[X] Case Arquebus
Jutland is actually bad terrain defensivly, and that goes for us as much as it does them. Taking it also lets us allocare another corps to other fronts.
It doesn't, you still need to occupy the place. Which, granted, can be done with lower-echelon troops, but lower-echelon troops can also hold a trench line on what will necessarily be a tertiary front in any circumstance.Jutland is actually bad terrain defensivly, and that goes for us as much as it does them. Arquebus is not just waiting around we are still taking border areas in austria, this is just fully not understanding the plan, the only one suggesting we sit around and wait on the border of one of our major enemies is eagle with russia.Plus, just waiting around with plan arquebus is just asking for the Austrians to dig in, which is just an absurdly bad idea. We're resigning ourselves to a grind, plain and simple. A lite-version of WW1.
Case Arquebus still have the force attacking Austria attempting to take strong positions for further advances - in fact they'll advance until either a strong enough resistance stops em or they get to the end of their supply lines. The only plan that truly allows Austria to dig in is Case Hussar.Plus, just waiting around with plan arquebus is just asking for the Austrians to dig in, which is just an absurdly bad idea. The issue with Case Hussar is that even in the best case scenario it's not going to knock Russia out of the war. Taking polish territory is cool, but it's not going to accomplish a strategic goal imoWe must focus on liberating Russia and all the people that lie imprisoned in its grasp, most importantly the proud Polish. They are the real enemy, with stupendous amount of manpower at their disposal. Let us knock them out quickly on open terrain, we will be greeted as emancipators, and find our ranks flush with new troops!
It also basically writes off the fleet as scrap to crumble to scale in the bottom of the Baltic. I'd argue Arquebus does that as well, but at least it sells the fleet dearly whereas Hussar accomplishes nothing by its sacrifice. The issue with Case Hussar is that even in the best case scenario it's not going to knock Russia out of the war. The idea that Case Arquebus is "waiting around" on Austria is wholly fictitious. "Case Arquebus dedicates its resources to a broad-front advance against all three adjoining powers. The principal aims are to take Scandinavian Jutland, western Poland, and Austrian border territory, repulse any partially-mobilized military formations present, and secure strong forward positions for the coming campaigns."Plus, just waiting around with plan arquebus is just asking for the Austrians to dig in, which is just an absurdly bad idea.
