    • While it's technically a tie, the only difference between the two plans is that one adds "on said trains" to "send in the Gendarmes to capture the spies", so I'm going to assume that's what the other plan means as well. I'll get started on the update after work tomorrow and should hopefully have something by Saturday evening.

    Yeah, i added that after you asked for clarification, they were always ment to go after the trains.

    I mean yes, but wouldn't that be something Comstar would announce publicly so we would know through the General Rumor tab? I mean its like a combination of a new CEO, President, and the Pope being declared, its a big deal.
     
    Yeah, Tiepolo is still the Primus of Comstar (lucky bastard missed a heart attack). That said, he's old and in a stressful role, so he probably won't be there for much longer.

    Well maybe for us we might get lucky and some sort of counter-faction gets power rather than Myndo or enough resistance is built to keep her stuck in internal affairs rather than being a pain on the IS as a whole.

    Oh and maybe Tiepolo actually gets to retire, the man deserves it.

    Well we do know that Operation Rosebud is seemingly going ahead, which was Myndo's Brainchild, so it seems likely she might succeed Tiepolo anyway. . .
     
    Actually now that i think about it, the Combines actions last turn reeks of a reimagined OPERATION ROSEBUD, because even without the Federated Commonwealth being a thing (but with the defeat and breaking of the CC and the 'alliance of the FWL/FS) Waterly still wants to fractionalize the IS as much as possible and she'd still try to even without being Primus. So she probably fronted an effort to exchange the release of the RR, which in cannon happened in 3034, for assistance on getting the Catapult factories operational at best, at worst the DC is going to star pulling out lost tech they 'found' (i.e. Comstar gave them).

    EDIT: Ninjad; also, because Sharilar Mori the DC precentor is a DC agent as much as they are Myndo's aid/dragon they probably know about us

    The old Primus died from a heart attack because they got confirmation that the NAIS had a copy of the Helm memory core. They never got that notice this time so there was no heart attack.

    No the snippet had nothing to do with us and it was the Primus that brought up the Periphery and that was only about the ORDI being formed. Nothing about launching any operation or hostile action.

    Thats the most logical answer, but then that begs to question whats going on with the Helm Core. I mean we haven't heard anything about the Grey Death Legion so...

    Did we butterfly the Tiantan massacre away? So no false flag Comstar op as they were too busy setting up the FS interdiction. No reason for the Grey Death Legion to discover Helm Core.

    I haven't read the books so I'm not sure how this would have played out

    That doesn't make any sense, how would we butterfly that away, we have had no impact on the FWL actions much less their interactions with the GDL? if anything the whole issue would be drowned out by the FWL/FS/TC gaining up on the Capellans given that happened the year of 3028. Comstar probably was having a panic attack at the time and the whole cache thing fell into the cracks of history. leaving two options

    1. the GDL haven't found it yet

    2. The GDL has found it, but its being kept secret (?)
