I mean they aren't fine as far as magic is concerned its fairly similar as far as politics go though its not the same. Also you know how magic is at least somewhat based around perspective why its banned to kill humans with it is at least partly because to do something with magic you need to believe that it makes sense that its right. Thus making psychopaths. They are at least as divorced from humanity as a White Court Vampire. Molly is not entirely sure why those are 'fine' to kill, but if they are these should too.
Just pointing out potions are very fast for Molly to make thanks to her speed boosting charm. Also in the Alchemy path potions take a day per level to make, but that is reduced by a full day per rank you have above the potions rating, if that reduces it to under an day it fall to several hours.3) I dont think we can reasonably plan for anything that requires preptime in excess of a couple minutes. And potions take hours to brew. Not to mention that trying to administer a potion in the middle of a van full of 13 shapeshifters is asking more than is reasonable for even Molly.
If we don't stop the van and talk, he knows we are in the city, and can demand same things.Wrong sequence.
If you stop the van, and then try to talk, you are essentially telling him that we know where he is, and give him warning to deploy his troops as a precaution. What happens if he demands we step out into the open or he begins to take off body parts?
What if he says something in the convo that completely changes our approach?
Dont take detectable/suspicious action until and unless you are willing to follow through if necessary.
ALL the way through.
We can probably assume that it's at that level still (no time for bleach bath). I have to admit that my plan is not very feasible. We spend 1 mote on the Crown, and one mote on the occult excellency. That's 8 motes we are left with. If the information we get is enough to regenerate essence, that's 10 motes, if not 8.
The opposite. If we don't stop the van and talk, he knows we are in the city, and can demand same things.
We are known to have great scrying abilities. If we are I the city it's reasonable to assume it'll believe that we know where our friends are. It can scry its minions. It would assume we can do so with ours. The opposite.
If we dont stop the van before calling him, he has no reason to believe that we know where he is. And because he doesnt, he's less anxious, not more. He doesnt send any of the half a dozen skinwalkers in bird form to keep an eye on the surroundings and maintain a perimeter. He doesnt worry that Harry running away from his watcher is an indication that Molly has called him.
His van stops, someone as paranoid as Broken Seeker will get even more twitchy.
And critically, being under a veil doesnt actually stop your phone call being audible to people walking past, or with superhuman senses of smell or hearing; Murphy, a bog standard mortal, detected Molly under a veil that way.
Sound. Smell. Pressure.Molly rubbed at her wrists, wincing. "Um. Sergeant? How did you know I was there?"
"Floorboards creaking when no one was standing on them," I said.
"Your deodorant," Murphy said.
"Your tongue stud clicked against your teeth once," I said.
"I felt some air move a few minutes ago," Murphy said. "Didn't feel like a draft."
Molly swallowed and her face turned pink. "Oh."
"But we didn't see you, did we, Murph?"
Murphy shook her head. "Not even a little."
A little humiliation and ego deflation, now and then, is good for apprentices. Mine sighed miserably.
Essentially every major mundane sense besides sight will pick up on people under a veil. And all of Seeker's coven are in the form of animals with great non-visual senses.
Did you know that turkey vultures have a great sense of smell? And can detect dead bodies from 8 miles away?
To quote BronzeTongue, measure twice, cut once.
Call, then use that information to determine your next course of action.
Dont act first and risk detection from a bunch of people with superhuman sense.
Harry just deliberately broke contact with the dude who was trailing him. THEN the naagloshii's van breaks down. The idea of stopping the van is to do it before he knows you are in the city, make it look like his van just broke down in a supreme act of bad luck. That is why if you are going to do it you have to do it instead of talking not in addition to it.
1)We are not generally known to have great scrying capabilities. We are known to have great scrying abilities. If we are I the city it's reasonable to assume it'll believe that we know where our friends are. It can scry its minions. It would assume we can do so with ours.
Marcone knows, and it's likely Marcone's people know. Parts of White Court certainly know.1)We are not generally known to have great scrying capabilities.
Some people know, like Harry, Michael, Lydia, Gard and Mab. Its not common knowledge, and we've gone to some lengths to keep it that way. Certainly not "naagloshii should know this" type knowledge.
