This is gonna be a driving factor for sharpening the tension between Romanian monarchists & republicans, we should do that. The trade-off is Danubian Republic would be quite Hungarian-dominated.

[X] [FED] We will propose a Danubian Federation and an Illyrian Federation.

That said, I'm approval voting for two federations since it balances stability vs potential, and this creates the possibility for the Illyrian Fed to eventually expand into at least Serbia-Montenegro (we could swing Serbia-Montenegrin locals to our side for this potential unification) and the Danubian Fed to potentially include Romania (Romanians & Moldavians would be close to or outright majority in said expanded Danubian Fed) - but this is admittedly less plausible than a potential Illyrian expansion).

[X] [CON] We will not modify our reconstruction plans at this time.

I don't like playing favorites like this, we'll end them early if they reach their "metrics" early. The "12-year shortened into 8 or 10" reconstruction would also be cheaper to our annual budget than the standard eight year :V

[X] [REP] Henceforth, we will be the Union of Central European Republics.

The borders of the little republics is so aesthetically pleasing. It's also telling Romania that we've got a replacement Romania all lined up ready to overthrow their government. We already pissed them off, might as well introduce them to their future rulers while we're at it. CER is a solid name, but doesn't involve introducing federalism like taking on the word union would imply.

We voted for a thorough reconstruction, and a thorough reconstruction we shall have. Throughout the expanded Republic, so no Imperial Banner shall ever arise from the ex-Habsburg lands, and throughout the expanded Alliance, so that they shall remain ever-faithful a la Spain. If a territory wishes for less oversight more quickly than scheduled, it shall redouble its efforts to meet its metrics faster.

In regards to expediting reconstruction, I'm not sure about whether the loss of efficacy is worth the improvement in public opinion/relations, but the increased cost tips it towards "no" for me.

Why is everyone voting to implement the maximal Federationist program (dissolving the National Assembly into an [albeit aterritorial] federation of nationalities)? And why is everyone OK with using a conference vote to do an end-run around the normal electoral process, or even a referendum, for doing so?

I assume that the reorganization into a Union of Central European Republic or merely switching into a Central European Republic is done by a vote of the National Assembly - etran could easily clarify that if he so chooses. Also, I don't think we're dissolving the National Assembly in any of the three [REP] options?

UCER demands a "Political structure changes to acknowledge non-territorial cultural 'republics' within the Union." That necessarily either liquidates the National Assembly as a body into the federal assembly of the nationalities, or creates a national-federal chamber. Either way, power shifts from the people's representatives to the nationalities' representatives.

Please no CER federation. That'll create more fault lines inside Germany. Where are we going to draw the borders in Czechia?
CER doesn't create a federation, it retains the current unitary constitution and National Assembly - only the name of the state changes.

UCER creates a new, [aterritorially-]federal constitution. It is the outcome that committed centralists and democrats must avert at all hazards.
