It would appear that something has happened already, ergo his plan already has a non-zero chance of success. Thus, knowing why would probably be better here.

I'd rather just skip finding out motives and see if there are any flaws in his plan or if we can offer any aid.

I feel like we know why. He's trying to redeem it. It is that very act of reaching down and pulling another up - of making the world a better place through your connections with others. That is what he seeks.

Given that, I feel like interrogating what is the better choice, as that's the one that best puts us in a position to help, either by offerign useful advice, or by offering direct assistance.

We know what he wants. But LQ doesn't and she struggles with those very things. Listening to it will be very important for her character

We have a disagreement, i repeat, we have a disagreement, operation "contentious vote" is moving forward. :V

Honestly either one works for me, i prefer going for the how but why is not bad either.
