Hisana has reached A-Rank Noiterity. Chose one trait from the list below.
[x] Student of the Copy Ninja: Hisana is known for adapting techniques to her own uses. Improves HIsana's ability to copy ninjutsu with the Sharingan.
[x] The Last Daughter of the Uchiha: Hisana is known for her status as the de-facto head of the Uchiha clan. Improves Hisana's abilities with esoteric Sharingan skills (genjutsu, etc.)
[x] Crimson Sealmistress. Hisana is known for her seal work. Improves Hisana's ability with seals.
[x] Weilder of the Sword fo Spring. Hisana is known for her superlative swordswomanship. Improves Hisana's ability with samurai-style techniques.
Hmm. All tempting. I guess the Uchiha trait is least so though, given we don't use a lot of genjutsu, and I don't think we have any plans to go for the Mangekyo.
The Sword trait... it is one of our big mainstays, so we'd benefit from it. On the other hand, I worry about becoming overspecialized. So in the end it comes down to Sealing or Copying for me.
We'd definitely benefit from better sealing, on the other hand I don't know how many countermeasures there are against seals and how much a prepared enemy could screw us over, plus our personal seals are very well suited for low-profile trump cards that don't give any obvious hints on how we do the things we do.
The copy trait may seem weak on the face of it, but at the same time most of the techniques we know that aren't seals or kenjutsu are ultimately copied, and many of them are quite good: Chakra Strings with their multiple derivatives, Chakra Draining, Chidori, and Arrow-Defying Hurricane, for the most notable. It's the trait that potentially gives us the most versatility.
Plus it's most likely to evolve into the reputation that appeals to me most come S-class, namely the Queen of Thieves that shamelessly steals the techniques of any other strong ninja she's ever even heard of. Though I do have a few things I'd like clarified before voting for it.
@Tekomandor:
- The Copy Ninja trait only applies to ninjutsu, and not to taijutsu, correct? Where's the boundary exactly regarding nintaijutsu such as the Gentle Fist or the Frog Sage Fist, for example, or hypothetical styles relying on touch seals and the like?
- How does the better copying manifest, exactly? Does it let us learn techniques more easily and give us the chance to copy better and more esoteric techniques than we could otherwise? Or does it manifest as Kakashi's fake-mindreading where he matches an enemy's jutsu while they're casting it? The former I'd be interested in, the latter less so.
- How easy is it for a prepared opponent to disrupt personal seals like we use? I'm worried that we might see stuff like Orochimaru messing up Naruto's chakra control by slamming an unmatched seal onto him in the forest of death, if everyone knows we rely heavily on personal seals.
- What exactly does 'esoteric Sharingan skills' include? Sharingan genjutsu, Mangekyo techniques, am I missing anything else? Copying is already covered by it's own traits.
