Is counterspelling even really an option for them?
DF magic users seem to default to dispelling things by shooting the caster.
We see some curse breaking, but that never happens in combat conditions that I'm aware of.
They do.
The magic swords that the Wardens carry cut through magic and magic items, disrupting magic. And there are items and magic pacts that convey magic resistance or immunity.
If you read White Night, you'll see the duel where Ramorez and Dresden killed two White Court vamps, Ramirez used his sword to disrupt the bands on one of the Whamps arms.
The Wardens do that type of combat time counterspelling all the time.
Its just not really relevant in combat time unless you are very, very good or have an artifact to offload some of the heavy lifting to.
Molly is probably going to be very interested in combat counterspelling, since most of her offensive options dont require magic, just charms. So denying her enemies of magic....
Shouldn't we get mind hand for flight?
Isnt it better or...?
We can simply buy Flight with By Rage Recast, and we intend to at the next XP spending interval.
Mind-Hand Manipulation is more expensive(8Xp vs 6XP) and requires a roll to get enough successes for flight, and while its relatively easy, better to take the lowhanging fruit.
