[X] She proposed that meetings could take place in the still being constructed meeting hall at specific times, when the primary negotiations were in recess. She would merely coordinate appointments. (Does not claim any of Ling Qi's time. No penalties or bonuses to diplomatic insults)

I'm with Abeo here. And to an extent we do want to be exerting our prerogatives here and establishing the precedent that we control access isn't a bad thing.

At least one of these gifs popped directly into my head on reading this paragraph, and then I had to complete the set.

While she spoke she watched her audience. Xuan Shi leaned forward subtly, listening intently, despite knowing this all.
Zheng Fu grinned, rating an elbow on the table while shoveling in snacks with untoward speed.
Bai meizhen was unreadable, but Xia Anxi looked disbelieving.

As for Sun Liling, she listened with a cocked eyebrow and an unreadable little smirk.

[X] She proposed that any ducal representative wishing to speak with the White Sky ask her to arrange an appointment, which she would personally mediate. (Reduce chances and severity of diplomatic insult. Claims some of Ling Qi's 'free' negotiation time)

Those boots though.

And her little buddy doesn't have his dragon out. ...which might be a problem, now that I think about it, depending on how dragons are viewed in the south. Are ancient grudges still a thing?

Odd that the first choice "reduces chance of diplomatic insult" when going that far seems like an insult in and of itself. It's saying that she can't trust people not to start shit the first chance they get, whether that means the shit-stirrers are on the Imperial or White Sky sides.
I don't trust Liling or the MoI to not start shit the first chance they get. That is probably their explicit purposes here, though the MoI party's nominal boss might not know it.

By using the hall they legitimize it.

On another note, I'm looking forward to the day when Ling Qi wipes that smirk from Liling's face and makes her suffer a full Villainous Breakdown.

"Eh, you lot are moving enough stuff that I doubt you're planning to punch and run down there," Zheng Fu drawled. "Hell, I hear your grandpappy's had some real big wigs tearing up open mines down there. Sure sounds permanent to me."
Sun Liling squinted at Zheng Fu, Ling Qi blinked, she hadn't expected that. "There ain't as many tribes in our chunk of mountains, might as well get some use out of 'em," Sun Liling shrugged. "We ain't planning big settlements. Also not really the point of this, is it?"
Haha Liling isn't used to being in the room with somebody who can shit talk her and whose family has a bigger rep of being asskickers nor fluster them as they are not hung up on Imperial decorum.

What are you gonna do, threaten a Zheng? With what? The province with the most Whites and is on the other side of the Empire? Good luck with that, Sun.

I'm down for this one, giving up any valuable time is bad, but letting the talks fall completely out of our hand is also bad, so going with the middle feels right for the pick.

Any more interactions between this group of people looks to be very entertaining to say the least
