So, this is either Sakura or Shinji. In one case, we don't wanna try anything because everything will end up being easier if we just go along, in the other... i dunno. Shinji is a horrible, horrible person but i dunno how Sakura will take us actually swinging around magic so trying the spell might just fuck up that area. I will go with the safest option, we can always use command seal later.

Wait... Ilya has Rider? Did i miss something? I would think she would have Archer Heracles (which like, ooof for anyone facing them, if you thought Berserker Herc was bad) but damn am i forgetful.

Hey @Erien can I do a write in on this? Specifically about trying to contact Mordred to inform him that his Master is currently in danger so he won't be able to finish the fight if Shirou is not alive.

How would we contact Mordred tho? Even if we had the means, we don't even know who Mordred is atm, its just weird person in red doing some western kung-fu moves.

Because we are his Master we should be able to talk with Mordred trough the Master/Servant bond. Wait does Shirou know about that bond IC? Like I can't remember Shirou talking to Caster in his head at any point so far. Shit. Oh well in that case @Erien can we vote for Shirou summoning Mordred instead of Caster Edit: with a command seal?

Because Mordred is the one causing problems for Rin and fighting her Servant which means that if Shirou summons Mordred, gets his throat cut and Mordred then realizes that he is losing his master he will fight against the blindfolded woman and Shirou has saved Rin and enabled her to fight against whoever this blindfolded woman. It's very Shirou in story and on the meta-textual level Rin hasn't saved Shirou's life yet so that option maybe on the table still.

Also Illya might even freak out enough to join in on saving Shirou. Makes the clusterfuck a different sort of clusterfuck.

You stare up at the tall servant you ran into, the Greek was an imposing figure to say the least, far taller than you were and with the strength to match. An apologetic look flitted across the servant's face before they reached down to help you back up.

"I'm fine," you grumble. "Take me to breakfast!"

The servant nods, scooping you up in their arms before making their way down the hall towards the dining room. You lean back against them, savoring their warmth, even with your clothes on the castle was chilly, it was always chilly. Turning your head up slightly, you search their face. "Are you sure he'll be excited to see me?"

Rider looks down at you, her purple hair shifting slightly from the motion. "I believe you should try."

You nod, ignoring the worry in your gut that was in a deathmatch with the hope and excitement in your heart. Breakfast, some planning, then… trying to find your brother. You just hope Rider was right, you had… planned to kill him, but she had convinced you to give him a chance.

You just hope he will.

Less seriously, Saber somehow always was the least interesting of the main heroines to me, but then again, I'm a Rin stan. Mordred, meanwhile, was a delight in Apocrypha. (Then again, I'm one of the three people who *liked* Apocrypha.)

Okay! In that case keeping still is still the best choice! Acquire sibling is a go.

I really need to reread this, i keep tripping up on thinking canon is still canon because i follow like bazzilion other quests and its fucking up my decisionmaking.

I would urge people to reconsider from trying to escape Rider, as clearly her intentions here are benign. Its not her fault she is a legendary monster and when she tries to say she just wants us to chat with her master it comes out as "shut up or i kill you".

On the one hand, I don't know if Medusa would go through on slitting Shirou's throat, because doing so would make Illya unhappy, but on the other hand, I don't know if Shirou would do the smart thing and listen to her threat, because Shirou. Trying one of the spells taught by Circe is suicide however, as Medusa has B rank Magic Resistance. Eh, better safe then sorry.
