Almost certainly. Worst case scenario is that ours is not the only free exaltation out there. More likely is that this is either White Court (emotional vampirism to feed on the elderly) or Black Court operation.

I want to believe that the government, which is composed of people, is salvageable and we don't actually have to take over the world to make it work. That the Eternal Solar and Emerald Deliberative is not necessary, if a viable option. Basically, I want to see if throwing Internal investigations at the problem is viable.

Oh good, god finally found time to do something about that.
We got a month long binding on Wright's cellphone on the 21st, so we should still have access to that.
My thought is that we should go through that stuff first, since it's the lowest risk and Wright is probably involved in both cases assuming they aren't treating it as a single one.
If that doesn't pan out I'd say light hacking for the moment, because 2 dots of skill doesn't mean they're ready to get into a slap fight with the fbi.

Did phones even have password managers back in 2006? I can't recall.
So, on the food issue. That's actually something long term relevant. Good diet for an exalt is not a good diet for a mortal. Good sleeping conditions for an exalt, ie our poison bath, can be deadly for a mortal. Exercise regiment fit for an exalt would kill or at least cripple a mortal. Molly while still Molly, has different needs than when she was a mortal. We need to work on getting Charity to accept that. Small steps, but steps that need to be taken.
As to the hiking supplies, might I suggest salo? It's a salted/smoked solid fat, with very high caloric content (8 to 9 hundred calories per 100 grams, near the maximum possible for human consumption), and it can also be used as a utility. It's also something that can be homemade and thus likely to be easier to accept for Charity.

1password came out that year, and KeePass launched in 2003, so at least some are around.
Not sure how widespread they are though. My assumption is that a more security conscious organization would encourage use of systems that make using and replacing good passwords easier.
If that's wrong then great, half the passwords we need will be birthdays or variations on the word password.
The thing is Molly isn't trying to be efficient right now, she is a teenager who knows she can eat her body weight in junk food and be fine.

I'm still not convinced this is a good idea. The scale we got for dots in cyber devil allies set two dots at the entry level for professionals:
Daedalus is not a local organization; they're a project run out of the FBI nat sec office. With insider access via compromised electronics I can see it being much easier to work out, but I don't think that our goons are quite good enough for this yet.

Which is why I'm not voting for heavy. It's also important to note that Daedalus is a counter-supernatural taskforce / project. Supernatural in general doesn't deal with technology very well, so it's plausible that they won't focus on cybersecurity, especially if their budget and manpower are strongly limited, and secrecy is paramount.

Just because they're tasked with dealing with supernatural issues doesn't mean they won't be using the same network systems being supported by the FBI's IT staff.
Seems like starting with checking Wright's phone before deciding on doing anything else would at least give us an idea of how to proceed.
This. In addition, they don't just need to worry about direct supernatural interference. They need to cover the possibility of stuff like thralls, otherwise compromised officials, and mundane intrusion from entities and individuals that would already be opposing them. Keeping a secret while acting at the national level like that means having decent cyber security.
You're also going after data that explicitly links to their backing, funding, and oversight. If anything is going to be handled at the grade of a proper national scale organization it's that stuff.
Getting noticed isn't free either. Done right, with the correct mix of cutouts, like uncooperative VPNs and outright running the cyber devils involved on machines not linked to us, they shouldn't be able to trace us. They will tighten up security though, and put their best effort into figuring out who was hacking their stuff.
Which means making it harder to do this in the future when we have more to work with.