And the fact that two of three major cases he knows of(Kattrin, the Will of Kakuri, the Walker) involved a Valkyrie(Gard) who as a group, are reputed to have foresight/prediction type abilities, and work for Odin whose reputation for foresight is even greater, muddles the waters further.
This (Harry broke contact) means that Naaglsohii already knows we are in town. Further, Harry breaking from his trail indicates that Harry knew he was being watched, and that we have enough information that he needs to break contact. If we don't know where hostages are, it makes more sense for Harry to pretend he doesn't know he's being watched. If he isn't bothering, it means confrontation is imminent, which means we know where Broken Seeker is.Harry just deliberately broke contact with the dude who was trailing him. THEN the naagloshii's van breaks down.
I doubt the naagloshii believes in coincidence.

Lara is not stupid.Lara suspects. She doesnt know.
And she sure as hell wasnt talking given that she has traitors in her own Court.
My apologies.
Lost 1 Essence -> Now at 12/15
Regained 2 Essence -> now at 14/15
There is 1m missing between 14/15 and 12/15; Im guessing QM error.
Point of order:We can probably assume that it's at that level still (no time for bleach bath). I have to admit that my plan is not very feasible. We need 1 more mote to hmp the car.
We need 2 motes for shintai, 1 mote for Viridian Exoskeleton 1 for steel skin, 1 for mhm (to get Izzy and Alex out of the way). That's 5 motes minimum. We can activate ATB with willpower, and if we want to use hellscry Chakra to help us pierce naagloshii's veils (if he uses any), that's a total of 6 motes. Worst case scenario this leaves us with 1 mote to spend. That's 4 combat turns of melee excellency. I am doubtful we can deal with a naagloshii in that time frame.
Marcone knows. Gard explicitely told him:Marcone doesnt know.
He knows that we have some sort of relationship with spirits after the Kattrin affair, which is not the same thing as scrying magic.
Gard should know, and she works for Marcone at the moment. That doesnt mean that she spread it around.
"There is a reason why the scheming old king always gives the demigod seemingly impossible tasks far away," Gard snorted. "Now that I have that out of the way, some more specifics, she has authority over a significant class of knowledge spirit, authority that she calls on often, which means she is either a fool, which should not be discounted but cannot be the first assumption, or the price is something she does not mind paying. Given her association with a true servant of the White God most forms of sacrificial magic can be excluded, but you remember what I told you about the internet a few years ago?"
He "noticed the tail" within minutes of us coming in contact with Hank. Broken Seeker is not stupid and should be able to put two and two together.No.
Harry is a professional private investigator in addition to being a Warden sub-commander in time of war.
Being watched and followed are occupational hazards.
His noticing a tail and doing his best to lose it isnt a significant factor for Seeker.
Its when you couple that with a prepared van suddenly breaking down that it becomes a Sign of shenanigans being about.
We do not have or use Sight, though. And given how strong Hank was, the only way to use MHM in combat would be to add Occult Excellency to the mix. MHM's primary purpose here should be to get Izzy and Alec out of the way.Point of order:
MHM's damage is based on our temporary Willpower rating. And its our only ranged attack atm, while the naagloshii has ranged spells. We also need IPM up and running, because its canon that seeing the reality of the naagloshii under the Sight fucked Harry up badly in canon, so we want it running just in case.
1) Lara is making no such assumptions in a setting where she knows that the Archive and oracular spirits exist.Lara is not stupid.
She gave us vague info about the infiltration of the Winter Court.
Hours later the events of Halloween happen, Maeve gets spiritually de-wormed and suddenly Winter owes us favors.
It doesn't take a genius to see divination in that series of events.
Okay, true.So far, everything she's seen of Molly's information gathering abilities can be ascribed to spirits.
She has no evidence of Molly being a diviner.
And she isnt going to assume it, given the company Molly keeps.
Possible, but with all Lara knows and has survived I'm guessing she'd rather overestimate us than underestimate us.Lara doesnt actually know that Molly didnt know about Maeve's Nfection beforehand.
For all she knows, nothing on the note that she passed to Molly was news to her.
Molly certainly gave no indication one way or the other.
