Were they even dating?
Hanyi:Uhh…
Cui: Of course she would then. She was actually LIVING with my Mistress and she broke up with her! Over some silly thing like gender!
Hanyi: When was this!?!
Cui: Oh, such a long year and a half ago! It was such a romantic night out on the lake and yet! Rejection! By a lowly orphan who didn't even have a good reason for it! Bah!

@o11c what is your reasoning for holding off on using COCW this turn?
Any turn in which we use a project with no immediate return is "wasted". This is admittedly penny-pinching, but it means gaining ~2A by doing a useful project this turn instead of next turn.

This is wrong since the cheaper projects are more important, see below. Of course this all remains assuming Granary's +10Adm boost is cumulative not replacing.

[] Fields Expansion
[] Snowblossem Meditations
We can't take both of those since we only have 73M but that costs 85M. See table newly added to my sig; there are actually better ways to increase A ... and more important priorities (Adm/H) as well.

Hell ya all the new projects are hype! Love the options curious when we will be able to grow our seeds from when we got our domain weapon. I'm thinking when we have our own manor and we can start something or when more agriculture infrastructure is up.

Yess the Bai stuff we bought at the tournament you are here!

Dang the list is very much hype for me. Thanks for the update!

Given all the projects we gotten and are agriculture stagnation here are two plans I propose below.

[ ] Plan: Cheap Foundations
-[ ] Hamlet Granary
-[ ] Call on Cai Clan Wealth(Wealth)

This plan not only takes advantage of increasing our hamlet happiness and administration, making future buildings alot cheaper since admin will be on 125, it will also push our happiness to 120 giving us a extra manpower to use. Finally their is last part so we can purchase all future buildings espically snowblossing medition which we want to get done very soon.

[ ] Plan: Loggers Storage
-[ ] Hamlet Granary
-[ ] Hamlet Forestry

This plan gives the same benfits from the granary as the top plan but instead we use the bonus manpower to manage our forestry project giving us a sweet 3 extra agriculture for very cheap.

Granary does not get us to A-125. It gets us to A-120, which provides no benefit.

It's good, yeah, but it's not "Get it right the fuck now". Do Snowblossom Meditations because that keeps getting signposted and the timing is good for it, get more money so we can push hard again afterwards while we're at it.

"Hmph, where's the drama," Hanyi huffed, under her breath, tucking her hands under her arms. She looked really put out. Ling Qi believed she was the only one to hear though, and shot her junior sister an amused look. Hanyi really was too transparent.

If she had her way, Ling Qi would be surrounded by handsome aristocratic men like some kind of imperial princess. Which, frankly, sounded exhausting.

Hanyi is me. I am Hanyi.

I'm proud of our girl coming so far. She's still a teenager and only recently started to feel safe in these kinds of discussions, yet her reality demands she considers these things like an adult. I'm excited to see how it turns out! Will the Golden Fist triumph over the Carver? Is the Scholar secretly winning the war right now? Will we see a new dark horse emerge at the wedding to sweep the competition???

But Winter itself must end. The new world born consumes the dregs of the old. And your grip on events must come to an end. The last howl of winter carries across the battlefield, freezing foes unto statues of deep ice, stripped of all they were, made faceless in death, only the faint patterns in the frost carrying memory of life. At your call, they shatter, cracking apart into petals of frost, carried on the vitality that floods forth. Each target which has been successfully damaged by Frozen nights Refrain, or which has had their movement trait reduced by three or more due to Year's End Aria suffers an Immediate Potency G8 attack so long as they remain in the same scene. This attack ignores defensive techniques of lower potency.

Faceless in death is crazy lmao dang LQ you scary.

[ ] Plan: Cheap Foundations
-[ ] Hamlet Granary
-[ ] Call on Cai Clan Wealth(Wealth)

[...] a sweet 3 extra agriculture for very cheap.
(nit: It's only 1.9A since we have to take P away from fields. still very sweet)

I am an idiot and your plan is better than mine, subject to our shared assumption that the Adm boost is cumulative. What I said to @KarmaA is wrong since the cost savings of cheaper projects beats the penny-pinching I do by default. Will edit.

If the +10 Adm boost merely replaces the prior +5 Adm boost (like Alectai seems to assume), the granary sucks actually.

I just really wanna get this lake diplomacy done tbh

[X] Theater of Frost Foundations
[X] Theater of Frost
Don't we need to prioritize that? I thought it was established in this arc that we needed to do a whole ritual with chestnuts and bonfires to keep the local winter happy until Hanyi can show it whose boss?

That's not a valid vote. You need to use nested plan structure, and Theater of Frost itself isn't available until after ToFF is completed.

[X] Plan: Cheap Foundations
-[X] Hamlet Granary
-[X] Call on Cai Clan Wealth(Wealth)
-[X] This is still a win even if the Adm boost is not cumulative, it just forces "Expand Hamlet Administration" next turn.

All of the remaining plans assume we take CoCCW as the second action next month.
[] Technically valid but kind of silly
-[] Settlement Walls
-[] Implement Bai Clan Soil Studies
-[] next month: Hamlet Forestry or Population Drive

Otherwise we can't take either of the 50M projects. We can barely do:

[] Plan: Granary is still happy
-[] Hamlet Granary
-[] Hamlet Forestry
-[] next month: Population Drive (forced)
[] Plan: field and forest
-[] Field Infrastructure
-[] Hamlet Forestry
-[] next month: Population Drive
[] Plan: field focus
-[] Field Infrastructure
-[] Implement Bai Clan Soil Studies
-[] next month: Hamlet Forestry or Population Drive

At this point there start to be quite a few more possibilities, though all most include either FBC or ToFF. Hamlet Forestry could move up but I don't think it's worth it.

[] FBC+ToFF
-[] Fishing Boat Construction
-[] Theater of Frost Foundations
-[] next month: Hamlet Forestry or Population Drive

[] ?+ToFF, forcing PD
-[] Field Expansions (not worth it), Implement Bai Clan Soil Studies (probably not worth it)
-[] Theater of Frost Foundations
-[] next month: Population Drive

[] utter nonsense
-[] Field Expansions (not worth it)
-[] Fishing Boat Construction
-[] next month: Hamlet Forestry or Population Drive

Finally, if we include the 2-month projects ... the mines aren't worth anything now, but:

[]BDSsomething
-[] Boiling Deep Shrine Foundation
-[] Fishing Boat Construction, Theater of Frost Foundation (gives a full free P), or Hamlet Forestry
-[] no choice next month

Okay granary looks like it's changed so what it gives is +5 happiness, +5 admin and 1 permant manpower.

So it would bring hapiness to 120 and admin to 120. meaning if taken this turn we get two manpower.

[X] Plan: Lake Whispering
-[X] Snowblossom Meditations

[X] Plan: Lake Whispering

Also we should transfer the bonus man power that's put on pastures to fishing next month and if cultivator shows up do the same with them.

This gives us the greatest flexibility going into future turns.
