Fate/Clusterfuck (Fate/Stay Night)

Ayako is one of the characters in Fate Stay/Night that doesn't get a lot of attention. Probably has something to do with how she's not part of the magic death game for the Holy Grail combined with her relatively tame design.

Hm. My thought is that since this doesn't lock in a specific romance route, is more akin to going out on dates with her as a sort of prelude to locked in route. And since we haven't really done anything with Medea that's overtly trying to court her, besides treating her like an actual human being how deserves to be treated fairly, this wouldn't upset her too much either. Might impact some future interactions though.

There's practical reasons to turn Ayako down, Shirou's own hang-ups, the way she seems to be doing this only out of gratitude (even though she's not, I believe she does have a canon crush on Shirou), and the magic death game we're currently apart of. Still...

I don't expect it to win, but you can't spell clusterfuck with fuck, and there's nothing like romance shenanigans to make people say "Fuck".

Also, don't think we missed a certain eternal kouhai's breaking of time and space to join in the madness.

Medea at this point would not be angry if we pursue romance with someone becaus she is at the moment likely not romantically attracted to shirou. Plus, this character should get more screentime. Knowing most voters as soon as rin or saber shows up they want shirou in a harem relationship with them. I just want one fate story that does not end up with a harem please.

I feel like she should have gotten more screen time before popping this question. If this was Sakura instead in this situation, there probably wouldn't need to be a vote. Ayako on the other hand doesn't have a sad backstory or a route in the original. She's fighting an uphill battle as always.

Even if yes this would be maximum clusterfuck. I think I'd rather Medea be our love interest. That being said I'm not opposed to us becoming closer friends with Ayako and giving her more screentime, since hey the possibility of Ayako getting involved with the grail war in some way would be fun.
