Given initial impressions I'm down to interact more with Lao Keung in general, but now seems like a good time to make a better opening impression on XA. He also theoretically gives us an in on some of the music styles of Thousand Lakes, which could be really nice to have handy at some point in the future, both for Meizhen and in general.
As far as Lao Keung, hopefully there'll be plenty of time later for his husbando viability to be fleshed out, and LQ will have some more time to investigate his impeccable physique. We certainly wouldn't want to abstain.

In my head, Yrs will have made the beefy Bai a python to make a Hulk Hogan bicep joke and nothing will convince me to the contrary.

I guess I am convinced by the question of what sorts of things 'keeping a handle on' the Bai retainers might mean in the context of the Sun arriving. I am more confident that we can restrain and redirect red snek than I am music snek. And I think Meizhen can handle him with no issues. So... Is this a "face against outsiders" or a "future leverage" sort of situation?

Also, we haven't been cramming music theory studies since our dinner date have we? So regarding our shared interest, our music convo might be... awkward? Like Anxi didn't seem to believe that our particular style could b worthy of interest. And our musical knowledge-base beyond our own arts is abysmal.

Eh, I kinda just don't like pompous purple very much. But I do like the idea of exploring why he's afraid of Meizhen... and making him afraid of us.

I think we need to get to know them both better, it's not even a matter who we like more or who is more interesting, we just need the ability to predict and influence Meizhens new followers to keep them, and Meizhen, out of trouble in a pinch.

Looks like Meizhen got Ling Qi back for her teasing over Bao Qingling after she set up Wang Chao's dueling club.
