Really don't think Jutland matters all that much to be honest. The Scandinavians are about as penned up in that narrow peninsula as they'd be stuck on the other side of the strait.

I'm extremely tempted by Hussar because POLAND but ultimately both Hussar and Arquebus leave our allies in too passive a position IMO - Austria must fall or at least be chopped down to size to ensure that the Italians are able to make an impact in the war.

Arquebus feels like it'll stretch our forces too thin. It's overambitious and fails to complete our primary objective of knocking out Austria. Home by Christmas!

A knockout punch to Austria is likely the best way to ensure a swift victory so this war doesn't become a quagmire. I feel like splitting our forces is a recipe for disaster.

This is gambling a lot on a Danube campaign but our edge in mobilization - and the potential payoff of knocking Austria out of the war quickly - makes it a risk worth taking. Creating a land route between Italy and Germany will also be critical for the overall strategic posture of the war, since it is somewhat questionable that we will be able to make safe crossings through the Baltic.

The biggest problem I have with Case Eagle is that it leave Jutland as a dagger pointing at the heart of the republic. Many of our most vital war industries are a stones throw away from it, and leaving it in the hands of our enemies gives them a readymade staging point to force us to take men off the front lines. It also has us sending huge armies into the teeth of the Alps while defended by Austrians with machine guns.

I think case Arquebus better sets us up for the long war this is going to be. We can seize our enemies forward positions and force them onto the offensive against our artillery and machine guns. I am much more confident in our ability to sustain a long war, and a longer campaign will also give time for other opporunities to develop—a victory in the Mediterranean allowing an Adriatic landing to open a fourth front against Austria, for example.

You do realize that Jutland is as much of a choke point for them as it is for us, right? We have the qualitative advantage, and I think we'll be able to easily pull through. Knocking out Austria comes before anything else.
 
The biggest problem with Case Eagle is that unless it ends up being overwhelmingly successful and we completely knock out austria from the war, which is both a big ask and exceedingly unlikely, we still have a massive gaping hole in our defense in the north that we can't afford to defend very well with an unmolested russian bear on our border.
 
The biggest issue with Case Eagle is that it puts no pressure whatsoever on Russia. Russia will have about 6 million ready with the first wave, with more coming in as the turn advances. Without anything to destabilize that, that's a substantial force which will be launching attacks against our eastern flank, which could disrupt any Silesia based offensives we have going against Bohemia. Because ultimately, with the weight of numbers Russia has, and Austrians known efforts to prepar for exactly this war, I don't think we can focus on Austria without losing territory in the east, and if we don't actually knock out Austria, we're in a rough spot for an extended war.
