On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

...I wonder if the KoTS Himself is trying to butterfly away the War of the Beard? (How many more years are there for that, based on the original timeline btw?). If the Brana have a large proportion of Azyr users, and enough of those users can use distance communication, then the Dwarves would also get access to it through their alliance (which wasn't a capability present at all in the original timeline, the way I've heard it told).

I do not think he would be able to see that, not only because it is so distant and so dependent on the choices of people yet unborn but also because the Dark Gods would be working overtime to make sure it is not seen and that it does happen.

the Dark Gods would be working overtime to make sure it is not seen and that it does happen.

And once again the Drudgery of Daily Work triumphs over the forces of Fantasy! Instead of Reigning as Gods, they are forced to stay in the Office to ensure the success of the Enterprise. :V

Next you will see them berated by the Ancestor Gods for their shoddy work and lazy work ethic.

Wondering if there is a plan for that gollum? Not expecting it anytime soon but still!
Don't take me as an authority on this, since I'm just one person and this is pretty much entirely hypothetical, but I wouldn't expect to see the Bloodthirster Gronti until after we unlock the next tier of Gromril. Whenever that is. There's a lot on the docket and plenty of shiny things to look at, plus whatever comes up as we go, so it's anyone's guess when this'll happen. Or if it'll even happen to begin with, since even something as relatively simple as gear for the Hearth Guard remains hypothetical. Then you have the fact that this is a quest, and everyone has ideas on what should be our priorities from turn to turn even if there was some speculative planning done before hand on what our roadmap should be.

You know, looking over the requests I have to say the axe is pretty much the last one I would be inclined to do. Requests are not generally my thing, but if I did take one of them I would be inclined towards the pick or the war machine simply because we have not done one of those at all or at least in a while. By contrast an axe for a dwarf king was literally our first major commission. Call it dwarf infection with a mutation of the Rule of Pride if you will but I don't want to do another axe in a good long while yet.

The last, and only in contention by virtue of his contributions, is a radical young beardling by the name of Thorri Rorisson, an engineer known for his willingness to adopt new technology fresh off of its centuries-long test run, and the great amount of gold, for a dwarf his age, he has earned through careful investment and the success of several of his own creations.
This is from Turn 34. Thorri is spelled with two rs while Rorisson is spelled with one r.

Thori Rorrisson, in the wake of the grave insult levied against him by his fellow Claimant, has decided to strike out with his followers in tow.
This is from Turn 37. Thori is spelled with one R while Rorrisson is spelled with two.

- Thori Rorrisson has at last found succour it seems. Disappearing from Kadrin not but twenty decades ago the young Dwarf and his followers have reared their heads in the Far east of all places.
This is from Turn 39. Twenty decades should be changed to two decades. While Thori is spelled with one R and Rorrison is spelled with two.

Is it supposed to be Thorri Rorisson or Thori Rorrisson?

After all, when a grandson of Grungni Himself tells you you're reckoning is incorrect in such meticulous and lurid detail, there is little to do but swallow and nod.
This is from the Turn 34 results, you're should be changed to your

Its been a at least three centuries since we last made an axe for a coronation of a new royal line.

[X] Plan Basket, plus prepare the defenses

The runes of Valaya have been sitting for a while. And if anybody can profit greatly from them, it's her priesthood.

Ancestors, there is never enough actions for us to start working through our research backlog

Kholek's brain has probably rotted by now XD

While I am not particularly keen on making the Axe in and of itself, I am tempted (not sold on it yet) by that Kadrin rep and standing gain.

The idea being that even though Snorri may not like politics with our decisions about forged limbs we are going to have to deal with politics anyways, and getting Kadrin in our corner could give us a bit more political heft. On the flip side expanding our influence outside the north could make us enemies who would ignore us as long as we stayed in the North. So I am still thinking it over, and would be happy to hear any arguments in either direction.

That's pretty unlikely to happen once the Chainmaker gets unveiled on Turn 41 or so during Rhunkalbrogg.

No one will gainsay Snorri then, especially given his reputation for his Great and Terrible Generosity

At most we'll get some rivalries I think

I don't think accepting a Commission from another hold will earn us any enemies of that kind.
Maybe another Vragni type, at the most, which would be interesting, tbh. Someone who wants to dislike us, but can't find a socially acceptable reason to do so.
As long as we deliver on our deal, it's just a business transaction with a rider to satisfy Karak Kadrin's slight towards Clan Winterhearth, so they can't legally interfere or do anything but grumble.
Until pretty recently we were pretty studiously avoiding having anything to do with Guild Politics, but now with the Gromril Chainmail and the Limbs, that will inevitably change, whether we make the Axe for the new king or not.
Eventually our name will become known across Karaz Ankor, alongside the Great Runelords of the Realm: this is just another step on that path.

Alric Thungnisson (before Turn 41 Rhunkalbrogg): *thinking* Hmmph, that boi Snorri seems to have odd, but interesting ways to look at how a Runelord should behave. At least measuring how useful to the Hold a Runelord candidate is would make for an... acceptable standard.

Alric Thungnisson (after Turn 41 Rhunkalbrogg): *very tempted to turn his head towards his Lord Father sitting beside him*

Thungni: *laffs in Ancestor God of Runes*
